O povo amonita saiu e se posicionou para a batalha no portão da cidade, enquanto os reis que vieram, estavam sozinhos no campo.

Y los hijos de Ammón salieron, y ordenaron su tropa á la entrada de la ciudad; y los reyes que habían venido, estaban por sí en el campo.
