Estou muito contente, amados irmãos, porque vocês têm-se lembrado de mim e têm feito tudo quanto eu lhes ensinei.
Y os alabo, hermanos, que en todo os acordáis de mí, y retenéis las instrucciones mías, de la manera que os enseñé.
Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you.

Entretanto, há um assunto acerca do qual quero lembrá-los: Que Cristo tem autoridade sobre todo o marido, que o marido tem autoridade sobre a esposa e que Deus tem autoridade sobre Cristo.
Mas quiero que sepáis, que Cristo es la cabeza de todo varón; y el varón es la cabeza de la mujer; y Dios la cabeza de Cristo.
But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

Se um homem recusar-se a descobrir a sua cabeça enquanto está orando ou profetizando, desrespeita a sua cabeça.
Todo varón que ora ó profetiza cubierta la cabeza, afrenta su cabeza.
Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head.
Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonors his head.
Se uma mulher que ora ou profetiza publicamente sem que sua cabeça esteja coberta, desrespeita a sua cabeça. Nesse caso, não há diferença entre ela e a mulher que está com a cabeça rapada.
Mas toda mujer que ora ó profetiza no cubierta su cabeza, afrenta su cabeza; porque lo mismo es que si se rayese.
But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.
But every woman praying or prophesying with her head uncovered dishonors her head. For it is one and the same thing as if she were shaved.
Se ela se recusa a cobrir a cabeça, neste caso ela também deve rapar o cabelo. E se é vergonhoso para uma mulher ter a cabeça rapada, então deve cobri-la.
Porque si la mujer no se cubre, trasquílese también: y si es deshonesto á la mujer trasquilarse ó raerse, cúbrase.
For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.
For if a woman is not covered, let her hair also be cut off. But if it is shameful for a woman to have her hair cut off or be shaved, let her be covered.
Um homem, porém, não deve cobrir a cabeça, porque ele é a imagem e glória de Deus, e a glória do homem é a mulher.
Porque el varón no ha de cubrir la cabeza, porque es imagen y gloria de Dios: mas la mujer es gloria del varón.
For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.

O homem não veio da mulher, e sim a mulher veio do homem.
Porque el varón no es de la mujer, sino la mujer del varón.

Assim, por causa dos anjos, uma mulher deve cobrir a cabeça como sinal de que está sob autoridade.
Por lo cual, la mujer debe tener señal de potestad sobre su cabeza, por causa de los ángeles.
For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.
For this cause the woman ought to have authority over her own head, because of the angels.
Lembrem-se, porém, que no plano do Senhor o homem e a mulher precisam um do outro. Eles não são independentes.
Mas ni el varón sin la mujer, ni la mujer sin el varón, en el Señor.
Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.
Nevertheless, neither is the woman independent of the man, nor the man independent of the woman, in the Lord.
Pois assim como a mulher veio do homem, também o homem nasce da mulher, e tanto os homens como as mulheres vêm de Deus, seu Criador.
Porque como la mujer es del varón, así también el varón es por la mujer: empero todo de Dios.
For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God.
For as woman came from man, so a man also comes through a woman; but all things are from God.
Julguem entre vocês mesmos: Está certo uma mulher orar em público sem cobrir a cabeça?
Juzgad vosotros mismos: ¿es honesto orar la mujer á Dios no cubierta?
Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered?
Judge for yourselves. Is it appropriate that a woman pray to God unveiled?
O próprio instinto não nos ensina que é uma desonra para o homem ter o cabelo comprido?
La misma naturaleza ¿no os enseña que al hombre sea deshonesto criar cabello?
Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?
Doesn’t even nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a dishonor to him?
Mas as mulheres sentem orgulho do seu cabelo comprido. Pois o cabelo comprido lhe foi dado como véu.
Por el contrario, á la mujer criar el cabello le es honroso; porque en lugar de velo le es dado el cabello.
But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.
But if a woman has long hair, it is a glory to her, for her hair is given to her for a covering.
Entretanto, se alguém deseja questionar a esse respeito, tudo o que posso dizer é que nunca ensinamos mais do que isso a esse respeito. E todas as igrejas de Deus pensam da mesma maneira.
Con todo eso, si alguno parece ser contencioso, nosotros no tenemos tal costumbre, ni las iglesias de Dios.
But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.
But if any man seems to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither do God’s assemblies.
A seguir, vem outra coisa com que não posso concordar. Parece que quando vocês se reúnem para os cultos de comunhão, eles fazem mais mal do que bem.
Esto empero os denuncio, que no alabo, que no por mejor sino por peor os juntáis.
Now in this that I declare unto you I praise you not, that ye come together not for the better, but for the worse.
But in giving you this command I don’t praise you, because you come together not for the better but for the worse.
Tenho ouvido da discussão que ocorre durante as suas reuniões, e das divisões que surgem entre vocês, e eu posso realmente crer nisso.
Porque lo primero, cuando os juntáis en la iglesia, oigo que hay entre vosotros disensiones; y en parte lo creo.
For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it.
For first of all, when you come together in the assembly, I hear that divisions exist among you, and I partly believe it.
Mas suponho que isso seja necessário, para que sejam conhecidos quais dentre vocês são aprovados por Deus!
Porque preciso es que haya entre vosotros aun herejías, para que los que son probados se manifiesten entre vosotros.
For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you.
For there also must be factions among you, that those who are approved may be revealed among you.
Quando vocês se reúnem para comer, não é a Ceia do Senhor que estão comendo,
Cuando pues os juntáis en uno, esto no es comer la cena del Señor:
When ye come together therefore into one place, this is not to eat the Lord’s supper.
When therefore you assemble yourselves together, it is not the Lord’s supper that you eat.
mas sim a ceia de vocês mesmos, sem esperar para repartir com os outros, de tal maneira que um não consegue obter o suficiente e sai com fome, enquanto o outro fica embriagado.
Porque cada uno toma antes para comer su propia cena; y el uno tiene hambre, y el otro está embriagado.
For in eating every one taketh before other his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is drunken.
For in your eating each one takes his own supper first. One is hungry, and another is drunken.
Isso realmente é verdade? Vocês não podem comer e beber em casa, para evitar desmoralização para a igreja de Deus e para não humilhar aqueles que são pobres e não têm o suficiente? O que vocês esperam que eu diga a respeito dessas coisas? Ora, é claro que não vou elogiá-los!
Pues qué, ¿no tenéis casas en que comáis y bebáis? ¿ó menospreciáis la iglesia de Dios, y avergonzáis á los que no tienen? ¿Qué os diré? ¿os alabaré? En esto no os alabo.
What? have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or despise ye the church of God, and shame them that have not? What shall I say to you? shall I praise you in this? I praise you not.
What, don’t you have houses to eat and to drink in? Or do you despise God’s assembly and put them to shame who don’t have enough? What shall I tell you? Shall I praise you? In this I don’t praise you.
Pois isto é o que o próprio Senhor disse com relação à sua mesa, e que eu antes já lhes havia transmitido: Que na noite em que o Senhor Jesus foi traído, ele tomou o pão,
Porque yo recibí del Señor lo que también os he enseñado: Que el Señor Jesús, la noche que fué entregado, tomó pan;
For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:
For I received from the Lord that which also I delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night in which he was betrayed took bread.
e, depois de haver agradecido a Deus, partiu-o e o deu aos seus discípulos, dizendo: “Tomem e comam. Isto é o meu corpo, que é entregue por vocês. Façam isso para se lembrarem de mim”.
Y habiendo dado gracias, lo partió, y dijo: Tomad, comed: esto es mi cuerpo que por vosotros es partido: haced esto en memoria de mí.
And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
When he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “Take, eat. This is my body, which is broken for you. Do this in memory of me.”
De igual modo, ele tomou o cálice de vinho depois da ceia, dizendo: “Este cálice é a nova aliança do meu sangue. Façam isso em memória de mim, toda vez que o beberem”.
Asimismo tomó también la copa, después de haber cenado, diciendo: Esta copa es el nuevo pacto en mi sangre: haced esto todas las veces que bebiereis, en memoria de mí.
After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.
In the same way he also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink, in memory of me.”
Porque cada vez que vocês comerem esse pão e beberem esse cálice, estão anunciando a mensagem da morte do Senhor, morte que ele sofreu por vocês. Façam isso até que ele venha.
Porque todas las veces que comiereis este pan, y bebiereis esta copa, la muerte del Señor anunciáis hasta que venga.
For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come.
For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.
Portanto, se alguém comer esse pão e beber desse cálice do Senhor de maneira indigna, é culpado de pecado contra o corpo e o sangue do Senhor.
De manera que, cualquiera que comiere este pan ó bebiere esta copa del Señor indignamente, será culpado del cuerpo y de la sangre del Señor.
Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.
Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks the Lord’s cup in a way unworthy of the Lord will be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord.
É por isso que um homem deve examinar-se cuidadosamente a si mesmo, antes de comer o pão e beber do cálice.
Por tanto, pruébese cada uno á sí mismo, y coma así de aquel pan, y beba de aquella copa.
But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.
But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup.
Porque, se ele comer o pão e beber do cálice indignamente, sem reconhecer que se trata do corpo do Senhor, está comendo e bebendo o julgamento de Deus sobre a sua própria vida.
Porque el que come y bebe indignamente, juicio come y bebe para sí, no discerniendo el cuerpo del Señor.
For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body.
For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy way eats and drinks judgment to himself if he doesn’t discern the Lord’s body.
É por isso que muitos de vocês estão fracos e doentes, e alguns até já morreram.
Por lo cual hay muchos enfermos y debilitados entre vosotros; y muchos duermen.
For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.
For this cause many among you are weak and sickly, and not a few sleep.
Entretanto, se examinássemos cuidadosamente a nós mesmos, não precisaríamos ser julgados e punidos.
Que si nos examinásemos á nosotros mismos, cierto no seríamos juzgados.
For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
For if we discerned ourselves, we wouldn’t be judged.
Contudo, quando somos julgados e castigados pelo Senhor, é para não sermos condenados com o resto do mundo.
Mas siendo juzgados, somos castigados del Señor, para que no seamos condenados con el mundo.
But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.
But when we are judged, we are disciplined by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world.
Assim, queridos irmãos, quando se reunirem para a Ceia do Senhor, esperem uns pelos outros;
Así, que, hermanos míos, cuando os juntáis á comer, esperaos unos á otros.
Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, tarry one for another.
Therefore, my brothers, when you come together to eat, wait for one another.
se alguém estiver com fome, que primeiro coma em casa, para não atrair castigo sobre si mesmo quando vocês todos se reunirem. Falarei com vocês a respeito dos outros assuntos depois que chegar aí.
Si alguno tuviere hambre, coma en su casa, porque no os juntéis para juicio. Las demás cosas ordenaré cuando llegare.
And if any man hunger, let him eat at home; that ye come not together unto condemnation. And the rest will I set in order when I come.
But if anyone is hungry, let him eat at home, lest your coming together be for judgment. The rest I will set in order whenever I come.
