Así que subieron a Baal Perazim, y allí David los derrotó. David dijo: “Dios usó mis manos para abrir una brecha entre mis enemigos, como una corriente de agua que se desborda.” Por eso llamaron a ese lugar Baal Perazim.
Subieron pues á Baal-perasim, y allí los hirió David. Dijo luego David: Dios rompió mis enemigos por mi mano, como se rompen las aguas. Por esto llamaron el nombre de aquel lugar Baal-perasim.

David hizo tal como Dios le ordenó, y derrotaron al ejército filisteo desde Gabaón hasta Gezer.
