Die Liebe ist langmütig, ist gütig; die Liebe neidet nicht, die Liebe tut nicht groß, sie bläht sich nicht auf,

La caridad es sufrida, es benigna; la caridad no tiene envidia, la caridad no hace sinrazón, no se ensancha;

Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

Love is patient and is kind. Love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud,
