En el transcurso de otra guerra contra los filisteos, Eljanán hijo de Yaír, mató a Lajmí, hermano del gigante Goliat, el de Gat, cuya lanza tenía una punta del tamaño de un rodillo de telar.

Y volvióse á levantar guerra con los Filisteos; é hirió Elhanán hijo de Jair á Lahmi, hermano de Goliath Getheo, el asta de cuya lanza era como un enjullo de tejedores.

And there was war again with the Philistines; and Elhanan the son of Jair slew Lahmi the brother of Goliath the Gittite, whose spear staff was like a weaver’s beam.
