El amor no actúa de manera inapropiada ni insiste en salirse con la suya. El amor no es contencioso ni guarda registro de los errores.
No es injuriosa, no busca lo suyo, no se irrita, no piensa el mal;
Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil;
El amor no se deleita en el mal, sino que se alegra en la verdad.
No se huelga de la injusticia, mas se huelga de la verdad;
Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

El amor nunca se rinde, sigue creyendo, mantiene la confianza, y espera con paciencia en todas las circunstancias.

El amor nunca falla. Las profecías se acabarán. Las lenguas se callarán. El conocimiento se volverá inútil.
La caridad nunca deja de ser: mas las profecías se han de acabar, y cesarán las lenguas, y la ciencia ha de ser quitada;
Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will be done away with. Where there are various languages, they will cease. Where there is knowledge, it will be done away with.
Porque nuestro conocimiento y nuestra comprensión profética están incompletos.
Porque en parte conocemos, y en parte profetizamos;
For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.

Pero cuando esté completo, entonces lo que está incompleto desaparecerá.
Mas cuando venga lo que es perfecto, entonces lo que es en parte será quitado.
But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

Cuando era un niño, hablaba como niño, pensaba como niño y razonaba como niño. Pero cuando crecí dejé atrás las cosas de niño.

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

La confianza, la esperanza, y el amor duran para siempre, pero el más importante es el amor.
