und sprach: Das lasse Gott ferne von mir sein, daß ich solches tue und trinke das Blut dieser Männer in ihres Lebens Fahr; denn sie haben's mit ihres Lebens Fahr hergebracht. Darum wollte er's nicht trinken. Das taten die drei Helden.

David deseó entonces, y dijo: ¡Quién me diera á beber de las aguas del pozo de Beth-lehem, que está á la puerta!

And David longed, and said, Oh that one would give me drink of the water of the well of Beth-lehem, that is at the gate!

David longed, and said, “Oh, that someone would give me water to drink from the well of Bethlehem, which is by the gate!”
