1Permítanme recordarles, hermanos, el evangelio que les prediqué antes. Ustedes lo aceptaron entonces, y perseveran en él.
2Es por medio de este mensaje como ustedes alcanzan la salvación; es decir, si todavía lo creen firmemente. Si no, todo fue en vano.
3Lo primero que hice fue transmitirles lo que me enseñaron: que Cristo murió por nuestros pecados, de acuerdo con las Escrituras;
4que fue sepultado y que al tercer día se levantó de la tumba, según las Escrituras;
5que se le apareció a Cefas y, más tarde, a los doce.
6Después se apareció a más de quinientos cristianos a la vez, la mayoría de los cuales vive todavía, aunque algunos han muerto ya.
7Luego se le apareció a Jacobo, y después a todos los apóstoles.
8Y por último, como a uno que había nacido fuera de tiempo, se me apareció a mí.
9Yo soy el más insignificante de los apóstoles, título que ni siquiera debería ostentar, porque perseguí a la iglesia de Dios.
10Pero lo que soy, lo soy por la gracia de Dios. Y su gracia no ha sido en vano, porque he trabajado más que todos ellos, si bien es cierto que no he sido yo, sino la gracia de Dios que ha obrado por medio de mí.
11Pero no importa quién trabajó más, yo o ellos; lo importante es que les predicamos el evangelio y que ustedes lo creyeron.
12Ahora bien, si se predica que Cristo resucitó, ¿por qué algunos andan diciendo que no existe la resurrección de los muertos?
13Si no hay resurrección, Cristo no resucitó tampoco;
14y si no resucitó, vana es nuestra predicación y vana es la fe de ustedes.
15En ese caso, los apóstoles seríamos unos mentirosos, porque afirmamos que Dios levantó a Cristo de la tumba, y esto es imposible si los muertos no resucitan.
16Y si no resucitan, Cristo está muerto todavía,
17y la fe de ustedes es una ilusión, todavía están en sus pecados.
18Además, los cristianos que ya han muerto están perdidos.
19Si el ser cristiano nos fuera de valor sólo en esta vida, seríamos los seres más desgraciados del mundo.
20¡Pero Cristo sí resucitó! Y al resucitar se convirtió en el primero de los que resucitarán un día.
21La muerte entró en este mundo por lo que un hombre hizo; pero gracias a lo que otro hombre hizo, habrá resurrección de los muertos.
22Morimos porque tenemos parentesco con Adán, pero viviremos por estar unidos a Cristo.
23Todo, sin embargo, en su debido orden: Cristo resucitó primero; luego, cuando venga Cristo, resucitará su pueblo.
24Después llegará el fin, cuando Cristo entregará el reino a Dios el Padre, tras haber acabado por completo con todo poder, dominio y autoridad,
25porque Cristo tiene que reinar hasta derrotar a sus enemigos y ponerlos bajo sus pies.
26El último de ellos es la muerte.
27El Padre ha dado a Cristo imperio y autoridad sobre todas las cosas; por supuesto, Cristo no gobierna al Padre mismo, porque fue el Padre el que le dio autoridad para gobernar.
28Cuando por fin Cristo haya sometido todo, el Hijo mismo se pondrá a las órdenes del Padre, para que Dios tenga la supremacía absoluta.
29Si los muertos no fueran a resucitar, ¿para qué se bautizan algunos por los muertos? ¿Para qué lo hacen si no creen que los muertos resucitarán?
30¿Y para qué vamos a estar nosotros jugándonos constantemente la vida?
31Les aseguro que a diario arriesgo la vida; tan cierto es esto como el orgullo que siento por ustedes, en Cristo Jesús, nuestro Señor.
32¿Qué he ganado yo enfrentándome en Éfeso a hombres que eran como fieras? Si no vamos a resucitar, «¡comamos y bebamos que mañana moriremos!».
33No se dejen llevar por los que dicen tales cosas. «Las malas amistades, echan a perder las buenas costumbres».
34Despierten y no pequen más, porque algunos de ustedes no conocen a Dios. Para avergonzarlos les digo eso.
35Quizás algunos se pregunten: «¿Cómo resucitarán los muertos? ¿Qué clase de cuerpo tendrán?».
36¡Necio! Cuando uno siembra una semilla, no germina si no muere primero.
37Y cuando el brote sale a flor de tierra es muy distinto de la semilla que se plantó. Lo que uno siembra es un simple grano de trigo o de cualquier otra planta,
38pero Dios le da el cuerpo, del tipo que quiso que tuviera. La planta será de acuerdo con la semilla.
39Hay diferentes tipos de cuerpos. Los hombres, las bestias, los peces y las aves son diferentes entre sí.
40Los ángeles del cielo tienen cuerpo diferente del nuestro, y la belleza y la gloria de ellos es diferente de la belleza y la gloria de los nuestros.
41Por ejemplo, el sol tiene un tipo de gloria, mientras que la luna y las estrellas tienen otro. Y las estrellas se diferencian entre sí por su brillantez.
42De igual manera sucederá con la resurrección de los muertos. Lo que se entierra, se echa a perder; lo que resucita, no se corromperá jamás.
43El cuerpo que sembremos, es despreciable; pero cuando resucite será glorioso. Ahora es débil, pero cuando resucite será fuerte.
44Al morir sembramos un cuerpo material, pero cuando resucite será espiritual. Así como hay cuerpos físicos, hay cuerpos espirituales.
45Dicen las Escrituras que el primer Adán se convirtió en un ser viviente; pero el postrer Adán, Cristo, es un Espíritu que da vida.
46Entonces, primero tenemos cuerpo humano y después Dios nos da un cuerpo espiritual.
47Adán fue hecho del polvo de la tierra, pero Cristo descendió del cielo.
48Cada ser humano tiene un cuerpo como el de Adán; y los que viven en el cielo, tienen un cuerpo como el de Cristo.
49Al igual que ahora hemos llevado la imagen de Adán, un día nos pareceremos a Cristo.
50Les digo, hermanos míos, que ningún cuerpo de carne y hueso podrá entrar en el reino de Dios. Este cuerpo corruptible no puede heredar lo que es incorruptible.
51Les voy a revelar ahora un secreto: No todos moriremos, pero todos seremos transformados.
52Ocurrirá en un abrir y cerrar de ojos, cuando suene la trompeta final. Cuando esa trompeta suene, los que hayan muerto resucitarán con cuerpos nuevos que jamás morirán; y los que estemos vivos seremos transformados.
53Porque es imprescindible que este cuerpo corruptible se convierta en un cuerpo incorruptible, y que lo mortal sea inmortal.
54Cuando así suceda, se cumplirá la siguiente profecía: «Ha sido devorada la muerte por la victoria».
55«¿Dónde está, oh muerte, tu aguijón? ¿Dónde está, oh sepulcro, tu victoria?».
56En efecto, el pecado, que es el aguijón de la muerte, ya no existirá; y la ley, que le da poder al pecado, dejará de juzgarnos.
57¡Gracias a Dios que nos da la victoria por medio de Jesucristo, nuestro Señor!
58Por eso, amados hermanos míos, estén firmes y constantes; trabajen siempre para la obra del Señor, conscientes de que nada de lo que hagamos para el Señor será en vano.

1ADEMÁS os declaro, hermanos, el evangelio que os he predicado, el cual también recibisteis, en el cual también perseveráis;
2Por el cual asimismo, si retenéis la palabra que os he predicado, sois salvos, si no creísteis en vano.
3Porque primeramente os he enseñado lo que asimismo recibí: Que Cristo fué muerto por nuestros pecados, conforme á las Escrituras;
4Y que fué sepultado, y que resucitó al tercer día, conforme á las Escrituras;
5Y que apareció á Cefas, y después á los doce.
6Después apareció á más de quinientos hermanos juntos; de los cuales muchos viven aún, y otros son muertos.
7Después apareció á Jacobo; después á todos los apóstoles.
8Y el postrero de todos, como á un abortivo, me apareció á mí.
9Porque yo soy el más pequeño de los apóstoles, que no soy digno de ser llamado apóstol, porque perseguí la iglesia de Dios.
10Empero por la gracia de Dios soy lo que soy: y su gracia no ha sido en vano para conmigo; antes he trabajado más que todos ellos: pero no yo, sino la gracia de Dios que fué conmigo.
11Porque, ó sea yo ó sean ellos, así predicamos, y así habéis creído.
12Y si Cristo es predicado que resucitó de los muertos, ¿cómo dicen algunos entre vosotros que no hay resurrección de muertos?
13Porque si no hay resurrección de muertos, Cristo tampoco resucitó:
14Y si Cristo no resucitó, vana es entonces nuestra predicación, vana es también vuestra fe.
15Y aun somos hallados falsos testigos de Dios; porque hemos testificado de Dios que él haya levantado á Cristo; al cual no levantó, si en verdad los muertos no resucitan.
16Porque si los muertos no resucitan, tampoco Cristo resucitó:
17Y si Cristo no resucitó, vuestra fe es vana; aun estáis en vuestros pecados.
18Entonces también los que durmieron en Cristo son perdidos.
19Si en esta vida solamente esperamos en Cristo, los más miserables somos de todos los hombres.
20Mas ahora Cristo ha resucitado de los muertos; primicias de los que durmieron es hecho.
21Porque por cuanto la muerte entró por un hombre, también por un hombre la resurrección de los muertos.
22Porque así como en Adam todos mueren, así también en Cristo todos serán vivificados.
23Mas cada uno en su orden: Cristo las primicias; luego los que son de Cristo, en su venida.
24Luego el fin; cuando entregará el reino á Dios y al Padre, cuando habrá quitado todo imperio, y toda potencia y potestad.
25Porque es menester que él reine, hasta poner á todos sus enemigos debajo de sus pies.
26Y el postrer enemigo que será deshecho, será la muerte.
27Porque todas las cosas sujetó debajo de sus pies. Y cuando dice: Todas las cosas son sujetadas á él, claro está exceptuado aquel que sujetó á él todas las cosas.
28Mas luego que todas las cosas le fueren sujetas, entonces también el mismo Hijo se sujetará al que le sujetó á él todas las cosas, para que Dios sea todas las cosas en todos.
29De otro modo, ¿qué harán los que se bautizan por los muertos, si en ninguna manera los muertos resucitan? ¿Por qué pues se bautizan por los muertos?
30¿Y por qué nosotros peligramos á toda hora?
31Sí, por la gloria que en orden á vosotros tengo en Cristo Jesús Señor nuestro, cada día muero.
32Si como hombre batallé en Efeso contra las bestias, ¿qué me aprovecha? Si los muertos no resucitan, comamos y bebamos, que mañana moriremos.
33No erréis: las malas conversaciones corrompen las buenas costumbres.
34Velad debidamente, y no pequéis; porque algunos no conocen á Dios: para vergüenza vuestra hablo.
35Mas dirá alguno: ¿Cómo resucitarán los muertos? ¿Con qué cuerpo vendrán?
36Necio, lo que tú siembras no se vivifica, si no muriere antes.
37Y lo que siembras, no siembras el cuerpo que ha de salir, sino el grano desnudo, acaso de trigo, ó de otro grano:
38Mas Dios le da el cuerpo como quiso, y á cada simiente su propio cuerpo.
39Toda carne no es la misma carne; mas una carne ciertamente es la de los hombres, y otra carne la de los animales, y otra la de los peces, y otra la de las aves.
40Y cuerpos hay celestiales, y cuerpos terrestres; mas ciertamente una es la gloria de los celestiales, y otra la de los terrestres.
41Otra es la gloria del sol, y otra la gloria de la luna, y otra la gloria de las estrellas: porque una estrella es diferente de otra en gloria.
42Así también es la resurrección de los muertos. Se siembra en corrupción, se levantará en incorrupción;
43Se siembra en vergüenza, se levantará con gloria; se siembra en flaqueza, se levantará con potencia;
44Se siembra cuerpo animal, resucitará espiritual cuerpo. Hay cuerpo animal, y hay cuerpo espiritual.
45Así también está escrito: Fué hecho el primer hombre Adam en ánima viviente; el postrer Adam en espíritu vivificante.
46Mas lo espiritual no es primero, sino lo animal; luego lo espiritual.
47El primer hombre, es de la tierra, terreno: el segundo hombre, que es el Señor, es del cielo.
48Cual el terreno, tales también los terrenos; y cual el celestial, tales también los celestiales.
49Y como trajimos la imagen del terreno, traeremos también la imagen del celestial.
50Esto empero digo, hermanos: que la carne y la sangre no pueden heredar el reino de Dios; ni la corrupción hereda la incorrupción.
51He aquí, os digo un misterio: Todos ciertamente no dormiremos, mas todos seremos transformados,
52En un momento, en un abrir de ojo, á la final trompeta; porque será tocada la trompeta, y los muertos serán levantados sin corrupción, y nosotros seremos transformados.
53Porque es menester que esto corruptible sea vestido de incorrupción, y esto mortal sea vestido de inmortalidad.
54Y cuando esto corruptible fuere vestido de incorrupción, y esto mortal fuere vestido de inmortalidad, entonces se efectuará la palabra que está escrita: Sorbida es la muerte con victoria.
55¿Dónde está, oh muerte, tu aguijón? ¿dónde, oh sepulcro, tu victoria?
56Ya que el aguijón de la muerte es el pecado, y la potencia del pecado, la ley.
57Mas á Dios gracias, que nos da la victoria por el Señor nuestro Jesucristo.
58Así que, hermanos míos amados, estad firmes y constantes, creciendo en la obra del Señor siempre, sabiendo que vuestro trabajo en el Señor no es vano.

1Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
5And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:
6After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.
7After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.
8And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.
9For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.
10But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
11Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed.
12Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?
13But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:
14And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.
15Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.
16For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:
17And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.
18Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.
19If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
20But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
21For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
22For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
23But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.
24Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
25For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.
26The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
27For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.
28And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.
29Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead?
30And why stand we in jeopardy every hour?
31I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.
32If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die.
33Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
34Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.
35But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?
36Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:
37And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain:
38But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.
39All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.
40There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.
41There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.
42So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
43It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:
44It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
45And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
46Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
47The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.
48As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
49And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
50Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
51Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
55O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
56The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
57But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
58Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

1Now I declare to you, brothers, the Good News which I preached to you, which also you received, in which you also stand,
2by which also you are saved, if you hold firmly the word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.
3For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
4that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,
5and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.
6Then he appeared to over five hundred brothers at once, most of whom remain until now, but some have also fallen asleep.
7Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles,
8and last of all, as to the child born at the wrong time, he appeared to me also.
9For I am the least of the apostles, who is not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the assembly of God.
10But by the grace of God I am what I am. His grace which was given to me was not futile, but I worked more than all of them; yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
11Whether then it is I or they, so we preach, and so you believed.
12Now if Christ is preached, that he has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?
13But if there is no resurrection of the dead, neither has Christ been raised.
14If Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith also is in vain.
15Yes, we are also found false witnesses of God, because we testified about God that he raised up Christ, whom he didn’t raise up if it is true that the dead are not raised.
16For if the dead aren’t raised, neither has Christ been raised.
17If Christ has not been raised, your faith is vain; you are still in your sins.
18Then they also who are fallen asleep in Christ have perished.
19If we have only hoped in Christ in this life, we are of all men most pitiable.
20But now Christ has been raised from the dead. He became the first fruit of those who are asleep.
21For since death came by man, the resurrection of the dead also came by man.
22For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.
23But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, then those who are Christ’s at his coming.
24Then the end comes, when he will deliver up the Kingdom to God the Father, when he will have abolished all rule and all authority and power.
25For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet.
26The last enemy that will be abolished is death.
27For, “He put all things in subjection under his feet.” But when he says, “All things are put in subjection”, it is evident that he is excepted who subjected all things to him.
28When all things have been subjected to him, then the Son will also himself be subjected to him who subjected all things to him, that God may be all in all.
29Or else what will they do who are baptized for the dead? If the dead aren’t raised at all, why then are they baptized for the dead?
30Why do we also stand in jeopardy every hour?
31I affirm, by the boasting in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.
32If I fought with animals at Ephesus for human purposes, what does it profit me? If the dead are not raised, then “let’s eat and drink, for tomorrow we die.”
33Don’t be deceived! “Evil companionships corrupt good morals.”
34Wake up righteously and don’t sin, for some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.
35But someone will say, “How are the dead raised?” and, “With what kind of body do they come?”
36You foolish one, that which you yourself sow is not made alive unless it dies.
37That which you sow, you don’t sow the body that will be, but a bare grain, maybe of wheat, or of some other kind.
38But God gives it a body even as it pleased him, and to each seed a body of its own.
39All flesh is not the same flesh, but there is one flesh of men, another flesh of animals, another of fish, and another of birds.
40There are also celestial bodies and terrestrial bodies; but the glory of the celestial differs from that of the terrestrial.

48As is the one made of dust, such are those who are also made of dust; and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
49As we have borne the image of those made of dust, let’s also bear the image of the heavenly.
50Now I say this, brothers, that flesh and blood can’t inherit God’s Kingdom; neither does the perishable inherit imperishable.
51Behold, I tell you a mystery. We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed,
52in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we will be changed.
53For this perishable body must become imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54But when this perishable body will have become imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then what is written will happen: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”
55“Death, where is your sting? Hades, where is your victory?”
56The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.
57But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
58Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the Lord’s work, because you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
