Gesur e Arã tomaram as cidades de Jair e Quenate, assim como também os sessenta povoados ao redor. Todos esses habitantes eram descendentes de Maquir, pai de Gileade.

Y Gesur y Aram tomaron las ciudades de Jair de ellos, y á Cenath con sus aldeas, sesenta lugares. Todos estos fueron de los hijos de Machîr padre de Galaad.

And he took Geshur, and Aram, with the towns of Jair, from them, with Kenath, and the towns thereof, even threescore cities. All these belonged to the sons of Machir the father of Gilead.
