Quiero ahora, hermanos míos, renovaros la memoria de la buena nueva que os he predicado, que vosotros recibisteis, en el cual estáis firmes,
ADEMÁS os declaro, hermanos, el evangelio que os he predicado, el cual también recibisteis, en el cual también perseveráis;
Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
Now I declare to you, brothers, the Good News which I preached to you, which also you received, in which you also stand,
y por el cual sois salvados, a fin de que veáis si lo conserváis de la manera que os lo prediqué, porque de otra suerte en vano habríais abrazado la fe.
Por el cual asimismo, si retenéis la palabra que os he predicado, sois salvos, si no creísteis en vano.
By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

En primer lugar, pues, os he enseñado lo mismo que yo aprendí del Señor, es a saber, que Cristo murió por nuestros pecados conforme a las Escrituras.
Porque primeramente os he enseñado lo que asimismo recibí: Que Cristo fué muerto por nuestros pecados, conforme á las Escrituras;

Posteriormente se dejó ver en una sola vez de más de quinientos hermanos juntos, de los cuales, aunque han muerto algunos, la mayor parte viven todavía.

After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.

For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

Mas por la gracia de Dios soy lo que soy, y su gracia no ha sido estéril en mí; antes he trabajado más copiosamente que todos; pero no yo sino más bien la gracia de Dios que está conmigo.

Ahora bien, si se predica a Cristo como resucitado de entre los muertos, ¿cómo es que algunos de vosotros andan diciendo que no hay resurrección de muertos?
Y si Cristo es predicado que resucitó de los muertos, ¿cómo dicen algunos entre vosotros que no hay resurrección de muertos?
Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?
Now if Christ is preached, that he has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?
Pues si no hay resurrección de muertos, como dicen ellos, tampoco resucitó Cristo .
Porque si no hay resurrección de muertos, Cristo tampoco resucitó:
But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:
But if there is no resurrection of the dead, neither has Christ been raised.
Mas si Cristo no resucitó, luego vana es nuestra predicación, y vana es también nuestra fe.
Y si Cristo no resucitó, vana es entonces nuestra predicación, vana es también vuestra fe.
And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.
If Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith also is in vain.
Además de eso somos convencidos por testigos falsos respecto a Dios; por cuanto hemos testificado contra Dios, diciendo que resucitó a Cristo , al cual no ha resucitado, si los muertos no resucitan.
Y aun somos hallados falsos testigos de Dios; porque hemos testificado de Dios que él haya levantado á Cristo; al cual no levantó, si en verdad los muertos no resucitan.
Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.
Yes, we are also found false witnesses of God, because we testified about God that he raised up Christ, whom he didn’t raise up if it is true that the dead are not raised.
Porque en verdad que si los muertos no resucitan, tampoco Cristo resucitó.
Porque si los muertos no resucitan, tampoco Cristo resucitó:
For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:
For if the dead aren’t raised, neither has Christ been raised.
Y si Cristo no resucitó, vana es vuestra fe, pues todavía estáis en vuestros pecados.

And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.

Por consiguiente, aun los que murieron creyendo en Cristo , son perdidos sin remedio.
Entonces también los que durmieron en Cristo son perdidos.

Si nosotros sólo tenemos esperanza en Cristo mientras dura nuestra vida, somos los más desdichados de todos los hombres.
Si en esta vida solamente esperamos en Cristo, los más miserables somos de todos los hombres.
If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
If we have only hoped in Christ in this life, we are of all men most pitiable.
Pero Cristo , hermanos míos, ha resucitado de entre los muertos, y ha venido a ser como las primicias de los difuntos.
Mas ahora Cristo ha resucitado de los muertos; primicias de los que durmieron es hecho.
But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
But now Christ has been raised from the dead. He became the first fruit of those who are asleep.
Porque así como por un hombre vino la muerte al mundo, por un hombre debe venir también la resurrección de los muertos.

For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.

En seguida será el fin del mundo; cuando Jesucristo hubiere entregado su reino, o Iglesia, a su Dios y Padre, cuando haya destruido todo imperio, y toda potencia, y toda dominación.
Luego el fin; cuando entregará el reino á Dios y al Padre, cuando habrá quitado todo imperio, y toda potencia y potestad.
Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
Then the end comes, when he will deliver up the Kingdom to God the Father, when he will have abolished all rule and all authority and power.
Entretanto debe reinar, hasta ponerle a todos los enemigos debajo de sus pies.
Porque es menester que él reine, hasta poner á todos sus enemigos debajo de sus pies.
For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.
For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet.
Y la muerte será el último enemigo destruido; porque todas las cosas las sujetó Dios debajo de los pies de su Hijo. Mas cuando dice la Escritura:
Y el postrer enemigo que será deshecho, será la muerte.
The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
The last enemy that will be abolished is death.
Todas las cosas están sujetas a él, sin duda queda exceptuado aquel que se las sujetó todas.
Porque todas las cosas sujetó debajo de sus pies. Y cuando dice: Todas las cosas son sujetadas á él, claro está exceptuado aquel que sujetó á él todas las cosas.
For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.
For, “He put all things in subjection under his feet.” But when he says, “All things are put in subjection”, it is evident that he is excepted who subjected all things to him.
Y cuando ya todas las cosas estuvieren sujetas a él, entonces el Hijo mismo quedará sujeto en cuanto hombre al que se las sujetó todas, a fin de que en todas las cosas todo sea de Dios.
Mas luego que todas las cosas le fueren sujetas, entonces también el mismo Hijo se sujetará al que le sujetó á él todas las cosas, para que Dios sea todas las cosas en todos.
And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.
When all things have been subjected to him, then the Son will also himself be subjected to him who subjected all things to him, that God may be all in all.
De otra manera, ¿qué harán aquellos que se bautizan para aliviar a los difuntos, si absolutamente los muertos no resucitan? ¿Por qué, pues, se bautizan por los muertos?
De otro modo, ¿qué harán los que se bautizan por los muertos, si en ninguna manera los muertos resucitan? ¿Por qué pues se bautizan por los muertos?
Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead?
Or else what will they do who are baptized for the dead? If the dead aren’t raised at all, why then are they baptized for the dead?
¿Y a qué fin a toda hora nos exponemos nosotros a tantos peligros?
¿Y por qué nosotros peligramos á toda hora?
And why stand we in jeopardy every hour?
Why do we also stand in jeopardy every hour?
No hay día, tenedlo por cierto, hermanos, en que yo no muera por asegurar la gloria vuestra y también mía, que está en Jesucristo nuestro Señor.
Sí, por la gloria que en orden á vosotros tengo en Cristo Jesús Señor nuestro, cada día muero.
I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.
I affirm, by the boasting in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.
¿De qué me sirve (hablando como hombre) haber combatido en Efeso contra bestias feroces, si no resucitan los muertos? En este caso, no pensemos más que en comer y beber, puesto que mañana moriremos.
Si como hombre batallé en Efeso contra las bestias, ¿qué me aprovecha? Si los muertos no resucitan, comamos y bebamos, que mañana moriremos.
If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die.
If I fought with animals at Ephesus for human purposes, what does it profit me? If the dead are not raised, then “let’s eat and drink, for tomorrow we die.”
No deis lugar a la seducción, las malas conversaciones corrompen las buenas costumbres.

Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.

Estad alerta, ¡oh justos!, y guardaos del pecado; porque entre nosotros hay hombres que no conocen a Dios, lo digo para confusión vuestra.
Velad debidamente, y no pequéis; porque algunos no conocen á Dios: para vergüenza vuestra hablo.
Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.
Wake up righteously and don’t sin, for some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.
Pero ¿de qué manera resucitarán los muertos?, me dirá alguno, o ¿con qué cuerpo vendrán?
Mas dirá alguno: ¿Cómo resucitarán los muertos? ¿Con qué cuerpo vendrán?
But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?
But someone will say, “How are the dead raised?” and, “With what kind of body do they come?”
¡Necio!, lo que tú siembras no recibe vida, si primero no muere.
Necio, lo que tú siembras no se vivifica, si no muriere antes.
Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:
You foolish one, that which you yourself sow is not made alive unless it dies.
Y al sembrar, no siembras el cuerpo de la planta que ha de nacer después, sino el grano desnudo, por ejemplo, de trigo, o de alguna otra especie.
Y lo que siembras, no siembras el cuerpo que ha de salir, sino el grano desnudo, acaso de trigo, ó de otro grano:
And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain:
That which you sow, you don’t sow the body that will be, but a bare grain, maybe of wheat, or of some other kind.
Sin embargo, Dios le da cuerpo según quiere, y a cada una de las semillas el cuerpo que es propio de ella.
Mas Dios le da el cuerpo como quiso, y á cada simiente su propio cuerpo.
But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.

Es puesto en la tierra todo disforme, y resucitará glorioso. Es puesto en tierra privado de movimiento y resucitará lleno de vigor.

Es puesto en tierra como un cuerpo animal, y resucitará como un cuerpo todo espiritual. Porque así como hay cuerpo animal, lo hay también espiritual, según está escrito:

Pero no es el cuerpo espiritual el que ha sido formado primero, sino el cuerpo animal, y en seguida el espiritual.
Mas lo espiritual no es primero, sino lo animal; luego lo espiritual.
Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
However, that which is spiritual isn’t first, but that which is natural, then that which is spiritual.
El primer hombre es el terreno, formado de la tierra; y el segundo hombre es el celestial, que viene del cielo.
El primer hombre, es de la tierra, terreno: el segundo hombre, que es el Señor, es del cielo.
The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.

As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.

Según esto, así como hemos llevado grabada la imagen del hombre terreno, llevemos también la imagen del hombre celestial.

And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
As we have borne the image of those made of dust, let’s also bear the image of the heavenly.
Digo esto, hermanos míos, porque la carne y sangre, o los hombres carnales, no pueden poseer el reino de Dios, ni la corrupción poseerá esta herencia incorruptible.
Esto empero digo, hermanos: que la carne y la sangre no pueden heredar el reino de Dios; ni la corrupción hereda la incorrupción.
Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
Now I say this, brothers, that flesh and blood can’t inherit God’s Kingdom; neither does the perishable inherit imperishable.
Ved aquí, hermanos, un misterio que voy a declararos: Todos a la verdad resucitaremos; mas no todos seremos cambiados en hombres celestiales.

Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

En un momento, en un abrir y cerrar de ojos, al son de la última trompeta: porque sonará la trompeta, y los muertos resucitarán en un estado incorruptible, y entonces nosotros seremos transformados.
En un momento, en un abrir de ojo, á la final trompeta; porque será tocada la trompeta, y los muertos serán levantados sin corrupción, y nosotros seremos transformados.
In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Porque es necesario que este cuerpo corruptible sea revestido de incorruptibilidad, y que este cuerpo mortal sea revestido de inmortalidad.

For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

Y cuando esto corruptible fuere vestido de incorrupción, y esto mortal fuere vestido de inmortalidad, entonces se efectuará la palabra que está escrita: Sorbida es la muerte con victoria.
So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
But when this perishable body will have become imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then what is written will happen: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”
¿Dónde está, ¡oh muerte!, tu victoria? ¿Dónde está, ¡oh muerte!, tu aguijón?
¿Dónde está, oh muerte, tu aguijón? ¿dónde, oh sepulcro, tu victoria?
O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
“Death, where is your sting? Hades, where is your victory?”
Aguijón de la muerte es el pecado; al paso que la fuerza del pecado es ocasionada de la ley.
Ya que el aguijón de la muerte es el pecado, y la potencia del pecado, la ley.
The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.
Pero demos gracias a Dios, que nos ha dado victoria contra la muerte y el pecado, por virtud de nuestro Señor Jesucristo.
Mas á Dios gracias, que nos da la victoria por el Señor nuestro Jesucristo.
But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Así que, amados hermanos míos, estad firmes y constantes, trabajando siempre más y más en la obra del Señor, que sabéis que vuestro trabajo no quedará sin recompensa delante del Señor.
Así que, hermanos míos amados, estad firmes y constantes, creciendo en la obra del Señor siempre, sabiendo que vuestro trabajo en el Señor no es vano.
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the Lord’s work, because you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
