Mas o que profetiza, fala aos seres humanos para edificação, convencimento, e consolação.

But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort.

O que fala língua estranha edifica a si mesmo; mas o que profetiza edifica à igreja.
El que habla lengua extraña, á sí mismo se edifica; mas el que profetiza, edifica á la iglesia.
He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.
He who speaks in another language edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the assembly.
E eu quero que todos vós faleis línguas, porém mais ainda que profetizeis; porque o que profetiza é maior que o que fala línguas, a não ser que também interprete, para que a igreja receba edificação.
Así que, quisiera que todos vosotros hablaseis lenguas, empero más que profetizaseis: porque mayor es el que profetiza que el que habla lenguas, si también no interpretare, para que la iglesia tome edificación.
I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying.
Now I desire to have you all speak with other languages, but even more that you would prophesy. For he is greater who prophesies than he who speaks with other languages, unless he interprets, that the assembly may be built up.
E agora irmãos, se eu viesse até vos falando línguas, o que vos aproveitaria, se não vos falasse ou por revelação, ou por conhecimento, ou por profecia, ou por doutrina?
Ahora pues, hermanos, si yo fuere á vosotros hablando lenguas, ¿qué os aprovecharé, si no os hablare, ó con revelación, ó con ciencia, ó con profecía, ó con doctrina?
Now, brethren, if I come unto you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you, except I shall speak to you either by revelation, or by knowledge, or by prophesying, or by doctrine?
But now, brothers, if I come to you speaking with other languages, what would I profit you unless I speak to you either by way of revelation, or of knowledge, or of prophesying, or of teaching?
E até as coisas inanimadas, que produzem som, seja flauta, seja harpa, se não derem distinção de sons, como saberá o que se toca com a flauta, ou com a harpa?
Ciertamente las cosas inanimadas que hacen sonidos, como la flauta ó la vihuela, si no dieren distinción de voces, ¿cómo se sabrá lo que se tañe con la flauta, ó con la vihuela?
And even things without life giving sound, whether pipe or harp, except they give a distinction in the sounds, how shall it be known what is piped or harped?
Even lifeless things that make a sound, whether pipe or harp, if they didn’t give a distinction in the sounds, how would it be known what is piped or harped?
Porque também se a trombeta der som incerto, quem se preparará para a guerra?
Y si la trompeta diere sonido incierto, ¿quién se apercibirá á la batalla?
For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle?
For if the trumpet gave an uncertain sound, who would prepare himself for war?
Assim mesmo também vós, se com a língua não derdes palavra compreensível, como se entenderá o que se diz? Porque estareis falando para o ar.
Así también vosotros, si por la lengua no diereis palabra bien significante, ¿cómo se entenderá lo que se dice? porque hablaréis al aire.
So likewise ye, except ye utter by the tongue words easy to be understood, how shall it be known what is spoken? for ye shall speak into the air.
So also you, unless you uttered by the tongue words easy to understand, how would it be known what is spoken? For you would be speaking into the air.
Por exemplo, há tantos tipos de vozes no mundo, e nenhuma delas é muda.
Tantos géneros de voces, por ejemplo, hay en el mundo, y nada hay mudo;
There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification.
There are, it may be, so many kinds of languages in the world, and none of them is without meaning.
Portanto, se eu não souber o propósito da voz, serei estrangeiro para o que fala, e o que fala será estrangeiro para mim.
Mas si yo ignorare el valor de la voz, seré bárbaro al que habla, y el que habla será bárbaro para mí.
Therefore if I know not the meaning of the voice, I shall be unto him that speaketh a barbarian, and he that speaketh shall be a barbarian unto me.
If then I don’t know the meaning of the language, I would be to him who speaks a foreigner, and he who speaks would be a foreigner to me.
Assim também vós, dado que desejais os dons espirituais, procurai neles abundar, para edificação da igreja.
Así también vosotros; pues que anheláis espirituales dones, procurad ser excelentes para la edificación de la iglesia.
Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church.

Porque se eu orar em língua estranha ,meu espírito ora, mas meu entendimento fica sem fruto.
Porque si yo orare en lengua desconocida, mi espíritu ora; mas mi entendimiento es sin fruto.
For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.
For if I pray in another language, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful.
Então é o que? Orarei com o espírito, mas também orarei com o entendimento; cantarei com o espírito, mas também cantarei com o entendimento.
¿Qué pues? Oraré con el espíritu, mas oraré también con entendimiento; cantaré con el espíritu, mas cantaré también con entendimiento.
What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.

De outra maneira, se tu bendisseres com o espírito, como aquele que não tem conhecimento dirá amém por teu bendizer? Pois ele não sabe o que tu dizes.
Porque si bendijeres con el espíritu, el que ocupa lugar de un mero particular, ¿cómo dirá amén á tu acción de gracias? pues no sabe lo que has dicho.
Else when thou shalt bless with the spirit, how shall he that occupieth the room of the unlearned say Amen at thy giving of thanks, seeing he understandeth not what thou sayest?
Otherwise, if you bless with the spirit, how will he who fills the place of the unlearned say the “Amen” at your giving of thanks, seeing he doesn’t know what you say?
Porque em verdade tu bem dás graças; mas o outro não é edificado.
Porque tú, á la verdad, bien haces gracias; mas el otro no es edificado.
For thou verily givest thanks well, but the other is not edified.
For you most certainly give thanks well, but the other person is not built up.
Graças dou a meu Deus, que mais línguas falo que todos vós.
Doy gracias á Dios que hablo lenguas más que todos vosotros:
I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all:
I thank my God, I speak with other languages more than you all.
Porém eu quero mais falar na igreja cinco palavras com meu entendimento, para que eu também possa instruir aos outros, do que dez mil palavras em língua estranha .
Pero en la iglesia más quiero hablar cinco palabras con mi sentido, para que enseñe también á los otros, que diez mil palabras en lengua desconocida.
Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue.
However, in the assembly I would rather speak five words with my understanding, that I might instruct others also, than ten thousand words in another language.
Irmãos, não sejais meninos no entendimento, mas sede meninos na malícia, e adultos no entendimento.
Hermanos, no seáis niños en el sentido, sino sed niños en la malicia: empero perfectos en el sentido.
Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit in malice be ye children, but in understanding be men.
Brothers, don’t be children in thoughts, yet in malice be babies, but in thoughts be mature.
Na Lei está escrito: A este povo falarei por gente de outras línguas, e por outros lábios; e ainda assim não me ouvirão, diz o Senhor.
En la ley está escrito: En otras lenguas y en otros labios hablaré á este pueblo; y ni aun así me oirán, dice el Señor.
In the law it is written, With men of other tongues and other lips will I speak unto this people; and yet for all that will they not hear me, saith the Lord.

Então as línguas estranhas são por sinal, não para os que creem, mas para os que não creem; e a profecia não é para os que não creem, mas para os que creem.
Así que, las lenguas por señal son, no á los fieles, sino á los infieles: mas la profecía, no á los infieles, sino á los fieles.
Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe.
Therefore other languages are for a sign, not to those who believe, but to the unbelieving; but prophesying is for a sign, not to the unbelieving, but to those who believe.
Pois se toda a igreja se reunir, e todos falarem línguas estranhas , e entrarem alguns sem entendimento ou descrentes, não dirão que estais loucos?
De manera que, si toda la iglesia se juntare en uno, y todos hablan lenguas, y entran indoctos ó infieles, ¿no dirán que estáis locos?
If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad?
If therefore the whole assembly is assembled together and all speak with other languages, and unlearned or unbelieving people come in, won’t they say that you are crazy?
Mas se todos profetizarem, e algum sem entendimento ou descrente entrar, por todos é convencido, e por todos é julgado.
Mas si todos profetizan, y entra algún infiel ó indocto, de todos es convencido, de todos es juzgado;
But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or one unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all:
But if all prophesy, and someone unbelieving or unlearned comes in, he is reproved by all, and he is judged by all.
E assim os segredos de seu coração ficam manifestos, e assim, lançando-se sobre seu rosto, adorará a Deus, reconhecendo publicamente que Deus está entre vós.
Lo oculto de su corazón se hace manifiesto: y así, postrándose sobre el rostro, adorará á Dios, declarando que verdaderamente Dios está en vosotros.
And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth.
And thus the secrets of his heart are revealed. So he will fall down on his face and worship God, declaring that God is among you indeed.
Então o que há, irmãos? Quando vos reunis, tem cada um de vós salmo, tem doutrina, tem língua estranha ,tem revelação, tem interpretação, tudo se faça para edificação.
¿Qué hay pues, hermanos? Cuando os juntáis, cada uno de vosotros tiene salmo, tiene doctrina, tiene lengua, tiene revelación, tiene interpretación: hágase todo para edificación.
How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.
What is it then, brothers? When you come together, each one of you has a psalm, has a teaching, has a revelation, has another language, or has an interpretation. Let all things be done to build each other up.
E se alguém falar em língua estranha , sejam dois, ou no máximo três, e alternando-se, e um que interprete.
Si hablare alguno en lengua extraña, sea esto por dos, ó á lo más tres, y por turno; mas uno interprete.
If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret.
If any man speaks in another language, let there be two, or at the most three, and in turn; and let one interpret.
Mas se não houver intérprete, cale-se na igreja, fale porém consigo mesmo, e com Deus.
Y si no hubiere intérprete, calle en la iglesia, y hable á sí mismo y á Dios.
But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.
But if there is no interpreter, let him keep silent in the assembly, and let him speak to himself and to God.
E falem dois ou três profetas, e os outros julguem.
Asimismo, los profetas hablen dos ó tres, y los demás juzguen.
Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge.
Let two or three of the prophets speak, and let the others discern.
Mas se a outro, que estiver sentada, for revelada alguma coisa , cale-se o primeiro.
Y si á otro que estuviere sentado, fuere revelado, calle el primero.
If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace.
But if a revelation is made to another sitting by, let the first keep silent.
Porque todos vós podeis profetizar, um após o outro, para que todos aprendam, e sejam todos fortalecidos.

For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted.

E os espíritos dos profetas estão sujeitos aos profetas.

Porque Deus não é de confusão, mas de paz, como em todas as igrejas dos santos.
Porque Dios no es Dios de disensión, sino de paz; como en todas las iglesias de los santos.
For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
for God is not a God of confusion but of peace, as in all the assemblies of the saints.
Vossas mulheres fiquem caladas nas igrejas; porque não lhes é permitido falar, mas que estejam sujeitas, como também a Lei o diz.
Vuestras mujeres callen en las congregaciones; porque no les es permitido hablar, sino que estén sujetas, como también la ley dice.
Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.
Let the wives be quiet in the assemblies, for it has not been permitted for them to be talking except in submission, as the law also says,
E se quiserem aprender alguma coisa, perguntem a seus próprios maridos em casa; porque é impróprio as mulheres falarem na igreja.
Y si quieren aprender alguna cosa, pregunten en casa á sus maridos; porque deshonesta cosa es hablar una mujer en la congregación.
And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.
if they desire to learn anything. “Let them ask their own husbands at home, for it is shameful for a wife to be talking in the assembly.”
Por acaso a palavra de Deus saiu de vós? Ou ela somente chegou a vós?
Qué, ¿ha salido de vosotros la palabra de Dios? ¿ó á vosotros solos ha llegado?
What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only?
What!? Was it from you that the word of God went out? Or did it come to you alone?
Se alguém pensa ser profeta, ou espiritual, reconheça que as coisas que escrevo são mandamento do Senhor.
Si alguno á su parecer, es profeta, ó espiritual, reconozca lo que os escribo, porque son mandamientos del Señor.
If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.
If any man thinks himself to be a prophet or spiritual, let him recognize the things which I write to you, that they are the commandment of the Lord.
Porém se alguém ignora, que ignore.
Mas el que ignora, ignore.
But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant.
But if anyone is ignorant, let him be ignorant.
Portanto, irmãos, desejai com zelo profetizar, e não impeçais o falar línguas estranhas .
Así que, hermanos, procurad profetizar; y no impidáis el hablar lenguas.
Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues.
Therefore, brothers, desire earnestly to prophesy, and don’t forbid speaking with other languages.
