Y Reaia, hijo de Sobal, era el padre de Jahat; y Jahath fue el padre de Ahumai y Lahad. Estas son las familias de los zoratitas.

Y Jabes hizo una oración al Dios de Israel, diciendo: Si tan solo me dieras una bendición, y ampliaras los límites de mi territorio, y que tu mano esté conmigo, y me guarde del mal, para que no me dañe! Y Dios le dio su deseo.

E invocó Jabes al Dios de Israel, diciendo: ¡Oh si me dieras bendición, y ensancharas mi término, y si tu mano fuera conmigo, y me libraras de mal, que no me dañe! E hizo Dios que le viniese lo que pidió.

And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.

Y tuvo también una esposa, una mujer de la tribu de Judá, se convirtió en la madre de Jered, el padre de Gedor, y Heber, el padre de Soco, y Jecutiel, el padre de Zanoa.

Y su mujer Judaía le parió á Jered padre de Gedor, y á Heber padre de Sochô, y á Icuthiel padre de Zanoa. Estos fueron los hijos de Bethia hija de Faraón, con la cual casó Mered.

And his wife Jehudijah bare Jered the father of Gedor, and Heber the father of Socho, and Jekuthiel the father of Zanoah. And these are the sons of Bithiah the daughter of Pharaoh, which Mered took.
