Und wenn ich alle meine Habe austeile und meinen Leib hergebe, damit ich verbrannt werde, habe aber keine Liebe, so nützt es mir nichts!

Y si repartiese toda mi hacienda para dar de comer á pobres, y si entregase mi cuerpo para ser quemado, y no tengo caridad, de nada me sirve.

And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
