1 Corintios 12

Y ahora, hermanos, deseo hablarles de los dones espirituales porque quiero que los entiendan bien.

Y ACERCA de los dones espirituales, no quiero, hermanos, que ignoréis.

Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.

Now concerning spiritual things, brothers, I don’t want you to be ignorant.

Como recordarán, antes de convertirse, ustedes solían andar tras los ídolos, ídolos que eran mudos.

Sabéis que cuando erais Gentiles, ibais, como erais llevados, á los ídolos mudos.

Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.

You know that when you were heathen, you were led away to those mute idols, however you might be led.

Por eso les advierto que nadie que dice mensajes del Espíritu puede maldecir a Jesús; y nadie puede decir que «Jesús es el Señor» si el Espíritu Santo no lo está ayudando.

Por tanto os hago saber, que nadie que hable por Espíritu de Dios, llama anatema á Jesús; y nadie puede llamar á Jesús Señor, sino por Espíritu Santo.

Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

Therefore I make known to you that no man speaking by God’s Spirit says, “Jesus is accursed.” No one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” but by the Holy Spirit.

Ahora bien, Dios nos da muchas clases de dones, pero el Espíritu Santo es la única fuente de esos dones.

Empero hay repartimiento de dones; mas el mismo Espíritu es.

Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

Now there are various kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit.

Hay diferentes maneras de servir a Dios, pero siempre es a un mismo Señor.

Y hay repartimiento de ministerios; mas el mismo Señor es.

And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.

There are various kinds of service, and the same Lord.

Hay muchas maneras en que Dios actúa, pero siempre es un mismo Dios el que realiza todas las cosas en nosotros.

Y hay repartimiento de operaciones; mas el mismo Dios es el que obra todas las cosas en todos.

And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.

There are various kinds of workings, but the same God who works all things in all.

El Espíritu Santo le da una manifestación especial a cada uno de nosotros para ayudar a los demás.

Empero á cada uno le es dada manifestación del Espíritu para provecho.

But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the profit of all.

A unos, Dios les da por medio del Espíritu la capacidad de impartir consejos sabios; otros tienen el don de hablar con mucho conocimiento; y es el mismo Espíritu el que se lo ha dado.

Porque á la verdad, á éste es dada por el Espíritu palabra de sabiduría; á otro, palabra de ciencia según el mismo Espíritu;

For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

For to one is given through the Spirit the word of wisdom, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit,

A unos les da una fe extraordinaria; a otros, poder para sanar enfermos.

A otro, fe por el mismo Espíritu; y á otro, dones de sanidades por el mismo Espíritu;

To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit,

A otros les concede el poder de realizar milagros; y a otros el don de profetizar. A unos les da el poder de discernir entre un espíritu malo y el Espíritu de Dios; a otros les concede que puedan hablar en diversas lenguas y aun a otros les da el don de interpretar esas lenguas.

A otro, operaciones de milagros; y á otro, profecía; y á otro, discreción de espíritus; y á otro, géneros de lenguas; y á otro, interpretación de lenguas.

To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

and to another workings of miracles, and to another prophecy, and to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of languages, and to another the interpretation of languages.

Todo esto lo hace un mismo y único Espíritu, y él da tales dones y determina cuál ha de recibir cada uno.

Mas todas estas cosas obra uno y el mismo Espíritu, repartiendo particularmente á cada uno como quiere.

But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

But the one and the same Spirit produces all of these, distributing to each one separately as he desires.

El cuerpo humano, aunque es uno, está compuesto de muchos miembros; y esos miembros, aunque son muchos, forman un solo cuerpo. Lo mismo sucede con el cuerpo de Cristo.

Porque de la manera que el cuerpo es uno, y tiene muchos miembros, empero todos los miembros del cuerpo, siendo muchos, son un cuerpo, así también Cristo.

For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.

For as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, being many, are one body; so also is Christ.

Hemos sido bautizados en el cuerpo de Cristo por un solo Espíritu, y todos hemos recibido el mismo Espíritu. Algunos somos judíos, otros son gentiles; algunos son esclavos y otros son libres. Pero todos formamos un solo cuerpo.

Porque por un Espíritu somos todos bautizados en un cuerpo, ora Judíos ó Griegos, ora siervos ó libres; y todos hemos bebido de un mismo Espíritu.

For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether bond or free; and were all given to drink into one Spirit.

El cuerpo tiene muchos miembros, no uno solo.

Pues ni tampoco el cuerpo es un miembro, sino muchos.

For the body is not one member, but many.

For the body is not one member, but many.

Si el pie dice: «No soy miembro del cuerpo porque no soy mano», ¿dejará por eso de ser miembro del cuerpo?

Si dijere el pie: Porque no soy mano, no soy del cuerpo: ¿por eso no será del cuerpo?

If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?

If the foot would say, “Because I’m not the hand, I’m not part of the body,” it is not therefore not part of the body.

Y si la oreja dice: «No soy miembro del cuerpo porque no soy ojo», ¿dejará por eso de pertenecer al cuerpo?

Y si dijere la oreja: Porque no soy ojo, no soy del cuerpo: ¿por eso no será del cuerpo?

And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?

If the ear would say, “Because I’m not the eye, I’m not part of the body,” it’s not therefore not part of the body.

Supongamos que el cuerpo entero fuera ojo, ¿cómo oiría? Y si el cuerpo entero fuera una oreja, ¿cómo podría oler?

Si todo el cuerpo fuese ojo, ¿dónde estaría el oído? Si todo fuese oído, ¿dónde estaría el olfato?

If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?

If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole were hearing, where would the smelling be?

Pero Dios colocó los miembros en el cuerpo como mejor le pareció.

Mas ahora Dios ha colocado los miembros cada uno de ellos en el cuerpo, como quiso.

But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.

But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body, just as he desired.

¡Qué extraño sería que el cuerpo tuviera un solo miembro!

Que si todos fueran un miembro, ¿dónde estuviera el cuerpo?

And if they were all one member, where were the body?

If they were all one member, where would the body be?

Pero Dios lo hizo con miembros diversos que, en conjunto, forman un cuerpo.

Mas ahora muchos miembros son á la verdad, empero un cuerpo.

But now are they many members, yet but one body.

But now they are many members, but one body.

El ojo jamás podrá decirle a la mano: «No te necesito». Ni la cabeza puede decirle a los pies: «No los necesito».

Ni el ojo puede decir á la mano: No te he menester: ni asimismo la cabeza á los pies: No tengo necesidad de vosotros.

And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.

The eye can’t tell the hand, “I have no need for you,” or again the head to the feet, “I have no need for you.”

Al contrario, los miembros del cuerpo que parecen más débiles son los más necesarios.

Antes, mucho más los miembros del cuerpo que parecen más flacos, son necesarios;

Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:

No, much rather, those members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary.

Y a los menos importantes, los tratamos con más cuidado; y con esmero tratamos a los que no deben exhibirse.

Y á aquellos del cuerpo que estimamos ser más viles, á éstos vestimos más honrosamente; y los que en nosotros son menos honestos, tienen más compostura.

And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.

Those parts of the body which we think to be less honorable, on those we bestow more abundant honor; and our unpresentable parts have more abundant modesty,

Pero no hacemos lo mismo con los miembros que son más decorosos. Así que Dios armó el cuerpo de tal manera que los miembros que pudieran parecer menos importantes recibieran más honor.

Porque los que en nosotros son más honestos, no tienen necesidad: mas Dios ordenó el cuerpo, dando más abundante honor al que le faltaba;

For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked:

while our presentable parts have no such need. But God composed the body together, giving more abundant honor to the inferior part,

Esto hace que no haya divisiones en el cuerpo, sino que cada uno se ocupe de los demás.

Para que no haya desavenencia en el cuerpo, sino que los miembros todos se interesen los unos por los otros.

That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.

that there should be no division in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another.

Si un miembro sufre, los demás miembros sufren con él; y si un miembro recibe algún honor, los demás se regocijan con él.

Por manera que si un miembro padece, todos los miembros á una se duelen; y si un miembro es honrado, todos los miembros á una se gozan.

And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

When one member suffers, all the members suffer with it. When one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.

Todos ustedes forman el cuerpo de Cristo, y cada uno es un miembro necesario de ese cuerpo.

Pues vosotros sois el cuerpo de Cristo, y miembros en parte.

Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.

Dios ha puesto en su iglesia: apóstoles, que son los primeros, profetas, en segundo lugar, maestros, en tercer lugar, y luego, los que realizan milagros, los que tienen el don de sanar, los que pueden ayudar a los demás, los que pueden administrar, los que hablan en diversas lenguas.

Y á unos puso Dios en la iglesia, primeramente apóstoles, luego profetas, lo tercero doctores; luego facultades; luego dones de sanidades, ayudas, gobernaciones, géneros de lenguas.

And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

God has set some in the assembly: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracle workers, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, and various kinds of languages.

¿Son todos apóstoles? ¿Son todos profetas? ¿Son todos maestros? ¿Hacen todos milagros?

¿Son todos apóstoles? ¿son todos profetas? ¿todos doctores? ¿todos facultades?

Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?

Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all miracle workers?

¿Ha dado Dios a todos el don de sanar enfermos o de hablar en lenguas extrañas? ¿Puede cualquiera entender e interpretar otras lenguas? Obviamente, no.

¿Tienen todos dones de sanidad? ¿hablan todos lenguas? ¿interpretan todos?

Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?

Do all have gifts of healings? Do all speak with various languages? Do all interpret?

Ustedes, por su parte, traten de obtener los mejores dones. Pero déjenme mostrarles un camino más excelente:

Empero procurad los mejores dones: mas aun yo os muestro un camino más excelente.

But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.

But earnestly desire the best gifts. Moreover, I show a most excellent way to you.
