1 Crónicas 15

E hizo David casas para sí mismo en la ciudad de David; y preparó un lugar para el cofre del pacto de Dios, y puso una tienda para ello.

HIZO también casas para sí en la ciudad de David, y labró un lugar para el arca de Dios, y tendióle una tienda.

And David made him houses in the city of David, and prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched for it a tent.

David made himself houses in David’s city; and he prepared a place for God’s ark, and pitched a tent for it.

Entonces David dijo: El cofre del pacto de Dios no puede ser movida por nadie más que los levitas, porque han sido escogidos por Dios para tomar el cofre del pacto de Dios y hacer su trabajo para siempre.

Entonces dijo David: El arca de Dios no debe ser traída sino por los Levitas; porque á ellos ha elegido Jehová para que lleven el arca de Jehová, y le sirvan perpetuamente.

Then David said, None ought to carry the ark of God but the Levites: for them hath the LORD chosen to carry the ark of God, and to minister unto him for ever.

Then David said, “No one ought to carry God’s ark but the Levites. For the LORD has chosen them to carry God’s ark, and to minister to him forever.”

E hizo David que se juntara todo Israel en Jerusalén para llevar el cofre del pacto del Señor a su lugar, que él había preparado para ello.

Y juntó David á todo Israel en Jerusalem, para que pasasen el arca de Jehová á su lugar, el cual le había él preparado.

And David gathered all Israel together to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the LORD unto his place, which he had prepared for it.

Y juntó David a los hijos de Aarón y a los levitas;

De los hijos de Hebrón: Eliel el jefe, y sus hermanos, ochenta;

De los hijos de Uziel: Aminadab el jefe, y sus hermanos, ciento doce.

Y envió David a buscar a Sadoc y a Abiatar los sacerdotes, y a los levitas, Uriel, Asaías y Joel, a Eliel y a Aminadab.

Y llamó David á Sadoc y á Abiathar, sacerdotes, y á los Levitas, Uriel, Asaías, Joel, Semeías, Eliel, y Aminadab;

And David called for Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and for the Levites, for Uriel, Asaiah, and Joel, Shemaiah, and Eliel, and Amminadab,

Y les dijo: Ustedes son los jefes de las familias de los levitas: purifíquense ritualmente junto con sus parientes, para que puedan llevar el cofre del Señor, el Dios de Israel, al lugar que le he preparado para ello.

Y díjoles: Vosotros que sois los principales de padres entre los Levitas, santificaos, vosotros y vuestros hermanos, y pasad el arca de Jehová Dios de Israel al lugar que le he preparado;

And said unto them, Ye are the chief of the fathers of the Levites: sanctify yourselves, both ye and your brethren, that ye may bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel unto the place that I have prepared for it.

and said to them, “You are the heads of the fathers’ households of the Levites. Sanctify yourselves, both you and your brothers, that you may bring the ark of the LORD, the God of Israel, up to the place that I have prepared for it.

Porque como al principio, no lo hicieron el Señor nuestro Dios nos castigó, porque no recibimos instrucciones de él de la manera correcta.

Pues por no haberlo hecho así vosotros la primera vez, Jehová nuestro Dios hizo en nosotros rotura, por cuanto no le buscamos según la ordenanza.

For because ye did it not at the first, the LORD our God made a breach upon us, for that we sought him not after the due order.

For because you didn’t carry it at first, the LORD our God broke out in anger against us, because we didn’t seek him according to the ordinance.”

Entonces los sacerdotes y los levitas se santificaron para tomar el cofre del pacto del Señor, el Dios de Israel.

Así los sacerdotes y los Levitas se santificaron para traer el arca de Jehová Dios de Israel.

So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel.

Y los hijos de los levitas tomaron el cofre del pacto de Dios, levantándolo por sus varas, como el Señor le había dicho a Moisés.

And the children of the Levites bare the ark of God upon their shoulders with the staves thereon, as Moses commanded according to the word of the LORD.

Y David le ordenó al jefe de los levitas que pusiera en posición a sus hermanos, los cantores, con instrumentos de música, instrumentos con cuerdas y metales, con voces alegres que hacían sonidos de alegría.

Asimismo dijo David á los principales de los Levitas, que constituyesen de sus hermanos cantores, con instrumentos de música, con salterios, y arpas, y címbalos, que resonasen, y alzasen la voz con alegría.

And David spake to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brethren to be the singers with instruments of musick, psalteries and harps and cymbals, sounding, by lifting up the voice with joy.

Y a Heman, hijo de Joel, y de sus hermanos, a Asaf, hijo de Berequías; y de los hijos de Merari sus hermanos, Etan, el hijo de Cusaias, fue puesto en posición por los levitas;

Y los Levitas constituyeron á Hemán hijo de Joel; y de sus hermanos, á Asaph hijo de Berechîas; y de los hijos de Merari y de sus hermanos, á Ethán hijo de Cusaías;

So the Levites appointed Heman the son of Joel; and of his brethren, Asaph the son of Berechiah; and of the sons of Merari their brethren, Ethan the son of Kushaiah;

So the Levites appointed Heman the son of Joel; and of his brothers, Asaph the son of Berechiah; and of the sons of Merari their brothers, Ethan the son of Kushaiah;

Y con ellos sus hermanos de segundo orden, Zacarías, Bani y Jaaziel y Semiramont y Jehiel y Uni, Eliab y Benaia y Maasias, Matatias, Elifelehu y Micnias, y Obed-edom y Jeiel, los porteros de las puertas.

Y con ellos á sus hermanos del segundo orden, á Zachârías, Ben y Jaaziel, Semiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Benaías, Maasías, y Mathithías, Eliphelehu, Micnías, Obed-edom, y Jehiel, los porteros.

And with them their brethren of the second degree, Zechariah, Ben, and Jaaziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, Eliab, and Benaiah, and Maaseiah, and Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah, and Obed-edom, and Jeiel, the porters.

and with them their brothers of the second rank: Zechariah, Ben, Jaaziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Benaiah, Maaseiah, Mattithiah, Eliphelehu, Mikneiah, Obed-Edom, and Jeiel, the doorkeepers.

Así que los cantores, Heman, Asaf y Etan, se pusieron en posición, con címbalos de bronce, sonando fuerte;

So the singers, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, were appointed to sound with cymbals of brass;

Y Zacarías, Aziel, Semiramot, Jehiel, Uni, Eliab, Maasias, Benaia, con arpas colocados en Alamot en notas altas.

Y Zachârías, Jaaziel, Semiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Maasías, y Benaías, con salterios sobre Alamoth.

And Zechariah, and Aziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, and Eliab, and Maaseiah, and Benaiah, with psalteries on Alamoth;

and Zechariah, Aziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Maaseiah, and Benaiah, with stringed instruments set to Alamoth;

Y Matatías, Elifelehu, Micnias, Obed-edom, Jeiel y Azazia, con arpas con ocho cuerdas, para dar la primera nota de la canción.

Y Mathithías, Eliphelehu, Micnías, Obed-edom, Jehiel, y Azazías, cantaban con arpas en la octava sobresaliendo.

And Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah, and Obed-edom, and Jeiel, and Azaziah, with harps on the Sheminith to excel.

and Mattithiah, Eliphelehu, Mikneiah, Obed-Edom, Jeiel, and Azaziah, with harps tuned to the eight-stringed lyre, to lead.

Y Quenanías, jefe de los levitas, dio instrucciones sobre el transporte; era maestro de la música, porque era un experto.

Y Chênanías, principal de los Levitas, estaba para la entonación; pues él presidía en el canto, porque era entendido.

And Chenaniah, chief of the Levites, was for song: he instructed about the song, because he was skilful.

Y Berequías y Elcana guardaban las puertas del cofre del pacto.

Y Berechîas y Elcana eran porteros del arca.

And Berechiah and Elkanah were doorkeepers for the ark.

Y a Sebania, Josafat, Natanael, Amasai, Zacarías, Benaias, Eliezer, los sacerdotes, sonaban las trompetas delante del cofre del pacto de Dios; y Obed-edom y Jehias eran guardianes de las puertas del cofre del pacto.

Y Sebanías, Josaphat, Nathanael, Amasai, Zachârías, Benaías, y Eliezer, sacerdotes, tocaban las trompetas delante del arca de Dios: Obed-edom y Jehías eran también porteros del arca.

And Shebaniah, and Jehoshaphat, and Nethaneel, and Amasai, and Zechariah, and Benaiah, and Eliezer, the priests, did blow with the trumpets before the ark of God: and Obed-edom and Jehiah were doorkeepers for the ark.

Shebaniah, Joshaphat, Nethanel, Amasai, Zechariah, Benaiah, and Eliezer, the priests, blew the trumpets before God’s ark; and Obed-Edom and Jehiah were doorkeepers for the ark.

Así que David, y los hombres responsables de Israel, y los capitanes de miles, se fueron con alegría para sacar el cofre del pacto del Señor de la casa de Obed-edom.

David pues y los ancianos de Israel, y los capitanes de millares, fueron á traer el arca del pacto de Jehová, de casa de Obed-edom, con alegría.

So David, and the elders of Israel, and the captains over thousands, went to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the house of Obed-edom with joy.

Y cuando Dios ayudó a los levitas que levantaban el cofre del pacto del Señor, hicieron una ofrenda de siete bueyes y siete ovejas.

And it came to pass, when God helped the Levites that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, that they offered seven bullocks and seven rams.

Y David estaba vestido con una túnica de lino precioso, como lo eran todos los levitas que tomaron el cofre del pacto, y los que hicieron la melodía, y Quenanías que dirigía el canto; además David tenía un efod de lino;

And David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and all the Levites that bare the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah the master of the song with the singers: David also had upon him an ephod of linen.

Entonces, todo Israel tomó el cofre del pacto del Señor, con fuertes gritos de alegría y con cuernos, címbalos y arpas.

De esta manera llevaba todo Israel el arca del pacto de Jehová, con júbilo y sonido de bocinas, y trompetas, y címbalos, y al son de salterios y arpas.

Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the LORD with shouting, and with sound of the cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, making a noise with psalteries and harps.
