Les Syriens s'enfuirent devant Israël ; David leur tua sept mille hommes montés sur des chars, et quarante mille piétons ; Sophath, le général en chef, périt.

Mas el Siro huyó delante de Israel; y mató David de los Siros siete mil hombres de los carros, y cuarenta mil hombres de á pie: asimismo mató á Sophach, general del ejército.

But the Syrians fled before Israel; and David slew of the Syrians seven thousand men which fought in chariots, and forty thousand footmen, and killed Shophach the captain of the host.
