Os levitas não precisarão mais carregar o Tabernáculo nem os utensílios usados para seu serviço".

O dever deles era auxiliar os descendentes de Arão no serviço da Casa de Yahweh. Eles cuidavam dos pátios, dos aposentos, da purificação cerimonial de todas as coisas pertencentes a Yahweh, e outras obras a serviço da casa de Deus.

Eles estavam no comando da Tenda do Encontro, o Santo Lugar, e ajudavam seus companheiros, descendentes de Arão, no serviço da Casa de Yahweh.
Y para que tuviesen la guarda del tabernáculo del testimonio, y la guarda del santuario, y las órdenes de los hijos de Aarón sus hermanos, en el ministerio de la casa de Jehová.
And that they should keep the charge of the tabernacle of the congregation, and the charge of the holy place, and the charge of the sons of Aaron their brethren, in the service of the house of the LORD.
