Los cantores eran nombrados para su turno particular de servicios mediante sorteo, sin considerar la edad o reputación.

Y echaron suertes para los turnos del servicio, entrando el pequeño con el grande, lo mismo el maestro que el discípulo.

And they cast lots, ward against ward, as well the small as the great, the teacher as the scholar.
