Los hijos de Esdras fueron: Jéter, Méred, Éfer y Jalón. Méred contrajo matrimonio con una princesa egipcia llamada Bitiá. Esta fue la madre de Miriam, Samay e Isba, antepasado de Estemoa.

Y los hijos de Ezra: Jeter, Mered, Epher, y Jalón: también engendró á Mariam, y Sammai, y á Isba, padre de Esthemoa.

And the sons of Ezra were, Jether, and Mered, and Epher, and Jalon: and she bare Miriam, and Shammai, and Ishbah the father of Eshtemoa.

The sons of Ezrah: Jether, Mered, Epher, and Jalon; and Mered’s wife bore Miriam, Shammai, and Ishbah the father of Eshtemoa.
