Et quand je distribuerais tout mon bien pour la nourriture des pauvres, et que je livrerais mon corps pour être brûlé, si je n’ai pas la charité : cela ne me sert de rien.

Y si repartiese toda mi hacienda para dar de comer á pobres, y si entregase mi cuerpo para ser quemado, y no tengo caridad, de nada me sirve.

And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
