Cuando Joab vio que sus fuerzas estaban en posición contra él delante y detrás de él, tomó a los mejores hombres de Israel y los puso en fila contra los arameos;

Y viendo Joab que la haz de la batalla estaba contra él delante y á las espaldas, escogió de todos los más aventajados que había en Israel, y ordenó su escuadrón contra los Siros.

Now when Joab saw that the battle was set against him before and behind, he chose out of all the choice of Israel, and put them in array against the Syrians.
