1El árbol genealógico al cual pertenecía cada israelita, está registrado cuidadosamente en el libro de los reyes de Israel. Los que regresaron a Jerusalén Los habitantes de Judá, debido a su infidelidad a Dios, fueron llevados cautivos a Babilonia.
2Los primeros en regresar y establecer otra vez su hogar en los pueblos en que antes vivían, fueron familias de las tribus de Israel, como también los sacerdotes, los levitas, y los ayudantes del templo.
3Posteriormente llegaron a Jerusalén algunas familias de las tribus de Judá, Benjamín, Efraín, y Manasés.
4De los descendientes de Judá, regresaron: Utay hijo de Amiud, hijo de Omrí, hijo de Imrí, hijo de Baní, del clan de Fares hijo de Judá.
5De los descendientes de los silonitas, Asaías, hijo mayor de Silón, y sus hijos.
6De los zeraítas regresaron Jeuel y sus parientes, seiscientas noventa personas en total.
7Entre los integrantes de la tribu de Benjamín que regresaron, estaban los siguientes: Salú hijo de Mesulán, hijo de Hodavías, hijo de Senuá; Ibneías hijo de Jeroán; Elá hijo de Uzi, hijo de Micri; y Mesulán hijo de Sefatías, hijo de Reuel, hijo de Ibnías.

9Todos estos eran jefes de núcleos familiares. El grupo que regresó fue de novecientos cincuenta y seis miembros de la tribu de Benjamín.
10Los sacerdotes que regresaron fueron: Jedaías, Joyarib, Jaquín, Azarías hijo de Jilquías, hijo de Mesulán, hijo de Sadoc, hijo de Merayot, hijo de Ajitob. Este último fue el jefe de la guardia del templo de Dios.

12Otros que regresaron, fueron: Adaías hijo de Jeroán, hijo de Pasur, hijo de Malquías; Masay hijo de Adiel, hijo de Jazera, hijo de Mesulán, hijo de Mesilemit, hijo de Imer.
13En total regresaron mil setecientos sesenta sacerdotes.
14Entre los levitas que regresaron estaban: Semaías hijo de Jasub, hijo de Azricán, hijo de Jasabías, el cual era descendiente de Merari; Bacbacar, Heres, Galal, Matanías hijo de Micaías, hijo de Zicrí, hijo de Asaf; Abdías hijo de Semaías, hijo de Galal, hijo de Jedutún; y Berequías hijo de Asá, hijo de Elcaná, que vivía en la región de los netofatitas.

17Los porteros fueron: Salún (jefe de los porteros), Acub, Talmón, Ajimán y sus parientes. Todavía tienen la responsabilidad de la puerta del este, correspondiente al palacio real.

19Los antepasados de Salún fueron Coré, Ebiasaf y Coré. Salún y sus parientes, que son los coreítas, estaban a cargo de los sacrificios y de la protección de la Tienda de reunión, tal como sus antepasados habían ejercido la vigilancia del santuario del Señor.
20Finés hijo de Eleazar, fue el primer director de esta organización en tiempos antiguos, y el Señor estaba con él.
21En ese tiempo, Zacarías hijo de Meselemías, era responsable de la protección de la entrada de la Tienda de reunión.
22En aquellos días había doscientos doce porteros, y fueron seleccionados en sus propios pueblos, sobre la base de sus genealogías. Sus nombramientos los hacía David, junto con Samuel, considerando los que eran dignos de confianza.
23Tanto ellos como sus descendientes estaban a cargo del santuario del Señor.
24Eran designados para cada uno de los cuatro puntos cardinales: este, oeste, norte y sur.
25Y los parientes que vivían en los pueblos venían para ayudarlos por siete días. Así que cada siete días se cambiaban los grupos.
26Los grupos de cuatro porteros, todos levitas, tenían un puesto de gran responsabilidad, por cuanto tenían a su cargo los aposentos y los tesoros del santuario de Dios.
27A causa de la importancia del cargo que desempeñaban, vivían cerca del santuario, y abrían sus puertas todas las mañanas.
28Algunos tenían la responsabilidad de cuidar las diversas vasijas que se usaban en el sacrificio y la adoración; las tenían que contar cuando las sacaban y al volverlas a guardar, para evitar pérdidas.
29Otros eran responsables del mobiliario, los utensilios del santuario, y materiales, tales como harina fina, vino, incienso y especias.
30Otros sacerdotes preparaban las especias y el incienso.
31Matatías (uno de los levitas, e hijo mayor de Salún, coreíta) tenía a su cargo la tarea de hacer tortillas para el sacrificio de cereales.
32Algunos de los integrantes del clan de Coat tenían a su cargo la preparación de los panes especiales para los días de reposo.
33Los cantores eran todos levitas prominentes. Vivían en Jerusalén y estaban en el desempeño de su labor a toda hora. Estaban exentos de otras responsabilidades, y la selección de ellos se practicaba tomando en consideración sus genealogías.

35Jehiel, padre de Gabaón, vivía en Gabaón. Su esposa fue Macá; tuvo muchos hijos, entre los cuales se contaban los siguientes: Abdón (el primogénito), Zur, Quis, Baal, Ner, Nadab, Guedor, Ajío, Zacarías y Miclot.

38Miclot fue el padre de Simán. Todos ellos vivían en Jerusalén, junto con sus parientes.
39Ner fue el padre de Quis; Quis fue el padre de Saúl, y Saúl fue el padre de Jonatán, Malquisúa, Abinadab y Esbaal.
40Jonatán fue el padre de Meribaal; y Meribaal fue el padre de Micaías.
41Micaías fue el padre de Pitón, Mélec, Tarea y Acaz.
42Acaz fue el padre de Jará; Jará fue el padre de Alemet, Azmávet y Zimri. Zimri fue el padre de Mosá,
43Mosá fue el padre de Biná; Biná fue el padre de Refaías; Refaías fue el padre de Elasá, y Elasá fue el padre de Azel.
44Azel tuvo seis hijos: Azricán, Bocrú, Ismael, Searías, Abdías y Janán.

1Y CONTADO todo Israel por el orden de los linajes, fueron escritos en el libro de los reyes de Israel y de Judá, que fueron trasportados á Babilonia por su rebelión.
2Los primeros moradores que entraron en sus posesiones en sus ciudades, fueron así de Israel, como de los sacerdotes, Levitas, y Nethineos.
3Y habitaron en Jerusalem de los hijos de Judá, de los hijos de Benjamín, de los hijos de Ephraim y Manasés:
4Urai hijo de Amiud, hijo de Omri, hijo de Imrai, hijo de Bani, de los hijos de Phares hijo de Judá.
5Y de Siloni, Asaías el primogénito, y sus hijos.

9Y sus hermanos por sus linajes fueron nuevecientos cincuenta y seis. Todos estos hombres fueron cabezas de familia en las casas de sus padres.
10Y de los sacerdotes: Jedaía, Joiarib, Joachîm;
11Y Azarías hijo de Hilcías, hijo de Mesullam, hijo de Sadoc, hijo de Meraioth, hijo de Achîtob, príncipe de la casa de Dios;

13Y sus hermanos, cabezas de las casas de sus padres, en número de mil setecientos sesenta, hombres de grande eficacia en la obra del ministerio en la casa de Dios.
14Y de los Levitas: Semeías, hijo de Hassub, hijo de Azricam, hijo de Hasabías, de los hijos de Merari;

17Y los porteros: Sallum, Accub, Talmon, Ahiman, y sus hermanos. Sallum era el jefe.
18Y hasta ahora entre las cuadrillas de los hijos de Leví han sido estos los porteros en la puerta del rey que está al oriente.
19Y Sallum hijo de Core, hijo de Abiasath, hijo de Corah, y sus hermanos los Coraitas por la casa de su padre, tuvieron cargo de la obra del ministerio, guardando las puertas del tabernáculo; y sus padres fueron sobre la cuadrilla de Jehová guardas de la entrada.
20Y Phinees hijo de Eleazar fué antes capitán sobre ellos, siendo Jehová con él.
21Y Zacarías hijo de Meselemia era portero de la puerta del tabernáculo del testimonio.
22Todos estos, escogidos para guardas en las puertas, eran doscientos doce cuando fueron contados por el orden de sus linajes en sus villas, á los cuales constituyó en su oficio David y Samuel el vidente.
23Así ellos y sus hijos eran porteros por sus turnos á las puertas de la casa de Jehová, y de la casa del tabernáculo.
24Y estaban los porteros á los cuatro vientos, al oriente, al occidente, al septentrión, y al mediodía.
25Y sus hermanos que estaban en sus aldeas, venían cada siete días por sus tiempos con ellos.
26Porque cuatro principales de los porteros Levitas estaban en el oficio, y tenían cargo de las cámaras, y de los tesoros de la casa de Dios.
27Estos moraban alrededor de la casa de Dios, porque tenían cargo de la guardia, y el de abrir aquélla todas las mañanas.
28Algunos de estos tenían cargo de los vasos del ministerio, los cuales se metían por cuenta, y por cuenta se sacaban.
29Y otros de ellos tenían cargo de la vajilla, y de todos los vasos del santuario, y de la harina, y del vino, y del aceite, y del incienso, y de los aromas.
30Y algunos de los hijos de los sacerdotes hacían los ungüentos aromáticos.
31Y Mathathías, uno de los Levitas, primogénito de Sallum Coraita, tenía cargo de las cosas que se hacían en sartén.
32Y algunos de los hijos de Coath, y de sus hermanos, tenían el cargo de los panes de la proposición, los cuales ponían por orden cada sábado.
33Y de estos había cantores, principales de familias de los Levitas, los cuales estaban en sus cámaras exentos; porque de día y de noche estaban en aquella obra.
34Estos eran jefes de familias de los Levitas por sus linajes, jefes que habitaban en Jerusalem.
35Y en Gabaón habitaban Jehiel padre de Gabaón, el nombre de cuya mujer era Maachâ;
36Y su hijo primogénito Abdón, luego Sur, Chîs, Baal, Ner, Nadab;
37Gedor, Ahio, Zachârías, y Micloth.
38Y Micloth engendró á Samaán. Y estos habitaban también en Jerusalem con sus hermanos enfrente de ellos.
39Y Ner engendró á Cis, y Cis engendró á Saúl, y Saúl engendró á Jonathán, Malchîsua, Abinadab, y Esbaal.
40E hijo de Jonathán fué Merib-baal, y Merib-baal engendró á Michâ.
41Y los hijos de Michâ: Phitón, Melech, Tharea, y Ahaz.
42Ahaz engendró á Jara, y Jara engendró á Alemeth, Azmaveth, y Zimri: y Zimri engendró á Mosa;
43Y Mosa engendró á Bina, cuyo hijo fué Rephaía, del que fué hijo Elasa, cuyo hijo fué Asel.
44Y Asel tuvo seis hijos, los nombres de los cuales son: Azricam, Bochru, Ismael, Seraía, Obadías, y Hanán: estos fueron los hijos de Asel.

1So all Israel were reckoned by genealogies; and, behold, they were written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah, who were carried away to Babylon for their transgression.
2Now the first inhabitants that dwelt in their possessions in their cities were, the Israelites, the priests, Levites, and the Nethinims.
3And in Jerusalem dwelt of the children of Judah, and of the children of Benjamin, and of the children of Ephraim, and Manasseh;
4Uthai the son of Ammihud, the son of Omri, the son of Imri, the son of Bani, of the children of Pharez the son of Judah.
5And of the Shilonites; Asaiah the firstborn, and his sons.

20And Phinehas the son of Eleazar was the ruler over them in time past, and the LORD was with him.
21And Zechariah the son of Meshelemiah was porter of the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
22All these which were chosen to be porters in the gates were two hundred and twelve. These were reckoned by their genealogy in their villages, whom David and Samuel the seer did ordain in their set office.
23So they and their children had the oversight of the gates of the house of the LORD, namely, the house of the tabernacle, by wards.
24In four quarters were the porters, toward the east, west, north, and south.
25And their brethren, which were in their villages, were to come after seven days from time to time with them.
26For these Levites, the four chief porters, were in their set office, and were over the chambers and treasuries of the house of God.
27And they lodged round about the house of God, because the charge was upon them, and the opening thereof every morning pertained to them.
28And certain of them had the charge of the ministering vessels, that they should bring them in and out by tale.
29Some of them also were appointed to oversee the vessels, and all the instruments of the sanctuary, and the fine flour, and the wine, and the oil, and the frankincense, and the spices.
30And some of the sons of the priests made the ointment of the spices.
31And Mattithiah, one of the Levites, who was the firstborn of Shallum the Korahite, had the set office over the things that were made in the pans.
32And other of their brethren, of the sons of the Kohathites, were over the shewbread, to prepare it every sabbath.
33And these are the singers, chief of the fathers of the Levites, who remaining in the chambers were free: for they were employed in that work day and night.
34These chief fathers of the Levites were chief throughout their generations; these dwelt at Jerusalem.
35And in Gibeon dwelt the father of Gibeon, Jehiel, whose wife’s name was Maachah:
36And his firstborn son Abdon, then Zur, and Kish, and Baal, and Ner, and Nadab,
37And Gedor, and Ahio, and Zechariah, and Mikloth.
38And Mikloth begat Shimeam. And they also dwelt with their brethren at Jerusalem, over against their brethren.

40And the son of Jonathan was Merib-baal: and Merib-baal begat Micah.

1So all Israel were listed by genealogies; and behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel. Judah was carried away captive to Babylon for their disobedience.
2Now the first inhabitants who lived in their possessions in their cities were Israel, the priests, the Levites, and the temple servants.
3In Jerusalem, there lived of the children of Judah, of the children of Benjamin, and of the children of Ephraim and Manasseh:
4Uthai the son of Ammihud, the son of Omri, the son of Imri, the son of Bani, of the children of Perez the son of Judah.
5Of the Shilonites: Asaiah the firstborn and his sons.
6Of the sons of Zerah: Jeuel and their brothers, six hundred ninety.
7Of the sons of Benjamin: Sallu the son of Meshullam, the son of Hodaviah, the son of Hassenuah;

20Phinehas the son of Eleazar was ruler over them in time past, and the LORD was with him.
21Zechariah the son of Meshelemiah was gatekeeper of the door of the Tent of Meeting.
22All these who were chosen to be gatekeepers in the thresholds were two hundred twelve. These were listed by genealogy in their villages, whom David and Samuel the seer ordained in their office of trust.
23So they and their children had the oversight of the gates of the LORD’s house, even the house of the tent, as guards.
24On the four sides were the gatekeepers, toward the east, west, north, and south.
25Their brothers, in their villages, were to come in every seven days from time to time to be with them,
26for the four chief gatekeepers, who were Levites, were in an office of trust, and were over the rooms and over the treasuries in God’s house.
27They stayed around God’s house, because that was their duty; and it was their duty to open it morning by morning.
28Certain of them were in charge of the vessels of service, for these were brought in by count, and these were taken out by count.
29Some of them also were appointed over the furniture, and over all the vessels of the sanctuary, over the fine flour, the wine, the oil, the frankincense, and the spices.
30Some of the sons of the priests prepared the mixing of the spices.
31Mattithiah, one of the Levites, who was the firstborn of Shallum the Korahite, had the office of trust over the things that were baked in pans.
32Some of their brothers, of the sons of the Kohathites, were over the show bread, to prepare it every Sabbath.
33These are the singers, heads of fathers’ households of the Levites, who lived in the rooms and were free from other service, for they were employed in their work day and night.

40The son of Jonathan was Merib-baal. Merib-baal became the father of Micah.
41The sons of Micah: Pithon, Melech, Tahrea, and Ahaz.
42Ahaz became the father of Jarah. Jarah became the father of Alemeth, Azmaveth, and Zimri. Zimri became the father of Moza.
43Moza became the father of Binea, Rephaiah his son, Eleasah his son, and Azel his son.
44Azel had six sons, whose names are Azrikam, Bocheru, Ishmael, Sheariah, Obadiah, and Hanan. These were the sons of Azel.
