1 Corintios 11

Sed, pues, imitadores míos, así como yo lo soy de Cristo .

SED imitadores de mí, así como yo de Cristo.

Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.

Be imitators of me, even as I also am of Christ.

Yo por mi parte os alabo, hermanos míos, de que en todas cosas os acordéis de mí, y de que guardéis mis instrucciones, conforme os lo tengo enseñado.

Y os alabo, hermanos, que en todo os acordáis de mí, y retenéis las instrucciones mías, de la manera que os enseñé.

Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you.

Now I praise you, brothers, that you remember me in all things, and hold firm the traditions, even as I delivered them to you.

Mas quiero también que sepáis que Cristo es el jefe y la cabeza de todo hombre, como el hombre es cabeza de la mujer, y Dios lo es de Cristo .

Mas quiero que sepáis, que Cristo es la cabeza de todo varón; y el varón es la cabeza de la mujer; y Dios la cabeza de Cristo.

But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

But I would have you know that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.

Todo hombre que ora o que profetiza teniendo la cabeza cubierta, deshonra su cabeza.

Todo varón que ora ó profetiza cubierta la cabeza, afrenta su cabeza.

Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head.

Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonors his head.

Al contrario, mujer que ora o profetiza con la cabeza descubierta deshonra su cabeza, siendo lo mismo que si se rapase.

Mas toda mujer que ora ó profetiza no cubierta su cabeza, afrenta su cabeza; porque lo mismo es que si se rayese.

But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.

But every woman praying or prophesying with her head uncovered dishonors her head. For it is one and the same thing as if she were shaved.

Por donde si una mujer no se cubre con un velo la cabeza, que se la rape también. Que si es cosa fea a una mujer el cortarse el pelo, o raparse, cubra por lo mismo su cabeza.

Porque si la mujer no se cubre, trasquílese también: y si es deshonesto á la mujer trasquilarse ó raerse, cúbrase.

For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.

For if a woman is not covered, let her hair also be cut off. But if it is shameful for a woman to have her hair cut off or be shaved, let her be covered.

Lo cierto es que no debe el varón cubrir su cabeza, pues él es la imagen y gloria de Dios; mas la mujer es la gloria del varón.

Porque el varón no ha de cubrir la cabeza, porque es imagen y gloria de Dios: mas la mujer es gloria del varón.

For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.

For a man indeed ought not to have his head covered, because he is the image and glory of God, but the woman is the glory of the man.

Que no fue el hombre formado de la hembra, sino al contrario la hembra del hombre.

Porque el varón no es de la mujer, sino la mujer del varón.

For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man.

For man is not from woman, but woman from man;

Como ni tampoco fue el hombre creado para la hembra, sino la hembra para el hombre.

Porque tampoco el varón fué criado por causa de la mujer, sino la mujer por causa del varón.

Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.

for man wasn’t created for the woman, but woman for the man.

Por tanto debe la mujer traer sobre la cabeza la divisa de la sujeción, y también por respeto a los ángeles.

Por lo cual, la mujer debe tener señal de potestad sobre su cabeza, por causa de los ángeles.

For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.

For this cause the woman ought to have authority over her own head, because of the angels.

Bien es verdad que ni el varón por ley del Señor existe sin la mujer, ni la mujer sin el varón.

Mas ni el varón sin la mujer, ni la mujer sin el varón, en el Señor.

Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.

Nevertheless, neither is the woman independent of the man, nor the man independent of the woman, in the Lord.

Pues así como la mujer al principio fue formada del varón, así también ahora el varón nace de la mujer; y todo por disposición de Dios.

Porque como la mujer es del varón, así también el varón es por la mujer: empero todo de Dios.

For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God.

For as woman came from man, so a man also comes through a woman; but all things are from God.

Sed jueces vosotros mismos, ¿es decente a la mujer hacer en público oración a Dios sin velo?

Juzgad vosotros mismos: ¿es honesto orar la mujer á Dios no cubierta?

Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered?

Judge for yourselves. Is it appropriate that a woman pray to God unveiled?

¿No es así que la naturaleza misma, o la común opinión, os dicta que no es decente al hombre dejarse crecer siempre su cabellera;

La misma naturaleza ¿no os enseña que al hombre sea deshonesto criar cabello?

Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?

Doesn’t even nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a dishonor to him?

al contrario, para la mujer es gloria dejarse crecer el cabello, porque los cabellos le son dados a manera de velo para cubrirse?

Por el contrario, á la mujer criar el cabello le es honroso; porque en lugar de velo le es dado el cabello.

But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.

But if a woman has long hair, it is a glory to her, for her hair is given to her for a covering.

Pero si no obstante estas razones, alguno se muestra terco, le diremos que nosotros no tenemos esa costumbre, ni la Iglesia de Dios.

Con todo eso, si alguno parece ser contencioso, nosotros no tenemos tal costumbre, ni las iglesias de Dios.

But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.

But if any man seems to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither do God’s assemblies.

Por lo que toca a vuestras asambleas, yo os declaro que no puedo alabaros, pues ellas en lugar de seros útiles, os sirven de daño.

Esto empero os denuncio, que no alabo, que no por mejor sino por peor os juntáis.

Now in this that I declare unto you I praise you not, that ye come together not for the better, but for the worse.

But in giving you this command I don’t praise you, because you come together not for the better but for the worse.

Primero oigo que al juntaros en la iglesia hay entre vosotros parcialidades o desuniones, y en parte lo creo.

Porque lo primero, cuando os juntáis en la iglesia, oigo que hay entre vosotros disensiones; y en parte lo creo.

For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it.

For first of all, when you come together in the assembly, I hear that divisions exist among you, and I partly believe it.

Siendo, como es, forzoso que aun herejías haya, para que se descubran entre vosotros los que son de una virtud probada.

Porque preciso es que haya entre vosotros aun herejías, para que los que son probados se manifiesten entre vosotros.

For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you.

For there also must be factions among you, that those who are approved may be revealed among you.

Ahora, pues, cuando vosotros os juntáis ya no es para celebrar la cena del Señor.

Cuando pues os juntáis en uno, esto no es comer la cena del Señor:

When ye come together therefore into one place, this is not to eat the Lord’s supper.

When therefore you assemble yourselves together, it is not the Lord’s supper that you eat.

Porque cada uno come allí lo que ha llevado para cenar sin atender a los demás. Y así sucede que los unos no tienen nada que comer, mientras los otros comen con exceso.

Porque cada uno toma antes para comer su propia cena; y el uno tiene hambre, y el otro está embriagado.

For in eating every one taketh before other his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is drunken.

For in your eating each one takes his own supper first. One is hungry, and another is drunken.

¿No tenéis vuestras casas para comer allí y beber?, ¿o venís a profanar la Iglesia de Dios, y avergonzar a los pobres, que no tienen nada? ¿Qué os diré sobre eso? ¿Os alabaré? En eso no puedo alabaros.

Pues qué, ¿no tenéis casas en que comáis y bebáis? ¿ó menospreciáis la iglesia de Dios, y avergonzáis á los que no tienen? ¿Qué os diré? ¿os alabaré? En esto no os alabo.

What? have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or despise ye the church of God, and shame them that have not? What shall I say to you? shall I praise you in this? I praise you not.

What, don’t you have houses to eat and to drink in? Or do you despise God’s assembly and put them to shame who don’t have enough? What shall I tell you? Shall I praise you? In this I don’t praise you.

Porque yo aprendí del Señor lo que también os tengo ya enseñado, y es que el Señor Jesús la noche misma en que había de ser traidoramente entregado, tomó el pan,

Porque yo recibí del Señor lo que también os he enseñado: Que el Señor Jesús, la noche que fué entregado, tomó pan;

For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:

For I received from the Lord that which also I delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night in which he was betrayed took bread.

y dando gracias, lo partió, y dijo a sus discípulos: Tomad, y comed, éste es mi cuerpo, que por vosotros será entregado a la muerte; haced esto en memoria mía.

Y habiendo dado gracias, lo partió, y dijo: Tomad, comed: esto es mi cuerpo que por vosotros es partido: haced esto en memoria de mí.

And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.

When he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “Take, eat. This is my body, which is broken for you. Do this in memory of me.”

Y de la misma manera el cáliz, después de haber cenado, diciendo: Este cáliz es el nuevo testamento en mi sangre; haced esto cuantas veces lo bebiereis, en memoria mía.

Asimismo tomó también la copa, después de haber cenado, diciendo: Esta copa es el nuevo pacto en mi sangre: haced esto todas las veces que bebiereis, en memoria de mí.

After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

In the same way he also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink, in memory of me.”

Pues todas las veces que comiereis este pan y bebiereis este cáliz, anunciaréis la muerte del Señor hasta que venga.

Porque todas las veces que comiereis este pan, y bebiereis esta copa, la muerte del Señor anunciáis hasta que venga.

For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come.

For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.

De manera que cualquiera que comiere este pan, o bebiere el cáliz del Señor indignamente, reo será del cuerpo y de la sangre del Señor.

De manera que, cualquiera que comiere este pan ó bebiere esta copa del Señor indignamente, será culpado del cuerpo y de la sangre del Señor.

Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks the Lord’s cup in a way unworthy of the Lord will be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord.

Por tanto, examínese a sí mismo el hombre; y de esta suerte coma de aquel pan, y beba de aquel cáliz.

Por tanto, pruébese cada uno á sí mismo, y coma así de aquel pan, y beba de aquella copa.

But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.

But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup.

Porque quien lo come y bebe indignamente, se traga y bebe su propia condenación, no habiendo el debido discernimiento del cuerpo del Señor.

Porque el que come y bebe indignamente, juicio come y bebe para sí, no discerniendo el cuerpo del Señor.

For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body.

For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy way eats and drinks judgment to himself if he doesn’t discern the Lord’s body.

De aquí es que hay entre vosotros muchos enfermos y sin fuerzas, y muchos que mueren.

Por lo cual hay muchos enfermos y debilitados entre vosotros; y muchos duermen.

For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.

For this cause many among you are weak and sickly, and not a few sleep.

Que si nosotros entrásemos en cuentas con nosotros mismos, ciertamente no seríamos así juzgados por Dios.

Que si nos examinásemos á nosotros mismos, cierto no seríamos juzgados.

For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.

For if we discerned ourselves, we wouldn’t be judged.

Si bien cuando lo somos, el Señor nos castiga como a hijos con el fin de que no seamos condenados junto con este mundo.

Mas siendo juzgados, somos castigados del Señor, para que no seamos condenados con el mundo.

But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

But when we are judged, we are disciplined by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world.

Por lo cual, hermanos míos, cuando os reunís para esas comidas de caridad, esperaos unos a otros.

Así, que, hermanos míos, cuando os juntáis á comer, esperaos unos á otros.

Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, tarry one for another.

Therefore, my brothers, when you come together to eat, wait for one another.

Si alguno tiene hambre, coma en casa, a fin de que al juntaros no sea para condenación vuestra. Las demás cosas yendo yo ahí, las arreglaré.

Si alguno tuviere hambre, coma en su casa, porque no os juntéis para juicio. Las demás cosas ordenaré cuando llegare.

And if any man hunger, let him eat at home; that ye come not together unto condemnation. And the rest will I set in order when I come.

But if anyone is hungry, let him eat at home, lest your coming together be for judgment. The rest I will set in order whenever I come.
