und blieben auch über Nacht rings um das Gotteshaus her, weil ihnen die Bewachung oblag und sie das Aufschließen zu besorgen hatten, und zwar Morgen für Morgen.

Estos moraban alrededor de la casa de Dios, porque tenían cargo de la guardia, y el de abrir aquélla todas las mañanas.

And they lodged round about the house of God, because the charge was upon them, and the opening thereof every morning pertained to them.

They stayed around God’s house, because that was their duty; and it was their duty to open it morning by morning.
