1Trajeron el Arca de Dios y la colocaron en la tienda que David había preparado para ella. Presentaron holocaustos y ofrendas de amistad a Dios.
2Cuando David terminó de presentar los holocaustos y las ofrendas de amistad, bendijo al pueblo en nombre del Señor.
3Luego repartió a cada israelita, a cada hombre y a cada mujer, una hogaza de pan, una torta de dátiles y una torta de pasas.
4David asignó a algunos de los levitas para que sirvieran de ministros ante el Arca del Señor, para recordar, agradecer y alabar al Señor, el Dios de Israel.
5Asaf era el encargado, Zacarías era el segundo, luego Jeiel, Semiramot, Jehiel, Matatías, Eliab, Benaía, Obed-edom y Jeiel. Tocaban arpas y liras, y Asaf tocaba los címbalos,
6y los sacerdotes Benaía y Jahaziel tocaban continuamente las trompetas delante del Arca del Pacto de Dios.
7Este fue el día en que David instruyó por primera vez a Asaf y a sus parientes para que dieran gracias al Señor de esta manera:
8Denle gracias al Señor, adoren su naturaleza maravillosa, ¡hagan saber lo que ha hecho!
9Cántenle, canten sus alabanzas; cuéntenle a todos las grandes cosas que ha hecho.
10Enorgullézcanse de su carácter santo; ¡alégrense todos los que se acercan al Señor!
11Busquen al Señor y su fuerza; busquen siempre estar con él.
12Recuerden todas las maravillas que ha hecho, los milagros que ha realizado y los juicios que ha pronunciado,
13descendientes de Israel, hijos de Jacob, su pueblo elegido.
14Él es el Señor, nuestro Dios, sus juicios cubren toda la tierra.
15Él se acuerda de su acuerdo para siempre, la promesa que hizo dura mil generaciones
16el acuerdo que hizo con Abraham, el voto que hizo a Isaac.
17El Señor lo confirmó legalmente con Jacob, hizo este acuerdo eterno con Israel
18diciendo: “Les daré la tierra de Canaán para que la posean”.
19Dijo esto cuando sólo eran unos pocos, un pequeño grupo de extranjeros en la tierra.
20Iban de un país a otro, de un reino a otro.
21No permitió que nadie los tratara mal; advirtió a los reyes que los dejaran en paz:
22“¡No toquen a mi pueblo elegido, no hagan daño a mis profetas!”
23¡Cántenle al Señor! ¡Que toda la tierra le cante al Señor! ¡Que cada día todos oigan de su salvación!
24Anuncien sus actos gloriosos entre las naciones, las maravillas que hace entre todos los pueblos.
25Porque el Señor es grande y merece la mejor alabanza. Él debe ser respetado con temor por encima de todos los dioses.
26Porque todos los dioses de las demás naciones son ídolos, pero el Señor hizo los cielos.
27Suyos son el esplendor y la majestuosidad; en su santuario hay poder y gloria.
28Reconozcan al Señor, naciones del mundo, dénle la gloria y el poder.
29Dénle al Señor la gloria que se merece; traigan una ofrenda y preséntense ante él. Adoren al Señor en su magnífica santidad.
30Que todo el mundo en la tierra tiemble ante su presencia. El mundo se mantiene unido con firmeza; no puede romperse.
31Que los cielos canten de alegría, que la tierra se alegre. Digan a las naciones: “¡El Señor está al mando!”
32¡Que el mar y todo lo que hay en él griten de alabanza! Que los campos y todo lo que hay en ellos celebren;
33Que todos los árboles del bosque canten de alegría, porque él viene a juzgar la tierra.
34Denle gracias al Señor, porque es bueno. Su amor es eterno.
35Griten: “¡Sálvanos, Señor, Dios nuestro! Reúnenos de entre las naciones, rescátanos, para que podamos darte gracias y alabar lo magnífico y santo que eres”.
36¡Qué maravilloso es el Señor, el Dios de Israel, que vive por los siglos de los siglos! Entonces todo el pueblo dijo: “¡Amén!” y “¡Alaben al Señor!”.
37Entonces David se aseguró de que Asaf y sus hermanos ministraran continuamente ante el Arca del Pacto del Señor, realizando los servicios que fueran necesarios cada día,
38así como Obed-edom y sus sesenta y ocho parientes. Obed-edom, hijo de Jedutún, y Hosa, eran porteros.
39David puso al sacerdote Sadoc y a sus compañeros sacerdotes a cargo del Arca del Señor en el lugar alto de Gabaón
40para que presentaran holocaustos al Señor en el altar de los holocaustos, por la mañana y por la tarde, según todo lo que estaba escrito en la ley del Señor que él había ordenado seguir a Israel.
41Los acompañaban Hemán, Jedutún y el resto de los elegidos e identificados por su nombre para dar gracias al Señor, porque “su amor confiable es eterno”.
42Hemán y Jedutún usaron sus trompetas y címbalos para hacer música que acompañara los cantos de Dios. Los hijos de Jedutún custodiaban la puerta.
43Luego todo el pueblo se fue a su casa, y David fue a bendecir a su familia.

1ASÍ trajeron el arca de Dios, y asentáronla en medio de la tienda que David había tendido para ella: y ofrecieron holocaustos y pacíficos delante de Dios.
2Y como David hubo acabado de ofrecer el holocausto y los pacíficos, bendijo al pueblo en el nombre de Jehová.
3Y repartió á todo Israel, así á hombres como á mujeres, á cada uno una torta de pan, y una pieza de carne, y un frasco de vino.
4Y puso delante del arca de Jehová ministros de los Levitas, para que recordasen, y confesasen, y loasen á Jehová Dios de Israel:
5Asaph el primero, el segundo después de él Zachârías, Jeiel, Semiramoth, Jehiel, Mathithías, Eliab, Benaías, Obed-edom, y Jehiel, con sus instrumentos de salterios y arpas; mas Asaph hacía sonido con címbalos:
6Benaías también y Jahaziel, sacerdotes, continuamente con trompetas delante del arca del pacto de Dios.
7Entonces, en aquel día, dió David principio á celebrar á Jehová por mano de Asaph y de sus hermanos:
8Confesad á Jehová, invocad su nombre, haced notorias en los pueblos sus obras.
9Cantad á él, cantadle salmos; hablad de todas sus maravillas.
10Gloriaos en su santo nombre; alégrese el corazón de los que buscan á Jehová.
11Buscad á Jehová y su fortaleza; buscad su rostro continuamente.
12Haced memoria de sus maravillas que ha obrado, de sus prodigios, y de los juicios de su boca,
13Oh vosotros, simiente de Israel su siervo, hijos de Jacob, sus escogidos.
14Jehová, él es nuestro Dios; sus juicios en toda la tierra.
15Haced memoria de su alianza perpetuamente, y de la palabra que él mandó en mil generaciones;
16Del pacto que concertó con Abraham, y de su juramento á Isaac;
17El cual confirmó á Jacob por estatuto, y á Israel por pacto sempiterno,
18Diciendo: A ti daré la tierra de Canaán, suerte de vuestra herencia;
19Cuando erais pocos en número, pocos y peregrinos en ella;
20Y andaban de nación en nación, y de un reino á otro pueblo.
21No permitió que nadie los oprimiese: antes por amor de ellos castigó á los reyes.
22No toquéis, dijo, á mis ungidos, ni hagáis mal á mis profetas.
23Cantad á Jehová, toda la tierra, anunciad de día en día su salud.
24Cantad entre las gentes su gloria, y en todos los pueblos sus maravillas.
25Porque grande es Jehová, y digno de ser grandemente loado, y de ser temido sobre todos los dioses.
26Porque todos los dioses de los pueblos son nada: mas Jehová hizo los cielos.
27Poderío y hermosura delante de él; fortaleza y alegría en su morada.
28Atribuid á Jehová, oh familias de los pueblos, atribuid á Jehová gloria y potencia.
29Tributad á Jehová la gloria debida á su nombre: traed ofrenda, y venid delante de él; postraos delante de Jehová en la hermosura de su santidad.
30Temed en su presencia, toda la tierra: el mundo será aún establecido, para que no se conmueva.
31Alégrense los cielos, y gócese la tierra, y digan en las naciones: Reina Jehová.
32Resuene la mar, y la plenitud de ella: alégrese el campo, y todo lo que contiene.
33Entonces cantarán los árboles de los bosques delante de Jehová, porque viene á juzgar la tierra.
34Celebrad á Jehová, porque es bueno; porque su misericordia es eterna.
35Y decid: Sálvanos, oh Dios, salud nuestra: júntanos, y líbranos de las gentes, para que confesemos tu santo nombre, y nos gloriemos en tus alabanzas.
36Bendito sea Jehová Dios de Israel, de eternidad á eternidad. Y dijo todo el pueblo, Amén: y alabó á Jehová.
37Y dejó allí, delante del arca del pacto de Jehová, á Asaph y á sus hermanos, para que ministrasen de continuo delante del arca, cada cosa en su día:
38Y á Obed-edom y á sus hermanos, sesenta y ocho; y á Obed-edom hijo de Jeduthún, y á Asa, por porteros:
39Asimismo á Sadoc el sacerdote, y á sus hermanos los sacerdotes, delante del tabernáculo de Jehová en el alto que estaba en Gabaón,
40Para que sacrificasen continuamente, á mañana y tarde, holocaustos á Jehová en el altar del holocausto, conforme á todo lo que está escrito en la ley de Jehová, que él prescribió á Israel;
41Y con ellos á Hemán y á Jeduthún, y los otros escogidos declarados por sus nombres, para glorificar á Jehová, porque es eterna su misericordia;
42Con ellos á Hemán y á Jeduthún con trompetas y címbalos para tañer, y con otros instrumentos de música de Dios; y á los hijos de Jeduthún, por porteros.
43Y todo el pueblo se fué cada uno á su casa; y David se volvió para bendecir su casa.

1So they brought the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it: and they offered burnt sacrifices and peace offerings before God.
2And when David had made an end of offering the burnt offerings and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD.
3And he dealt to every one of Israel, both man and woman, to every one a loaf of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine.
4And he appointed certain of the Levites to minister before the ark of the LORD, and to record, and to thank and praise the LORD God of Israel:
5Asaph the chief, and next to him Zechariah, Jeiel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obed-edom: and Jeiel with psalteries and with harps; but Asaph made a sound with cymbals;
6Benaiah also and Jahaziel the priests with trumpets continually before the ark of the covenant of God.
7Then on that day David delivered first this psalm to thank the LORD into the hand of Asaph and his brethren.
8Give thanks unto the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people.
9Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye of all his wondrous works.
10Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.
11Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually.
12Remember his marvellous works that he hath done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;
13O ye seed of Israel his servant, ye children of Jacob, his chosen ones.
14He is the LORD our God; his judgments are in all the earth.
15Be ye mindful always of his covenant; the word which he commanded to a thousand generations;
16Even of the covenant which he made with Abraham, and of his oath unto Isaac;
17And hath confirmed the same to Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant,
18Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance;
19When ye were but few, even a few, and strangers in it.
20And when they went from nation to nation, and from one kingdom to another people;
21He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes,
22Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.
23Sing unto the LORD, all the earth; shew forth from day to day his salvation.
24Declare his glory among the heathen; his marvellous works among all nations.
25For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods.
26For all the gods of the people are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.
27Glory and honour are in his presence; strength and gladness are in his place.
28Give unto the LORD, ye kindreds of the people, give unto the LORD glory and strength.
29Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.
30Fear before him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that it be not moved.
31Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice: and let men say among the nations, The LORD reigneth.
32Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof: let the fields rejoice, and all that is therein.
33Then shall the trees of the wood sing out at the presence of the LORD, because he cometh to judge the earth.
34O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.
35And say ye, Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather us together, and deliver us from the heathen, that we may give thanks to thy holy name, and glory in thy praise.
36Blessed be the LORD God of Israel for ever and ever. And all the people said, Amen, and praised the LORD.
37So he left there before the ark of the covenant of the LORD Asaph and his brethren, to minister before the ark continually, as every day’s work required:
38And Obed-edom with their brethren, threescore and eight; Obed-edom also the son of Jeduthun and Hosah to be porters:
39And Zadok the priest, and his brethren the priests, before the tabernacle of the LORD in the high place that was at Gibeon,
40To offer burnt offerings unto the LORD upon the altar of the burnt offering continually morning and evening, and to do according to all that is written in the law of the LORD, which he commanded Israel;
41And with them Heman and Jeduthun, and the rest that were chosen, who were expressed by name, to give thanks to the LORD, because his mercy endureth for ever;
42And with them Heman and Jeduthun with trumpets and cymbals for those that should make a sound, and with musical instruments of God. And the sons of Jeduthun were porters.
43And all the people departed every man to his house: and David returned to bless his house.
World English Bible
1They brought in God’s ark, and set it in the middle of the tent that David had pitched for it; and they offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before God.
2When David had finished offering the burnt offering and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the LORD’s name.
3He gave to everyone of Israel, both man and woman, to everyone a loaf of bread, a portion of meat, and a cake of raisins.
4He appointed some of the Levites to minister before the LORD’s ark, and to commemorate, to thank, and to praise the LORD, the God of Israel:
5Asaph the chief, and second to him Zechariah, then Jeiel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, Obed-Edom, and Jeiel, with stringed instruments and with harps; and Asaph with cymbals, sounding aloud;
6with Benaiah and Jahaziel the priests with trumpets continually, before the ark of the covenant of God.
7Then on that day David first ordained giving of thanks to the LORD by the hand of Asaph and his brothers.
8Oh give thanks to the LORD. Call on his name. Make what he has done known among the peoples.
9Sing to him. Sing praises to him. Tell of all his marvelous works.
10Glory in his holy name. Let the heart of those who seek the LORD rejoice.
11Seek the LORD and his strength. Seek his face forever more.
12Remember his marvelous works that he has done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth,
13you offspring of Israel his servant, you children of Jacob, his chosen ones.
14He is the LORD our God. His judgments are in all the earth.
15Remember his covenant forever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations,
16the covenant which he made with Abraham, his oath to Isaac.
17He confirmed it to Jacob for a statute, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant,
18saying, “I will give you the land of Canaan, The lot of your inheritance,”
19when you were but a few men in number, yes, very few, and foreigners in it.

22“Don’t touch my anointed ones! Do my prophets no harm!”
23Sing to the LORD, all the earth! Display his salvation from day to day.

25For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised. He also is to be feared above all gods.

27Honor and majesty are before him. Strength and gladness are in his place.

29Ascribe to the LORD the glory due to his name. Bring an offering, and come before him. Worship the LORD in holy array.
30Tremble before him, all the earth. The world also is established that it can’t be moved.
31Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice! Let them say among the nations, “The LORD reigns!”
32Let the sea roar, and its fullness! Let the field exult, and all that is in it!
33Then the trees of the forest will sing for joy before the LORD, for he comes to judge the earth.
34Oh give thanks to the LORD, for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever.
35Say, “Save us, God of our salvation! Gather us together and deliver us from the nations, to give thanks to your holy name, to triumph in your praise.”
36Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting even to everlasting. All the people said, “Amen,” and praised the LORD.
37So he left Asaph and his brothers there before the ark of the LORD’s covenant, to minister before the ark continually, as every day’s work required;
38and Obed-Edom with their sixty-eight relatives; Obed-Edom also the son of Jeduthun and Hosah to be doorkeepers;
39and Zadok the priest and his brothers the priests, before the LORD’s tabernacle in the high place that was at Gibeon,
40to offer burnt offerings to the LORD on the altar of burnt offering continually morning and evening, even according to all that is written in the LORD’s law, which he commanded to Israel;
41and with them Heman and Jeduthun and the rest who were chosen, who were mentioned by name, to give thanks to the LORD, because his loving kindness endures forever;
42and with them Heman and Jeduthun with trumpets and cymbals for those that should sound aloud, and with instruments for the songs of God, and the sons of Jeduthun to be at the gate.
43All the people departed, each man to his house; and David returned to bless his house.
