Luego, David instaló guarniciones militares en el territorio sirio de Damasco, y los sirios se convirtieron en sus siervos y le pagaron tributo. El Señor le daba la victoria a David a dondequiera que iba.

Y puso David guarnición en Siria la de Damasco, y los Siros fueron hechos siervos de David, trayéndole presentes: porque Jehová salvaba á David donde quiera que iba.

Then David put garrisons in Syria-damascus; and the Syrians became David’s servants, and brought gifts. Thus the LORD preserved David whithersoever he went.

Then David put garrisons in Syria of Damascus; and the Syrians became servants to David and brought tribute. The LORD gave victory to David wherever he went.
