Quand je distribuerais tous mes biens pour la nourriture des pauvres, quand je livrerais mon corps aux flammes, si je n`ai pas la charité, tout cela ne me sert de rien

Y si repartiese toda mi hacienda para dar de comer á pobres, y si entregase mi cuerpo para ser quemado, y no tengo caridad, de nada me sirve.

And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

If I give away all my goods to feed the poor, and if I give my body to be burned, but don’t have love, it profits me nothing.
