Poi Davide pose guernigioni nella Siria Damascena; ed i Siri divennero soggetti di Davide, pagando tributo. E il Signore salvava Davide dovunque egli andava.

Y puso David guarnición en Siria la de Damasco, y los Siros fueron hechos siervos de David, trayéndole presentes: porque Jehová salvaba á David donde quiera que iba.

Then David put garrisons in Syria-damascus; and the Syrians became David’s servants, and brought gifts. Thus the LORD preserved David whithersoever he went.
