Morando ya David en su palacio, dijo al profeta Natán: He aquí que yo habito en una casa de cedro; mientras el arca del Testamento del Señor está debajo de una cubierta de pieles.
Y ACONTECIÓ que morando David en su casa, dijo David al profeta Nathán: He aquí yo habito en casa de cedro, y el arca del pacto de Jehová debajo de cortinas.
Now it came to pass, as David sat in his house, that David said to Nathan the prophet, Lo, I dwell in an house of cedars, but the ark of the covenant of the LORD remaineth under curtains.
When David was living in his house, David said to Nathan the prophet, “Behold, I live in a cedar house, but the ark of the LORD’s covenant is in a tent.”
Respondió Natán a David: Haz todo cuanto te inspira tu corazón; porque Dios está contigo.
Y Nathán dijo á David: Haz todo lo que está en tu corazón, porque Dios es contigo.
Then Nathan said unto David, Do all that is in thine heart; for God is with thee.
Nathan said to David, “Do all that is in your heart; for God is with you.”
Mas aquella misma noche habló Dios a Natán, diciendo:
En aquella misma noche fué palabra de Dios á Nathán, diciendo:
And it came to pass the same night, that the word of God came to Nathan, saying,
That same night, the word of God came to Nathan, saying,
Ve y di a mi siervo David: Esto dice el Señor: No me edificarás tú la casa o el templo para mi habitación.
Ve y di á David mi siervo: Así ha dicho Jehová: Tú no me edificarás casa en que habite:
Go and tell David my servant, Thus saith the LORD, Thou shalt not build me an house to dwell in:
“Go and tell David my servant, ‘The LORD says, “You shall not build me a house to dwell in;
En verdad que yo no he tenido casa fija desde el tiempo en que saqué a Israel de Egipto hasta el día de hoy, sino que he andado siempre mudando el lugar de mi residencia, y alojándome debajo de una tienda
Porque no he habitado en casa alguna desde el día que saqué á los hijos de Israel hasta hoy; antes estuve de tienda en tienda, y de tabernáculo en tabernáculo.
For I have not dwelt in an house since the day that I brought up Israel unto this day; but have gone from tent to tent, and from one tabernacle to another.

como todo Israel, ¿por ventura, hablé yo jamás una palabra a ninguno de los jueces de Israel, a quienes encargué el gobierno de mi pueblo, diciéndoles: ¿Por qué no me habéis edificado una casa de cedro?
En todo cuanto anduve con todo Israel ¿hablé una palabra á alguno de los jueces de Israel, á los cuales mandé que apacentasen mi pueblo, para decirles: Por qué no me edificáis una casa de cedro?
Wheresoever I have walked with all Israel, spake I a word to any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my people, saying, Why have ye not built me an house of cedars?
In all places in which I have walked with all Israel, did I speak a word with any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to be shepherd of my people, saying, ‘Why have you not built me a house of cedar?’”’
Dirás, pues, ahora tú a mi siervo David: Mira lo que dice el Señor de los ejércitos: Yo te escogí, cuando tú apacentabas los rebaños, para que fueses caudillo del pueblo mío de Israel,
Por tanto, ahora dirás á mi siervo David: Así dijo Jehová de los ejércitos: Yo te tomé de la majada, de detrás del ganado, para que fueses príncipe sobre mi pueblo Israel;
Now therefore thus shalt thou say unto my servant David, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I took thee from the sheepcote, even from following the sheep, that thou shouldest be ruler over my people Israel:
“Now therefore, you shall tell my servant David, ‘The LORD of Armies says, “I took you from the sheep pen, from following the sheep, to be prince over my people Israel.
y contigo he andado en todas tus marchas y en tu presencia he derrotado a todos tus enemigos, y te he dado fama cual puede tenerla uno de los magnates que son famosos sobre la tierra.
Y he sido contigo en todo cuanto has andado, y he talado á todos tus enemigos de delante de ti, y hete hecho grande nombre, como el nombre de los grandes que son en la tierra.
And I have been with thee whithersoever thou hast walked, and have cut off all thine enemies from before thee, and have made thee a name like the name of the great men that are in the earth.
I have been with you wherever you have gone, and have cut off all your enemies from before you. I will make you a name like the name of the great ones who are in the earth.
He dado también habitación fija a mi pueblo de Israel, en la cual se arraigará y permanecerá, y de donde no será jamás removido, como me obedezca; ni los hijos de la iniquidad lo oprimirán como antes,
Asimismo he dispuesto lugar á mi pueblo Israel, y lo he plantado para que habite por sí, y que no sea más conmovido: ni los hijos de iniquidad lo consumirán más, como antes,
Also I will ordain a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, and they shall dwell in their place, and shall be moved no more; neither shall the children of wickedness waste them any more, as at the beginning,
I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in their own place, and be moved no more. The children of wickedness will not waste them any more, as at the first,
desde aquel tiempo que di jueces a mi pueblo de Israel, y humillé a todos tus enemigos. Te hago, pues, saber, que el Señor te ha de fundar a ti una casa estable.
Y desde el tiempo que puse los jueces sobre mi pueblo Israel; mas humillaré á todos tus enemigos. Hágote además saber que Jehová te ha de edificar casa.
And since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel. Moreover I will subdue all thine enemies. Furthermore I tell thee that the LORD will build thee an house.
and from the day that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel. I will subdue all your enemies. Moreover I tell you that the LORD will build you a house.
Y cumplidos que sean tus días, así que hayas ido a reunirte con tus padres, yo alzaré después de ti a uno de tu linaje, a uno de tus hijos, y le daré un reino estable.
Y será que, cuando tus días fueren cumplidos para irte con tus padres, levantaré tu simiente después de ti, la cual será de tus hijos, y afirmaré su reino.
And it shall come to pass, when thy days be expired that thou must go to be with thy fathers, that I will raise up thy seed after thee, which shall be of thy sons; and I will establish his kingdom.
It will happen, when your days are fulfilled that you must go to be with your fathers, that I will set up your offspring after you, who will be of your sons; and I will establish his kingdom.
Ese me edificará la casa y yo aseguraré su trono para siempre.
El me edificará casa, y yo confirmaré su trono eternalmente.
He shall build me an house, and I will stablish his throne for ever.

Yo le seré padre, y él me será hijo; y no apartaré de él mi misericordia, como la aparté de Saúl tu antecesor.

I will be his father, and he shall be my son: and I will not take my mercy away from him, as I took it from him that was before thee:
I will be his father, and he will be my son. I will not take my loving kindness away from him, as I took it from him who was before you;
Y le daré el gobierno de mi casa y de mi reino para siempre; y su trono será firme eternamente.
Mas yo lo confirmaré en mi casa y en mi reino eternalmente; y su trono será firme para siempre.
But I will settle him in mine house and in my kingdom for ever: and his throne shall be established for evermore.
but I will settle him in my house and in my kingdom forever. His throne will be established forever.”’”
Natán expuso a David todas estas palabras y toda esta visión.
Conforme á todas estas palabras, y conforme á toda esta visión, así habló Nathán á David.
According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak unto David.

Y habiendo entrado dentro del rey David, puesto en presencia del Señor, dijo: ¿Quién soy yo, oh Señor Dios, y qué es mi casa para que hayas hecho por mí tales cosas?
Y entró el rey David, y estuvo delante de Jehová, y dijo: Jehová Dios, ¿quién soy yo, y cuál es mi casa, que me has traído hasta este lugar?
And David the king came and sat before the LORD, and said, Who am I, O LORD God, and what is mine house, that thou hast brought me hitherto?
Then David the king went in and sat before the LORD; and he said, “Who am I, LORD God, and what is my house, that you have brought me this far?
Y aun esto ha parecido poco a tus ojos, que todavía has hablado sobre la casa de tu siervo, aun para los tiempos venideros, y me has hecho esclarecido sobre todos los hombres, oh Señor Dios mío.
Y aun esto, oh Dios, te ha parecido poco, pues que has hablado de la casa de tu siervo para más lejos, y me has mirado como á un hombre excelente, oh Jehová Dios.
And yet this was a small thing in thine eyes, O God; for thou hast also spoken of thy servant’s house for a great while to come, and hast regarded me according to the estate of a man of high degree, O LORD God.
This was a small thing in your eyes, O God, but you have spoken of your servant’s house for a great while to come, and have respected me according to the standard of a man of high degree, LORD God.
¿Qué más le queda desear a David, habiendo tú ensalzado tanto a tu siervo, y dándole tales muestras de aprobación?
¿Qué más puede añadir David pidiendo de ti para glorificar á tu siervo? mas tú conoces á tu siervo.
What can David speak more to thee for the honour of thy servant? for thou knowest thy servant.
What can David say yet more to you concerning the honor which is done to your servant? For you know your servant.
Oh Señor, por amor de tu siervo has obrado según tu beneplácito, con toda esta magnificencia, y has querido manifestarle todas sus grandezas.
Oh Jehová, por amor de tu siervo y según tu corazón, has hecho toda esta grandeza, para hacer notorias todas tus grandezas.
O LORD, for thy servant’s sake, and according to thine own heart, hast thou done all this greatness, in making known all these great things.
LORD, for your servant’s sake, and according to your own heart, you have done all this greatness, to make known all these great things.
Señor, no hay semejante a ti; ni hay otro Dios sino tú entre todos los que han llegado a nuestra noticia.
Jehová, no hay semejante á ti, ni hay Dios sino tú, según todas las cosas que hemos oído con nuestros oídos.
O LORD, there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.
LORD, there is no one like you, neither is there any God besides you, according to all that we have heard with our ears.
Porque, ¿hay otro pueblo como el tuyo de Israel, esta nación única sobre la tierra, a la cual vino Dios para libertarla y hacerla su pueblo, arrojando con su poder y a fuerza de prodigios espantosos las naciones todas delante de este pueblo, librado por él de la esclavitud de Egipto?
¿Y qué gente hay en la tierra como tu pueblo Israel, cuyo Dios fuese y se redimiera un pueblo, para hacerte nombre con grandezas y maravillas, echando las gentes de delante de tu pueblo, que tú rescataste de Egipto?
And what one nation in the earth is like thy people Israel, whom God went to redeem to be his own people, to make thee a name of greatness and terribleness, by driving out nations from before thy people, whom thou hast redeemed out of Egypt?
What one nation in the earth is like your people Israel, whom God went to redeem to himself for a people, to make you a name by great and awesome things, in driving out nations from before your people whom you redeemed out of Egypt?
Y estableciste por pueblo tuyo para siempre a tu pueblo de Israel; y tú Señor, has venido a ser su Dios.
Tú has constituído á tu pueblo Israel por pueblo tuyo para siempre; y tú, Jehová, has venido á ser su Dios.
For thy people Israel didst thou make thine own people for ever; and thou, LORD, becamest their God.
For you made your people Israel your own people forever; and you, LORD, became their God.
Ahora, pues, oh Señor, confirmada para siempre la promesa que has hecho a tu siervo, y en orden a su casa, haz lo que tienes dicho,
Ahora pues, Jehová, la palabra que has hablado acerca de tu siervo y de su casa, sea firme para siempre, y haz como has dicho.
Therefore now, LORD, let the thing that thou hast spoken concerning thy servant and concerning his house be established for ever, and do as thou hast said.
Now, LORD, let the word that you have spoken concerning your servant, and concerning his house, be established forever, and do as you have spoken.
y llévese a efecto en Israel; a fin de que sea eternamente ensalzado tu Nombre, y se diga siempre: El Señor de los ejércitos es el Dios de Israel, y la casa de su siervo David permanece estable delante de él.
Permanezca pues, y sea engrandecido tu nombre para siempre, á fin de que se diga: Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel, es Dios para Israel. Y sea la casa de tu siervo David firme delante de ti.
Let it even be established, that thy name may be magnified for ever, saying, The LORD of hosts is the God of Israel, even a God to Israel: and let the house of David thy servant be established before thee.
Let your name be established and magnified forever, saying, ‘The LORD of Armies is the God of Israel, even a God to Israel. The house of David your servant is established before you.’
Puesto que tú, Señor Dios mío, revelaste al oído de tu siervo que quieres fundarle una casa, y por eso tu siervo se atreve a presentar delante de ti esta súplica.
Porque tú, Dios mío, revelaste al oído á tu siervo que le has de edificar casa; por eso ha hallado tu siervo motivo de orar delante de ti.
For thou, O my God, hast told thy servant that thou wilt build him an house: therefore thy servant hath found in his heart to pray before thee.
For you, my God, have revealed to your servant that you will build him a house. Therefore your servant has found courage to pray before you.
Ahora, pues, oh Señor, tú eres Dios infalible, y tú has prometido a tu siervo tan grandes favores,
Ahora pues, Jehová, tú eres el Dios que has hablado de tu siervo este bien;
And now, LORD, thou art God, and hast promised this goodness unto thy servant:
Now, LORD, you are God, and have promised this good thing to your servant.
y has comenzado a bendecir la casa de tu siervo, a fin de que ella subsista siempre delante de ti; porque bendiciéndola tú, oh Señor, será perpetuamente bendita.
Y ahora has querido bendecir la casa de tu siervo, para que permanezca perpetuamente delante de ti: porque tú, Jehová, la has bendecido, y será bendita para siempre.
Now therefore let it please thee to bless the house of thy servant, that it may be before thee for ever: for thou blessest, O LORD, and it shall be blessed for ever.
Now it has pleased you to bless the house of your servant, that it may continue forever before you; for you, LORD, have blessed, and it is blessed forever.”
