1 Corintios 10

Mas no quiero, hermanos, que ignoréis, que nuestros Padres todos estuvieron debajo de la nube, y todos pasaron por la mar;

Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;

And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

Mas de muchos de ellos no se agradó Dios; porque fueron derribados en el desierto.

Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.

Ni forniquemos, como algunos de ellos fornicaron, y cayeron en un día veinte y tres mil:

Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.

Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.

Let’s not test Christ, as some of them tested, and perished by the serpents.

Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.

Mas todas estas cosas les acontecieron por tipos, y son escritas para nuestra amonestación, sobre quien los fines de los siglos han llegado.

Y estas cosas les acontecieron en figura; y son escritas para nuestra admonición, en quienes los fines de los siglos han parado.

Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

Así que el que se piensa estar firme, mire no caiga.

Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

No os ha tomado alguna tentación, fuera de las que son comunes a los hombres; mas fiel es Dios, que no os dejará ser tentados más de lo que podéis; antes dará también salida con la tentación, para que la podáis llevar.

No os ha tomado tentación, sino humana: mas fiel es Dios, que no os dejará ser tentados más de lo que podéis llevar; antes dará también juntamente con la tentación la salida, para que podáis aguantar.

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

¶ Por lo cual, amados míos, huid de la idolatría.

Por tanto, amados míos, huid de la idolatría.

Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.

Como a sabios hablo, juzgád vosotros lo que digo.

La copa de bendición la cual bendecimos, ¿no es la comunión de la sangre de Cristo? el pan que rompemos, ¿no es la comunión del cuerpo de Cristo?

La copa de bendición que bendecimos, ¿no es la comunión de la sangre de Cristo? El pan que partimos, ¿no es la comunión del cuerpo de Cristo?

The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?

Porque siendo muchos, somos un solo pan, y un solo cuerpo; porque todos participamos de aquel mismo pan.

Porque un pan, es que muchos somos un cuerpo; pues todos participamos de aquel un pan.

For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.

Because there is one loaf of bread, we, who are many, are one body; for we all partake of the one loaf of bread.

Mirád a Israel según la carne. Los que comen los sacrificios, ¿no son participantes del altar?

Mirad á Israel según la carne: los que comen de los sacrificios ¿no son partícipes con el altar?

Behold Israel after the flesh: are not they which eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar?

Consider Israel according to the flesh. Don’t those who eat the sacrifices participate in the altar?

¿Pues qué digo? ¿Qué el ídolo es algo? ¿o que lo que es sacrificado a los ídolos es algo?

¿Qué pues digo? ¿Que el ídolo es algo? ¿ó que sea algo lo que es sacrificado á los ídolos?

What say I then? that the idol is any thing, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing?

What am I saying then? That a thing sacrificed to idols is anything, or that an idol is anything?

Antes, digo que lo que los Gentiles sacrifican, a los demonios lo sacrifican, y no a Dios; y no querría que vosotros fueseis partícipes con los demonios.

Antes digo que lo que los Gentiles sacrifican, á los demonios lo sacrifican, y no á Dios: y no querría que vosotros fueseis partícipes con los demonios.

But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.

But I say that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons and not to God, and I don’t desire that you would have fellowship with demons.

No podéis beber la copa del Señor, y la copa de los demonios: no podéis ser partícipes de la mesa del Señor, y de la mesa de los demonios.

Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of devils.

You can’t both drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You can’t both partake of the table of the Lord and of the table of demons.

¿Provocamos a zelos al Señor? ¿Somos acaso más fuertes que él?

¿O provocaremos á celo al Señor? ¿Somos más fuertes que él?

Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he?

Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than he?

¶ Todo me es lícito, mas no todo me conviene: todo me es lícito, mas no todo edifica.

All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.

“All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are profitable. “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things build up.

Ninguno busque lo que es suyo propio; mas cada uno lo que es del otro.

Ninguno busque su propio bien, sino el del otro.

Let no man seek his own, but every man another’s wealth.

Let no one seek his own, but each one his neighbor’s good.

De todo lo que se vende en la carnicería, coméd sin preguntar nada por causa de la conciencia.

De todo lo que se vende en la carnicería, comed, sin preguntar nada por causa de la conciencia;

Whatsoever is sold in the shambles, that eat, asking no question for conscience sake:

Whatever is sold in the butcher shop, eat, asking no question for the sake of conscience,

Porque del Señor es la tierra, y la plenitud de ella.

Porque del Señor es la tierra y lo que la hinche.

For the earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof.

for “the earth is the Lord’s, and its fullness.”

Si alguno de los que no creen os convida, y queréis ir, de todo lo que se os pone delante, coméd, sin preguntar nada por causa de la conciencia.

Y si algún infiel os llama, y queréis ir, de todo lo que se os pone delante comed, sin preguntar nada por causa de la conciencia.

If any of them that believe not bid you to a feast, and ye be disposed to go; whatsoever is set before you, eat, asking no question for conscience sake.

But if one of those who don’t believe invites you to a meal, and you are inclined to go, eat whatever is set before you, asking no questions for the sake of conscience.

Mas si alguien os dijere: Esto fue sacrificado a los ídolos: no lo comáis por causa de aquel que os lo declaró, y por causa de la conciencia; porque del Señor es la tierra, y la plenitud de ella.

Mas si alguien os dijere: Esto fué sacrificado á los ídolos: no lo comáis, por causa de aquel que lo declaró, y por causa de la conciencia: porque del Señor es la tierra y lo que la hinche.

But if any man say unto you, This is offered in sacrifice unto idols, eat not for his sake that shewed it, and for conscience sake: for the earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof:

But if anyone says to you, “This was offered to idols,” don’t eat it for the sake of the one who told you, and for the sake of conscience. For “the earth is the Lord’s, with all its fullness.”

Conciencia digo, no la tuya, sino la del otro. ¿Pues por qué ha de ser juzgada mi libertad por conciencia de otro?

La conciencia, digo, no tuya, sino del otro. Pues ¿por qué ha de ser juzgada mi libertad por otra conciencia?

Conscience, I say, not thine own, but of the other: for why is my liberty judged of another man’s conscience?

Conscience, I say, not your own, but the other’s conscience. For why is my liberty judged by another conscience?

Y si yo por gracia participo, ¿por qué se ha de hablar mal de mí por lo que doy gracias?

Y si yo con agradecimiento participo, ¿por qué he de ser blasfemado por lo que doy gracias?

For if I by grace be a partaker, why am I evil spoken of for that for which I give thanks?

If I partake with thankfulness, why am I denounced for something I give thanks for?

Si pues coméis, o si bebéis, o hacéis otra cosa, hacédlo todo a gloria de Dios.

Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

Sed sin ofensa a Judíos, y a Griegos, y a la iglesia de Dios:

Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:

Give no occasion for stumbling, whether to Jews, to Greeks, or to the assembly of God;

Como también yo en todas las cosas agrado a todos: no buscando mi mismo provecho, sino el de muchos, para que ellos sean salvos.

Como también yo en todas las cosas complazco á todos, no procurando mi propio beneficio, sino el de muchos, para que sean salvos.

Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.
