Davi mandou chamar todos os estrangeiros que moravam em Israel e disse a eles que preparassem blocos quadrados de pedra lavradas para a construção do templo de Deus.
Después mandó David que se juntasen los extranjeros que estaban en la tierra de Israel, y señaló de ellos canteros que labrasen piedras para edificar la casa de Dios.
And David commanded to gather together the strangers that were in the land of Israel; and he set masons to hew wrought stones to build the house of God.

Ele também providenciou uma grande quantidade de ferro para a produção de pregos e dobradiças para as portas, e tanto bronze que nem podiam pesar.
Asimismo aparejó David mucho hierro para la clavazón de las puertas, y para las junturas; y mucho metal sin peso, y madera de cedro sin cuenta.
And David prepared iron in abundance for the nails for the doors of the gates, and for the joinings; and brass in abundance without weight;

Os homens de Sidom e de Tiro trouxeram a Davi incontável quantidade de madeira de cedro.
Porque los Sidonios y Tirios habían traído á David madera de cedro innumerable.
Also cedar trees in abundance: for the Zidonians and they of Tyre brought much cedar wood to David.

“Meu filho Salomão ainda é muito jovem e sem experiência”, dizia Davi, “e o templo do Senhor deve ser extraordinariamente maravilhoso, cheio de esplendor e famoso no mundo todo. Por isso vou deixar tudo preparado para a construção”. Assim Davi ajuntou todos os materiais de construção antes de morrer.
Y dijo David: Salomón mi hijo es muchacho y tierno, y la casa que se ha de edificar á Jehová ha de ser magnífica por excelencia, para nombre y honra en todas las tierras; ahora pues yo le aparejaré lo necesario. Y preparó David antes de su muerte en grande abundancia.
And David said, Solomon my son is young and tender, and the house that is to be builded for the LORD must be exceeding magnifical, of fame and of glory throughout all countries: I will therefore now make preparation for it. So David prepared abundantly before his death.

Então chamou o seu filho Salomão e deu ordens a ele para construir um templo para o Senhor, o Deus de Israel,
Llamó entonces David á Salomón su hijo, y mandóle que edificase casa á Jehová Dios de Israel.

Y dijo David á Salomón: Hijo mío, en mi corazón tuve el edificar templo al nombre de Jehová mi Dios.
And David said to Solomon, My son, as for me, it was in my mind to build an house unto the name of the LORD my God:
David said to Solomon his son, “As for me, it was in my heart to build a house to the name of the LORD my God.
mas o Senhor me disse: ‘Você matou muita gente em muitas guerras. Você derramou muito sangue na terra, perante mim. Por isso você não construirá um templo em honra ao meu nome.
Mas vino á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo: Tú has derramado mucha sangre, y has traído grandes guerras: no edificarás casa á mi nombre, porque has derramado mucha sangre en la tierra delante de mí:
But the word of the LORD came to me, saying, Thou hast shed blood abundantly, and hast made great wars: thou shalt not build an house unto my name, because thou hast shed much blood upon the earth in my sight.
But the LORD’s word came to me, saying, ‘You have shed blood abundantly and have made great wars. You shall not build a house to my name, because you have shed much blood on the earth in my sight.
Mas darei a você um filho que será um homem de paz. Eu darei a ele paz com os seus inimigos das terras vizinhas. O nome dele será Salomão, e darei paz e tranquilidade a Israel durante o tempo que ele reinar.
He aquí, un hijo te nacerá, el cual será varón de reposo, porque yo le daré quietud de todos sus enemigos en derredor; por tanto su nombre será Salomón; y yo daré paz y reposo sobre Israel en sus días:
Behold, a son shall be born to thee, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies round about: for his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness unto Israel in his days.

Ele construirá uma casa ao meu nome. Ele será como meu próprio filho e eu serei o pai dele; e eu farei que os filhos dele, os netos e bisnetos reinem para sempre em Israel’.
El edificará casa á mi nombre, y él me será á mí por hijo, y yo le seré por padre; y afirmaré el trono de su reino sobre Israel para siempre.
He shall build an house for my name; and he shall be my son, and I will be his father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel for ever.

“Agora, pois, meu filho, que o Senhor seja com você, para que você possa construir o templo do Senhor, o seu Deus, como ele disse a seu respeito.
Ahora pues, hijo mío, sea contigo Jehová, y seas prosperado, y edifiques casa á Jehová tu Dios, como él ha dicho de ti.
Now, my son, the LORD be with thee; and prosper thou, and build the house of the LORD thy God, as he hath said of thee.

Que o Senhor dê a você sabedoria e entendimento para seguir as leis do Senhor, o seu Deus, quando ele fizer de você o rei de Israel.
Y Jehová te dé entendimiento y prudencia, y él te dé mandamientos para Israel; y que tú guardes la ley de Jehová tu Dios.
Only the LORD give thee wisdom and understanding, and give thee charge concerning Israel, that thou mayest keep the law of the LORD thy God.
May the LORD give you discretion and understanding, and put you in charge of Israel, so that you may keep the law of the LORD your God.
Pois se você obedecer com todo o cuidado às regras e às leis que o Senhor deu a Israel por meio de Moisés, você prosperará. Seja forte e corajoso! Não tenha medo nem desanime!
Entonces serás prosperado, si cuidares de poner por obra los estatutos y derechos que Jehová mandó á Moisés para Israel. Esfuérzate pues, y cobra ánimo; no temas, ni desmayes.
Then shalt thou prosper, if thou takest heed to fulfil the statutes and judgments which the LORD charged Moses with concerning Israel: be strong, and of good courage; dread not, nor be dismayed.
Then you will prosper, if you observe to do the statutes and the ordinances which the LORD gave Moses concerning Israel. Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid and don’t be dismayed.
“Com muito esforço consegui ajuntar para a casa do Senhor três mil e quinhentas toneladas de ouro e trinta e cinco mil toneladas de prata, e tanto bronze e ferro que nem cheguei a pesar, além da madeira e pedra para as paredes. E você pode ir ajuntando mais.
He aquí, yo en mi estrechez he prevenido para la casa de Jehová cien mil talentos de oro, y un millar de millares de talentos de plata: no tiene peso el metal ni el hierro, porque es mucho. Asimismo he aprestado madera y piedra, á lo cual tú añadirás.
Now, behold, in my trouble I have prepared for the house of the LORD an hundred thousand talents of gold, and a thousand thousand talents of silver; and of brass and iron without weight; for it is in abundance: timber also and stone have I prepared; and thou mayest add thereto.

Você tem muitos homens que sabem preparar as pedras — pedreiros e bons carpinteiros — bem como gente que faz todo tipo de trabalho.
Tú tienes contigo muchos oficiales, canteros, albañiles, y carpinteros, y todo hombre experto en toda obra.
Moreover there are workmen with thee in abundance, hewers and workers of stone and timber, and all manner of cunning men for every manner of work.
There are also workmen with you in abundance—cutters and workers of stone and timber, and all kinds of men who are skillful in every kind of work;
São homens que trabalham muito bem em ouro e prata, em bronze e ferro. Por isso, faça o trabalho, e que o Senhor esteja com você!”
Del oro, de la plata, del metal, y del hierro, no hay número. Levántate pues, y á la obra; que Jehová será contigo.
Of the gold, the silver, and the brass, and the iron, there is no number. Arise therefore, and be doing, and the LORD be with thee.

Então Davi deu ordens a todos os líderes de Israel para ajudarem seu filho Salomão nessa construção.
Asimismo mandó David á todos los principales de Israel que diesen ayuda á Salomón su hijo, diciendo:
David also commanded all the princes of Israel to help Solomon his son, saying,

Ele disse: “O Senhor, o seu Deus, tem estado com vocês. Ele deu a paz a vocês, pois ele entregou todos os povos em minhas mãos, e a terra foi submetida ao Senhor e ao seu povo.
¿No es con vosotros Jehová vuestro Dios, el cual os ha dado quietud de todas partes? porque él ha entregado en mi mano los moradores de la tierra, y la tierra ha sido sujetada delante de Jehová, y delante de su pueblo.
Is not the LORD your God with you? and hath he not given you rest on every side? for he hath given the inhabitants of the land into mine hand; and the land is subdued before the LORD, and before his people.
“Isn’t the LORD your God with you? Hasn’t he given you rest on every side? For he has delivered the inhabitants of the land into my hand; and the land is subdued before the LORD and before his people.
Agora consagrem o coração e a alma de vocês para buscarem o Senhor, o seu Deus. Comecem a construir o santuário do Senhor Deus, para que a arca da aliança do Senhor e os outros objetos sagrados que pertencem a Deus sejam trazidos para a casa que será construída para honrar o seu nome”.
Poned, pues, ahora vuestros corazones y vuestros ánimos en buscar á Jehová vuestro Dios; y levantaos, y edificad el santuario del Dios Jehová, para traer el arca del pacto de Jehová, y lo santos vasos de Dios, á la casa edificada al nombre de Jehová.
Now set your heart and your soul to seek the LORD your God; arise therefore, and build ye the sanctuary of the LORD God, to bring the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and the holy vessels of God, into the house that is to be built to the name of the LORD.
