And David said, I will shew kindness unto Hanun the son of Nahash, because his father shewed kindness to me. And David sent messengers to comfort him concerning his father. So the servants of David came into the land of the children of Ammon to Hanun, to comfort him.

sprachen die Fürsten der Kinder Ammon zu Hanon: Meinest du, daß David deinen Vater ehre vor deinen Augen, daß er Trosterzu dirgesandt hat? Ja, seine Knechte sind kommen zu dir, zu forschen und umzukehren und zu verkundschaften das Land.
Los príncipes de los hijos de Ammón dijeron á Hanán: ¿A tu parecer honra David á tu padre, que te ha enviado consoladores? ¿no vienen antes sus siervos á ti para escudriñar, é inquirir, y reconocer la tierra?
