8De la tribu de Gad, algunos hombres se unieron a David en su refugio en el desierto. Eran guerreros valientes y entrenados para la batalla, expertos en manejar el escudo y la lanza. Sus caras parecían de león y eran tan rápidos como gacelas en las montañas:

8También de los de Gad se huyeron á David, estando en la fortaleza en el desierto, muy valientes hombres de guerra para pelear, dispuestos á hacerlo con escudo y pavés: sus rostros como rostros de leones, y ligeros como las cabras monteses.

8And of the Gadites there separated themselves unto David into the hold to the wilderness men of might, and men of war fit for the battle, that could handle shield and buckler, whose faces were like the faces of lions, and were as swift as the roes upon the mountains;
