1Sede meus imitadores, assim como eu também sou de Cristo.
2Eu vos louvo, irmãos, de que em tudo vos lembrais de mim, e retendes minhas ordens, assim como eu vos entreguei.
3Mas quero que saibais, que a cabeça de todo homem é Cristo; e a cabeça da mulher é o homem; e a cabeça de Cristo é Deus.
4Todo homem que ora ou profetiza, tendo alguma coisa sobre a cabeça, desonra sua própria cabeça.
5Mas toda mulher que ora ou profetiza com a cabeça descoberta, desonra sua própria cabeça; porque é o mesmo que se a tivesse raspada.
6Porque se a mulher não se cobre, raspe-se também; mas se para a mulher é vergonhoso se cortar ou se raspar, que se cubra.
7Porque o homem não deve cobrir a cabeça, pois é a imagem e a glória de Deus; mas a mulher é a glória do homem.
8Porque o homem não provem da mulher, mas sim a mulher do homem.
9Porque também o homem não foi criado por causa da mulher, mas a mulher foi criada por causa do homem.
10Portanto a mulher deve ter sobre a cabeça sinal de autoridade, por causa dos anjos.
11Porém, nem o homem é sem a mulher, nem a mulher sem o homem, no Senhor.
12Porque assim como a mulher vem do homem, assim também é o homem pela mulher; porém tudo vem de Deus.
13Julgai-vos entre vós mesmos: é decente que a mulher ore a Deus descoberta?
14Ou não vos ensina a mesma natureza, que ter cabelo longo é desonra para o homem?
15Mas a mulher ter cabelo longo, lhe é honra, porque os cabelos lhe são dados por cobertura?
16Porém se alguém parece ser inclinado a disputas, nós não temos tal costume, nem as igrejas de Deus.
17Mas isto eu vos declaro, que não vos louvo, porque vós vos ajuntais, não para melhor, mas para pior.
18Porque, em primeiro lugar, eu ouço que, quando vos ajuntais, há divisões entre vós; e em parte eu acredito.
19Porque é necessário que haja diferenças de opinião entre vós, para que os que são aprovados sejam evidenciados entre vós.
20Quando, pois, vós vos reunis, não é para comer da ceia do Senhor;
21Porque cada um, comendo antes, toma sua própria ceia; e um fica com fome, e outro fica bêbado.
22Por acaso não tendes casas para comer e para beber? Ou desprezais a Igreja de Deus, e envergonhais os que não têm? Que vos direi? Eu vos elogiarei? Nisto eu não vos elogio.
23Porque eu recebi do Senhor o que também vos entreguei; que o Senhor Jesus, na noite em que foi traído, tomou o pão;
24E tendo dado graças, o partiu, e disse: Tomai, comei; isto é o meu corpo, que é partido por vós; fazei isto em memória de mim.
25Semelhantemente também, depois de cear, tomou o copo, dizendo: Este copo é o novo Testamento em meu sangue. Fazei isto todas as vezes que o beberdes, em memória de mim.
26Porque todas as vezes que comerdes deste pão, e beberdes deste copo, anunciai a morte do Senhor, até que ele venha.
27Portanto quem comer deste pão, ou beber deste copo do Senhor indignamente, será culpado do corpo e do sangue do Senhor.
28Portanto examine-se cada um a si mesmo, e assim coma deste pão, e beba deste copo.
29Porque quem come e bebe indignamente, para si mesmo come e bebe condenação, não discernindo o corpo do Senhor.
30Por esta causa há entre vós muitos fracos e doentes, e muitos que dormem.
31Porque se nós julgássemos a nós mesmos, não seríamos julgados.
32Mas quando somos julgados, somos repreendidos pelo Senhor; para que não sejamos condenados com o mundo.
33Portanto, meus irmãos, quando vos ajuntardes para comer, esperai uns aos outros.
34Porém se alguém tiver fome, coma em casa; para que não vos ajunteis para sofrerdes julgamento. Quanto às demais coisas, as ordenarei quando vier.

1SED imitadores de mí, así como yo de Cristo.
2Y os alabo, hermanos, que en todo os acordáis de mí, y retenéis las instrucciones mías, de la manera que os enseñé.
3Mas quiero que sepáis, que Cristo es la cabeza de todo varón; y el varón es la cabeza de la mujer; y Dios la cabeza de Cristo.
4Todo varón que ora ó profetiza cubierta la cabeza, afrenta su cabeza.
5Mas toda mujer que ora ó profetiza no cubierta su cabeza, afrenta su cabeza; porque lo mismo es que si se rayese.
6Porque si la mujer no se cubre, trasquílese también: y si es deshonesto á la mujer trasquilarse ó raerse, cúbrase.
7Porque el varón no ha de cubrir la cabeza, porque es imagen y gloria de Dios: mas la mujer es gloria del varón.
8Porque el varón no es de la mujer, sino la mujer del varón.
9Porque tampoco el varón fué criado por causa de la mujer, sino la mujer por causa del varón.
10Por lo cual, la mujer debe tener señal de potestad sobre su cabeza, por causa de los ángeles.
11Mas ni el varón sin la mujer, ni la mujer sin el varón, en el Señor.
12Porque como la mujer es del varón, así también el varón es por la mujer: empero todo de Dios.
13Juzgad vosotros mismos: ¿es honesto orar la mujer á Dios no cubierta?
14La misma naturaleza ¿no os enseña que al hombre sea deshonesto criar cabello?
15Por el contrario, á la mujer criar el cabello le es honroso; porque en lugar de velo le es dado el cabello.
16Con todo eso, si alguno parece ser contencioso, nosotros no tenemos tal costumbre, ni las iglesias de Dios.
17Esto empero os denuncio, que no alabo, que no por mejor sino por peor os juntáis.
18Porque lo primero, cuando os juntáis en la iglesia, oigo que hay entre vosotros disensiones; y en parte lo creo.
19Porque preciso es que haya entre vosotros aun herejías, para que los que son probados se manifiesten entre vosotros.
20Cuando pues os juntáis en uno, esto no es comer la cena del Señor:
21Porque cada uno toma antes para comer su propia cena; y el uno tiene hambre, y el otro está embriagado.
22Pues qué, ¿no tenéis casas en que comáis y bebáis? ¿ó menospreciáis la iglesia de Dios, y avergonzáis á los que no tienen? ¿Qué os diré? ¿os alabaré? En esto no os alabo.
23Porque yo recibí del Señor lo que también os he enseñado: Que el Señor Jesús, la noche que fué entregado, tomó pan;
24Y habiendo dado gracias, lo partió, y dijo: Tomad, comed: esto es mi cuerpo que por vosotros es partido: haced esto en memoria de mí.
25Asimismo tomó también la copa, después de haber cenado, diciendo: Esta copa es el nuevo pacto en mi sangre: haced esto todas las veces que bebiereis, en memoria de mí.
26Porque todas las veces que comiereis este pan, y bebiereis esta copa, la muerte del Señor anunciáis hasta que venga.
27De manera que, cualquiera que comiere este pan ó bebiere esta copa del Señor indignamente, será culpado del cuerpo y de la sangre del Señor.
28Por tanto, pruébese cada uno á sí mismo, y coma así de aquel pan, y beba de aquella copa.
29Porque el que come y bebe indignamente, juicio come y bebe para sí, no discerniendo el cuerpo del Señor.
30Por lo cual hay muchos enfermos y debilitados entre vosotros; y muchos duermen.
31Que si nos examinásemos á nosotros mismos, cierto no seríamos juzgados.
32Mas siendo juzgados, somos castigados del Señor, para que no seamos condenados con el mundo.
33Así, que, hermanos míos, cuando os juntáis á comer, esperaos unos á otros.
34Si alguno tuviere hambre, coma en su casa, porque no os juntéis para juicio. Las demás cosas ordenaré cuando llegare.

1Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.
2Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you.
3But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.
4Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head.
5But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.
6For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.
7For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.
8For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man.
9Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.
10For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.
11Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.
12For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God.
13Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered?
14Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?
15But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.
16But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.
17Now in this that I declare unto you I praise you not, that ye come together not for the better, but for the worse.
18For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it.
19For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you.
20When ye come together therefore into one place, this is not to eat the Lord’s supper.
21For in eating every one taketh before other his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is drunken.
22What? have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or despise ye the church of God, and shame them that have not? What shall I say to you? shall I praise you in this? I praise you not.
23For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:
24And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
25After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.
26For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come.
27Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.
28But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.
29For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body.
30For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.
31For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
32But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.
33Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, tarry one for another.
34And if any man hunger, let him eat at home; that ye come not together unto condemnation. And the rest will I set in order when I come.

1Be imitators of me, even as I also am of Christ.
2Now I praise you, brothers, that you remember me in all things, and hold firm the traditions, even as I delivered them to you.
3But I would have you know that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.
4Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonors his head.
5But every woman praying or prophesying with her head uncovered dishonors her head. For it is one and the same thing as if she were shaved.
6For if a woman is not covered, let her hair also be cut off. But if it is shameful for a woman to have her hair cut off or be shaved, let her be covered.
7For a man indeed ought not to have his head covered, because he is the image and glory of God, but the woman is the glory of the man.
8For man is not from woman, but woman from man;
9for man wasn’t created for the woman, but woman for the man.
10For this cause the woman ought to have authority over her own head, because of the angels.
11Nevertheless, neither is the woman independent of the man, nor the man independent of the woman, in the Lord.
12For as woman came from man, so a man also comes through a woman; but all things are from God.
13Judge for yourselves. Is it appropriate that a woman pray to God unveiled?
14Doesn’t even nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a dishonor to him?
15But if a woman has long hair, it is a glory to her, for her hair is given to her for a covering.
16But if any man seems to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither do God’s assemblies.
17But in giving you this command I don’t praise you, because you come together not for the better but for the worse.
18For first of all, when you come together in the assembly, I hear that divisions exist among you, and I partly believe it.
19For there also must be factions among you, that those who are approved may be revealed among you.
20When therefore you assemble yourselves together, it is not the Lord’s supper that you eat.
21For in your eating each one takes his own supper first. One is hungry, and another is drunken.
22What, don’t you have houses to eat and to drink in? Or do you despise God’s assembly and put them to shame who don’t have enough? What shall I tell you? Shall I praise you? In this I don’t praise you.
23For I received from the Lord that which also I delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night in which he was betrayed took bread.
24When he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “Take, eat. This is my body, which is broken for you. Do this in memory of me.”
25In the same way he also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink, in memory of me.”
26For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.
27Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks the Lord’s cup in a way unworthy of the Lord will be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord.
28But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup.
29For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy way eats and drinks judgment to himself if he doesn’t discern the Lord’s body.
30For this cause many among you are weak and sickly, and not a few sleep.
31For if we discerned ourselves, we wouldn’t be judged.
32But when we are judged, we are disciplined by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world.
33Therefore, my brothers, when you come together to eat, wait for one another.
34But if anyone is hungry, let him eat at home, lest your coming together be for judgment. The rest I will set in order whenever I come.
