1Los hijos de Rubén, el primogénito de Israel. (Aunque era el primogénito, su primogenitura fue entregada a los hijos de José hijo de Israel porque había profanado el lecho de su padre. Por eso Rubén no figura en la genealogía según la primogenitura,
2y aunque Judá llegó a ser el más fuerte de sus hermanos y de él salió un gobernante, la primogenitura le pertenecía a José).
3Los hijos de Rubén el primogénito de Israel: Hanoc, Falú, Hezrón y Carmi.
4Los hijos de Joel: Semaías su hijo, Gog su hijo, Simei su hijo,
5Miqueas su hijo, Reaías su hijo, Baal su hijo,
6y Beera su hijo, el que Tiglat-Pileser el rey de Asiria llevó al exilio. Él (Beera) era un líder de los rubenitas.
7Los parientes de Beera son, según sus registros genealógicos: por familia Jeiel (el jefe de familia), Zacarías,
8y Bela de Azaz, hijo de Sema, hijo de Joel. Ellos habitaban en la zona que iba desde Aroer hasta Nebo y Baal Meón.
9Por el lado oriental se extendieron por la tierra hasta el borde del desierto que continúa hasta el río Éufrates, porque sus rebaños habían crecido mucho en Galaad.
10En los tiempos de Saúl fueron a la guerra contra los agarenos, y los derrotaron. Se apoderaron de los lugares donde habían vivido los agarenos en todas las regiones al este de Galaad.
11Junto a ellos, los descendientes de Gad vivían en Basa, hasta Salca.
12Joel (el jefe de familia), Safam (el segundo), y Janai y Safat, en Basán.
13Sus parientes, según la familia, eran: Miguel, Mesulán, Sabá, Jorai, Jacán, Zía y Éber, siendo un total de siete.
14Estos fueron Los hijos de Abihail, hijo de Huri, hijo de Jaroa, hijo de Galaad, hijo de Miguel, hijo de Jesisai, hijo de Jahdo, hijo de Buz.
15Ahi hijo de Abdiel, hijo de Guni, era su jefe de familia.
16Vivían en Galaad, en Basán y sus ciudades, y en los pastizales de Sarón hasta sus fronteras.
17Todos ellos fueron registrados en la genealogía durante el tiempo de Jotam, rey de Judá, y de Jeroboam, rey de Israel.
18La tribu de Rubén, la tribu de Gad y la media tribu de Manasés tenían 44.760 guerreros fuertes y listos para la batalla, capaces de usar escudos, espadas y arcos.
19Fueron a la guerra contra los agarenos, los jetureos, los nafiseos y los nodabitas.
20Recibieron ayuda en la lucha contra estos enemigos porque invocaron a Dios durante las batallas. Así pudieron derrotar a los agarenos y a todos los que estaban con ellos. Dios respondió a sus oraciones porque confiaron en él.
21Capturaron el ganado de sus enemigos: cincuenta mil camellos, doscientas cincuenta mil ovejas y dos mil asnos. También capturaron a cien mil personas,
22y muchas otras murieron porque la batalla era de Dios. Se apoderaron de la tierra y vivieron allí hasta el exilio.
23La media tribu de Manasés había crecido mucho. Vivían en la tierra desde Basán hasta Baal Hermón, (también conocida como Senir y Monte Hermón).
24Estos eran los jefes de familia: Efer, Isi, Eliel, Azriel, Jeremías, Hodavías y Jahdiel. Eran fuertes guerreros, hombres famosos, jefes de sus familias.
25Pero fueron infieles al Dios de sus antepasados. Se prostituyeron siguiendo a los dioses de los pueblos de la tierra, los que Dios había destruido antes que ellos.
26Así que el Dios de Israel animó a Pul, rey de Asiria, (también conocido como Tiglat-Pileser, rey de Asiria), para que invadiera la tierra. Llevó al exilio a los rubenitas, a los gaditas y a la media tribu de Manasés. Los llevó a Halah, a Habor, a Hara y al río de Gozán, donde permanecen hasta el día de hoy.

1Y LOS hijos de Rubén, primogénito de Israel, (porque él era el primogénito, mas como violó el lecho de su padre, sus derechos de primogenitura fueron dados á los hijos de José, hijo de Israel; y no fué contado por primogénito.
2Porque Judá fué el mayorazgo sobre sus hermanos, y el príncipe de ellos: mas el derecho de primogenitura fué de José.)
3Fueron pues los hijos de Rubén, primogénito de Israel: Enoch, Phallu, Esrón y Charmi.
4Los hijos de Joel: Semaías su hijo, Gog su hijo, Simi su hijo;
5Michâ su hijo, Recaía su hijo, Baal su hijo;
6Beera su hijo, el cual fué trasportado por Thiglath-pilneser rey de los Asirios. Este era principal de los Rubenitas.
7Y sus hermanos por sus familias, cuando eran contados en sus descendencias, tenían por príncipes á Jeiel y á Zachârías.
8Y Bela hijo de Azaz, hijo de Sema, hijo de Joel, habitó en Aroer hasta Nebo y Baal-meón.
9Habitó también desde el oriente hasta la entrada del desierto desde el río Eufrates: porque tenía muchos ganados en la tierra de Galaad.
10Y en los días de Saúl trajeron guerra contra los Agarenos, los cuales cayeron en su mano; y ellos habitaron en sus tiendas sobre toda la haz oriental de Galaad.
11Y los hijos de Gad habitaron enfrente de ellos en la tierra de Basán hasta Salca.
12Y Joel fué el principal en Basán, el segundo Sephán, luego Janai, después Saphat.
13Y sus hermanos, según las familias de sus padres, fueron Michâel, Mesullam, Seba, Jorai, Jachân, Zia, y Heber; en todos siete.
14Estos fueron los hijos de Abihail hijo de Huri, hijo de Jaroa, hijo de Galaad, hijo de Michâel, hijo de Jesiaí, hijo de Jaddo, hijo de Buz.
15También Ahí, hijo de Abdiel, hijo de Guni, fué principal en la casa de sus padres.
16Los cuales habitaron en Galaad, en Basán, y en sus aldeas, y en todos los ejidos de Sarón hasta salir de ellos.
17Todos estos fueron contados por sus generaciones en días de Jothán rey de Judá, y en días de Jeroboam rey de Israel.
18Los hijos de Rubén, y de Gad, y la media tribu de Manasés, hombres valientes, hombres que traían escudo y espada, que entesaban arco, y diestros en guerra, eran cuarenta y cuatro mil setecientos y sesenta que salían á batalla.
19Y tuvieron guerra con los Agarenos, y Jethur, y Naphis, y Nodab.
20Y fueron ayudados contra ellos, y los Agarenos se dieron en sus manos, y todos los que con ellos estaban; porque clamaron á Dios en la guerra, y fuéles favorable, porque esperaron en él.
21Y tomaron sus ganados, cincuenta mil camellos, y doscientas cincuenta mil ovejas, dos mil asnos, y cien mil personas.
22Y cayeron muchos heridos, porque la guerra era de Dios; y habitaron en sus lugares hasta la transmigración.
23Y los hijos de la media tribu de Manasés habitaron en la tierra, desde Basán hasta Baal-Hermón, y Senir y el monte de Hermón, multiplicados en gran manera.
24Y estas fueron las cabezas de las casas de sus padres: Epher, Isi, y Eliel, Azriel, y Jeremías, y Odavia, y Jadiel, hombres valientes y de esfuerzo, varones de nombre y cabeceras de las casas de sus padres.
25Mas se rebelaron contra el Dios de sus padres, y fornicaron siguiendo los dioses de los pueblos de la tierra, á los cuales había Jehová quitado de delante de ellos.
26Por lo cual el Dios de Israel excitó el espíritu de Phul rey de los Asirios, y el espíritu de Thiglath-pilneser rey de los Asirios, el cual trasportó á los Rubenitas y Gaditas y á la media tribu de Manasés, y llevólos á Halad, y á Habor y á Ara, y al río de Gozán, hasta hoy.

1Now the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel, (for he was the firstborn; but, forasmuch as he defiled his father’s bed, his birthright was given unto the sons of Joseph the son of Israel: and the genealogy is not to be reckoned after the birthright.
2For Judah prevailed above his brethren, and of him came the chief ruler; but the birthright was Joseph’s:)
3The sons, I say, of Reuben the firstborn of Israel were, Hanoch, and Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi.
4The sons of Joel; Shemaiah his son, Gog his son, Shimei his son,
5Micah his son, Reaia his son, Baal his son,
6Beerah his son, whom Tilgath-pilneser king of Assyria carried away captive: he was prince of the Reubenites.
7And his brethren by their families, when the genealogy of their generations was reckoned, were the chief, Jeiel, and Zechariah,
8And Bela the son of Azaz, the son of Shema, the son of Joel, who dwelt in Aroer, even unto Nebo and Baal-meon:
9And eastward he inhabited unto the entering in of the wilderness from the river Euphrates: because their cattle were multiplied in the land of Gilead.
10And in the days of Saul they made war with the Hagarites, who fell by their hand: and they dwelt in their tents throughout all the east land of Gilead.
11And the children of Gad dwelt over against them, in the land of Bashan unto Salchah:
12Joel the chief, and Shapham the next, and Jaanai, and Shaphat in Bashan.
13And their brethren of the house of their fathers were, Michael, and Meshullam, and Sheba, and Jorai, and Jachan, and Zia, and Heber, seven.
14These are the children of Abihail the son of Huri, the son of Jaroah, the son of Gilead, the son of Michael, the son of Jeshishai, the son of Jahdo, the son of Buz;
15Ahi the son of Abdiel, the son of Guni, chief of the house of their fathers.
16And they dwelt in Gilead in Bashan, and in her towns, and in all the suburbs of Sharon, upon their borders.
17All these were reckoned by genealogies in the days of Jotham king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam king of Israel.
18The sons of Reuben, and the Gadites, and half the tribe of Manasseh, of valiant men, men able to bear buckler and sword, and to shoot with bow, and skilful in war, were four and forty thousand seven hundred and threescore, that went out to the war.
19And they made war with the Hagarites, with Jetur, and Nephish, and Nodab.
20And they were helped against them, and the Hagarites were delivered into their hand, and all that were with them: for they cried to God in the battle, and he was intreated of them; because they put their trust in him.
21And they took away their cattle; of their camels fifty thousand, and of sheep two hundred and fifty thousand, and of asses two thousand, and of men an hundred thousand.
22For there fell down many slain, because the war was of God. And they dwelt in their steads until the captivity.
23And the children of the half tribe of Manasseh dwelt in the land: they increased from Bashan unto Baal-hermon and Senir, and unto mount Hermon.
24And these were the heads of the house of their fathers, even Epher, and Ishi, and Eliel, and Azriel, and Jeremiah, and Hodaviah, and Jahdiel, mighty men of valour, famous men, and heads of the house of their fathers.
25And they transgressed against the God of their fathers, and went a whoring after the gods of the people of the land, whom God destroyed before them.
26And the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul king of Assyria, and the spirit of Tilgath-pilneser king of Assyria, and he carried them away, even the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh, and brought them unto Halah, and Habor, and Hara, and to the river Gozan, unto this day.

14These were the sons of Abihail, the son of Huri, the son of Jaroah, the son of Gilead, the son of Michael, the son of Jeshishai, the son of Jahdo, the son of Buz;

19They made war with the Hagrites, with Jetur, and Naphish, and Nodab.
20They were helped against them, and the Hagrites were delivered into their hand, and all who were with them; for they cried to God in the battle, and he answered them because they put their trust in him.
21They took away their livestock: of their camels fifty thousand, and of sheep two hundred fifty thousand, and of donkeys two thousand, and of men one hundred thousand.
22For many fell slain, because the war was of God. They lived in their place until the captivity.
23The children of the half-tribe of Manasseh lived in the land. They increased from Bashan to Baal Hermon, Senir, and Mount Hermon.
24These were the heads of their fathers’ houses: Epher, Ishi, Eliel, Azriel, Jeremiah, Hodaviah, and Jahdiel—mighty men of valor, famous men, heads of their fathers’ houses.
25They trespassed against the God of their fathers, and played the prostitute after the gods of the peoples of the land whom God destroyed before them.
26So the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul king of Assyria, and the spirit of Tilgath Pilneser king of Assyria, and he carried away the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh, and brought them to Halah, Habor, Hara, and to the river of Gozan, to this day.
