1Ahora quiero recordarles sobre la buena nueva que les anuncié. Ustedes la aceptaron y se han mantenido firmes en ella.
2Por medio de esta buena noticia es que ustedes son salvos, si se aferran al mensaje que les di. ¡De lo contrario, habrán creído sin propósito alguno!
3Yo les di lo que yo mismo también recibí, un mensaje de vital importancia: que Cristo murió por nuestros pecados, conforme dice la Escritura;
4fue sepultado y resucitó de los muertos el tercer día, conforme dice la Escritura también.
5Se le apareció a Pedro, y después a los doce.
6Después de eso, se le apareció a más de cinco mil hermanos y hermanas al mismo tiempo, muchos de los cuales aún viven, aunque algunos murieron ya.
7Se le apareció a Santiago, luego a todos los apóstoles.
8Al final, se me apareció a mí también, que nací como en el tiempo equivocado.
9Porque soy el menos importante de todos los apóstoles, ni siquiera adecuado para ser llamado apóstol, siendo que perseguí a la iglesia de Dios.
10Pero por la gracia de Dios soy lo que soy, y su gracia por mí no fue desperdiciada. Por el contrario, he trabajado con más esfuerzo que todos ellos, aunque no fui yo, sino la gracia de Dios obrando en mí.
11Así que no importa si soy yo o son ellos, este es el mensaje que compartimos con ustedes y que los llevó a creer en Dios.
12Ahora, si el mensaje declara que Cristo resucitó de los muertos, ¿cómo es que algunos de ustedes dicen que no hay resurrección de los muertos?
13Si no hubiera resurrección de los muertos, entonces Cristo tampoco ha resucitado.
14Y si Cristo no resucitó, entonces nuestro mensaje es en vano, y su fe en Dios también lo es.
15Además, seríamos falsos testigos de Dios al decir que Dios levantó a Cristo de los muertos. Pero si es cierto que no hay resurrección, entonces Dios no levantó a Cristo de los muertos.
16Y si los muertos no resucitan, entonces Cristo no resucitó tampoco,
17y si Cristo no fue resucitado, la fe de ustedes en Dios es inútil, y todavía siguen en sus pecados.
18Esto también significa que los que murieron en Cristo están perdidos.
19Y si nuestra esperanza en Cristo solo es para esta vida, nadie es más digno de lástima que nosotros.
20Pero Cristo fue levantado de los muertos, las primicias de la cosecha de los que han muerto.
21Así como la muerte vino por un hombre, la resurrección de los muertos también vino por un hombre.
22Así como en Adán todos mueren, también en Cristo todos serán resucitados.
23Pero cada uno a su tiempo: Cristo como las primicias, y luego los que pertenecen a Cristo, cuando él venga.
24Después de esto vendrá el fin, cuando Cristo entregue el reino al Padre, después de haber destruido a todos los gobernantes, autoridades y potencias.
25Cristo tiene que gobernar hasta que haya puesto a todos sus enemigos bajo sus pies.
26El último enemigo que será destruido es la muerte.
27Como dice la Escritura: “Él puso todo bajo sus pies”. (Por supuesto, cuando dice que “todo” está bajo sus pies, es obvio que no se refiere a Dios, quien puso todo bajo la autoridad de Cristo).
28Cuando todo haya sido puesto bajo la autoridad de Cristo, entonces el Hijo también se pondrá bajo la autoridad de Dios, para que Dios, quien le dio autoridad al Hijo sobre todas las cosas, pueda ser todo en todas las cosas.
29De otro modo, ¿qué harán las personas que son bautizadas por los muertos? Si los muertos no resucitan, ¿por qué bautizar a la gente por ellos?
30En cuanto a nosotros, ¿por qué nos exponemos al peligro en todo momento?
31Déjenme decirles claramente, mis hermanos y hermanas: Yo muero cada día. Y esto es tan seguro como el orgullo que tengo por lo que Cristo ha hecho en ustedes.
32Humanamente hablando, ¿qué ganaría yo discutiendo con las personas que están en Éfeso, que son como bestias salvajes, si los muertos no resucitan? Si es así, entonces “¡comamos y bebamos, que mañana moriremos”!
33No se dejen engañar: “las malas compañías dañan el buen carácter”.
34¡Recobren la razón y dejen de pecar! Algunos entre ustedes no conocen a Dios. Y les digo esto para avergonzarlos.
35Por supuesto, alguno preguntará: “¿Cómo resucitan los muertos? ¿Qué tipo de cuerpo tendrán?”
36¡Cuán necia es esta pregunta! Lo que sembramos no germina a menos que muera.
37Cuando ustedes siembran, no siembran la planta como esta es al crecer, sino la semilla solamente, ya sea trigo o cualquier otra semilla que estén sembrando.
38Dios hace que la planta crezca de la manera que él lo ha determinado, y cada semilla produce plantas distintas, con diferentes formas.
39Los seres vivos están hechos de diferentes formas. Los seres humanos tienen un tipo de tejido en sus cuerpos, mientras que los animales tienen otro, las aves otro, y los peces, otro.
40Hay cuerpos celestiales y cuerpos terrenales. Los cuerpos celestiales tienen un tipo de belleza, mientras que los cuerpos terrenales tienen otro tipo.
41El sol brilla de una manera, la luna de otra manera, mientras que las estrellas también son diferentes, cada una brillando de manera distinta.
42Lo mismo ocurre con la resurrección de los muertos. El cuerpo es enterrado en descomposición, pero es resucitado para perdurar eternamente.
43Es sembrado con tristeza, pero es levantado en gloria. Es enterrado en debilidad, pero es levantado en poder.
44Es enterrado como un cuerpo natural, pero es levantado como un cuerpo espiritual. Pues así como hay cuerpos naturales, también hay cuerpos espirituales.
45Como dice la Escritura: “El primer hombre, Adán, se convirtió en un ser vivo;” pero el último Adán, en un espíritu que da vida.
46El Adán espiritual no vino primero, sino el natural. El Adán espiritual vino después.
47El primer hombre vino del polvo de la tierra; el segundo vino del cielo.
48Las personas terrenales son como el hombre hecho de la tierra; las personas celestiales son como el hombre que vino del cielo.
49Así como heredamos la semejanza del hombre terrenal, también heredaremos la semejanza del hombre celestial.
50No obstante, les digo, mis hermanos y hermanas: nuestros cuerpos presentes no pueden heredar el reino de Dios. Estos cuerpos mortales no pueden heredar lo eterno.
51Escuchen, voy a revelarles un misterio: No todos moriremos, pero todos seremos transformados,
52en un momento, en un abrir y cerrar de un ojo, al sonido de la última trompeta. Esta sonará, y los muertos serán levantados para no morir más, y nosotros seremos transformados.
53Porque este cuerpo corruptible debe vestirse de un cuerpo incorruptible. Esta vida mortal debe vestirse de inmortalidad.
54Cuando este cuerpo corruptible se haya vestido de un cuerpo incorruptible, y esta vida mortal se haya vestido de inmortalidad, entonces se cumplirá lo que dice la Escritura: “La muerte ha sido completamente conquistada y destruida.
55Muerte, ¿dónde está tu victoria? ¿Dónde está tu aguijón”?
56El aguijón que causa la muerte es el pecado; y el poder del pecado es la ley;
57pero alabemos a Dios, quien nos da la victoria por medio de nuestro Señor Jesucristo.
58Así que, mis queridos hermanos y hermanas: sean fuertes, permanezcan firmes, haciendo todo lo que puedan por la obra del Señor, pues saben que ninguna cosa que hagan por él es en vano.

1ADEMÁS os declaro, hermanos, el evangelio que os he predicado, el cual también recibisteis, en el cual también perseveráis;
2Por el cual asimismo, si retenéis la palabra que os he predicado, sois salvos, si no creísteis en vano.
3Porque primeramente os he enseñado lo que asimismo recibí: Que Cristo fué muerto por nuestros pecados, conforme á las Escrituras;
4Y que fué sepultado, y que resucitó al tercer día, conforme á las Escrituras;
5Y que apareció á Cefas, y después á los doce.
6Después apareció á más de quinientos hermanos juntos; de los cuales muchos viven aún, y otros son muertos.
7Después apareció á Jacobo; después á todos los apóstoles.
8Y el postrero de todos, como á un abortivo, me apareció á mí.
9Porque yo soy el más pequeño de los apóstoles, que no soy digno de ser llamado apóstol, porque perseguí la iglesia de Dios.
10Empero por la gracia de Dios soy lo que soy: y su gracia no ha sido en vano para conmigo; antes he trabajado más que todos ellos: pero no yo, sino la gracia de Dios que fué conmigo.
11Porque, ó sea yo ó sean ellos, así predicamos, y así habéis creído.
12Y si Cristo es predicado que resucitó de los muertos, ¿cómo dicen algunos entre vosotros que no hay resurrección de muertos?
13Porque si no hay resurrección de muertos, Cristo tampoco resucitó:
14Y si Cristo no resucitó, vana es entonces nuestra predicación, vana es también vuestra fe.
15Y aun somos hallados falsos testigos de Dios; porque hemos testificado de Dios que él haya levantado á Cristo; al cual no levantó, si en verdad los muertos no resucitan.
16Porque si los muertos no resucitan, tampoco Cristo resucitó:
17Y si Cristo no resucitó, vuestra fe es vana; aun estáis en vuestros pecados.
18Entonces también los que durmieron en Cristo son perdidos.
19Si en esta vida solamente esperamos en Cristo, los más miserables somos de todos los hombres.
20Mas ahora Cristo ha resucitado de los muertos; primicias de los que durmieron es hecho.
21Porque por cuanto la muerte entró por un hombre, también por un hombre la resurrección de los muertos.
22Porque así como en Adam todos mueren, así también en Cristo todos serán vivificados.
23Mas cada uno en su orden: Cristo las primicias; luego los que son de Cristo, en su venida.
24Luego el fin; cuando entregará el reino á Dios y al Padre, cuando habrá quitado todo imperio, y toda potencia y potestad.
25Porque es menester que él reine, hasta poner á todos sus enemigos debajo de sus pies.
26Y el postrer enemigo que será deshecho, será la muerte.
27Porque todas las cosas sujetó debajo de sus pies. Y cuando dice: Todas las cosas son sujetadas á él, claro está exceptuado aquel que sujetó á él todas las cosas.
28Mas luego que todas las cosas le fueren sujetas, entonces también el mismo Hijo se sujetará al que le sujetó á él todas las cosas, para que Dios sea todas las cosas en todos.
29De otro modo, ¿qué harán los que se bautizan por los muertos, si en ninguna manera los muertos resucitan? ¿Por qué pues se bautizan por los muertos?
30¿Y por qué nosotros peligramos á toda hora?
31Sí, por la gloria que en orden á vosotros tengo en Cristo Jesús Señor nuestro, cada día muero.
32Si como hombre batallé en Efeso contra las bestias, ¿qué me aprovecha? Si los muertos no resucitan, comamos y bebamos, que mañana moriremos.
33No erréis: las malas conversaciones corrompen las buenas costumbres.
34Velad debidamente, y no pequéis; porque algunos no conocen á Dios: para vergüenza vuestra hablo.
35Mas dirá alguno: ¿Cómo resucitarán los muertos? ¿Con qué cuerpo vendrán?
36Necio, lo que tú siembras no se vivifica, si no muriere antes.
37Y lo que siembras, no siembras el cuerpo que ha de salir, sino el grano desnudo, acaso de trigo, ó de otro grano:
38Mas Dios le da el cuerpo como quiso, y á cada simiente su propio cuerpo.
39Toda carne no es la misma carne; mas una carne ciertamente es la de los hombres, y otra carne la de los animales, y otra la de los peces, y otra la de las aves.
40Y cuerpos hay celestiales, y cuerpos terrestres; mas ciertamente una es la gloria de los celestiales, y otra la de los terrestres.
41Otra es la gloria del sol, y otra la gloria de la luna, y otra la gloria de las estrellas: porque una estrella es diferente de otra en gloria.
42Así también es la resurrección de los muertos. Se siembra en corrupción, se levantará en incorrupción;
43Se siembra en vergüenza, se levantará con gloria; se siembra en flaqueza, se levantará con potencia;
44Se siembra cuerpo animal, resucitará espiritual cuerpo. Hay cuerpo animal, y hay cuerpo espiritual.
45Así también está escrito: Fué hecho el primer hombre Adam en ánima viviente; el postrer Adam en espíritu vivificante.
46Mas lo espiritual no es primero, sino lo animal; luego lo espiritual.
47El primer hombre, es de la tierra, terreno: el segundo hombre, que es el Señor, es del cielo.
48Cual el terreno, tales también los terrenos; y cual el celestial, tales también los celestiales.
49Y como trajimos la imagen del terreno, traeremos también la imagen del celestial.
50Esto empero digo, hermanos: que la carne y la sangre no pueden heredar el reino de Dios; ni la corrupción hereda la incorrupción.
51He aquí, os digo un misterio: Todos ciertamente no dormiremos, mas todos seremos transformados,
52En un momento, en un abrir de ojo, á la final trompeta; porque será tocada la trompeta, y los muertos serán levantados sin corrupción, y nosotros seremos transformados.
53Porque es menester que esto corruptible sea vestido de incorrupción, y esto mortal sea vestido de inmortalidad.
54Y cuando esto corruptible fuere vestido de incorrupción, y esto mortal fuere vestido de inmortalidad, entonces se efectuará la palabra que está escrita: Sorbida es la muerte con victoria.
55¿Dónde está, oh muerte, tu aguijón? ¿dónde, oh sepulcro, tu victoria?
56Ya que el aguijón de la muerte es el pecado, y la potencia del pecado, la ley.
57Mas á Dios gracias, que nos da la victoria por el Señor nuestro Jesucristo.
58Así que, hermanos míos amados, estad firmes y constantes, creciendo en la obra del Señor siempre, sabiendo que vuestro trabajo en el Señor no es vano.

1Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
5And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:
6After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.
7After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.
8And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.
9For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.
10But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
11Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed.
12Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?
13But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:
14And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.
15Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.
16For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:
17And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.
18Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.
19If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
20But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
21For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
22For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
23But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.
24Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
25For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.
26The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
27For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.
28And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.
29Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead?
30And why stand we in jeopardy every hour?
31I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.
32If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die.
33Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
34Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.
35But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?
36Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:
37And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain:
38But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.
39All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.
40There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.
41There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.
42So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
43It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:
44It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
45And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
46Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
47The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.
48As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
49And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
50Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
51Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
55O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
56The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
57But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
58Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

1Now I declare to you, brothers, the Good News which I preached to you, which also you received, in which you also stand,
2by which also you are saved, if you hold firmly the word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.
3For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
4that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,
5and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.
6Then he appeared to over five hundred brothers at once, most of whom remain until now, but some have also fallen asleep.
7Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles,
8and last of all, as to the child born at the wrong time, he appeared to me also.
9For I am the least of the apostles, who is not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the assembly of God.
10But by the grace of God I am what I am. His grace which was given to me was not futile, but I worked more than all of them; yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
11Whether then it is I or they, so we preach, and so you believed.
12Now if Christ is preached, that he has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?
13But if there is no resurrection of the dead, neither has Christ been raised.
14If Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith also is in vain.
15Yes, we are also found false witnesses of God, because we testified about God that he raised up Christ, whom he didn’t raise up if it is true that the dead are not raised.
16For if the dead aren’t raised, neither has Christ been raised.
17If Christ has not been raised, your faith is vain; you are still in your sins.
18Then they also who are fallen asleep in Christ have perished.
19If we have only hoped in Christ in this life, we are of all men most pitiable.
20But now Christ has been raised from the dead. He became the first fruit of those who are asleep.
21For since death came by man, the resurrection of the dead also came by man.
22For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.
23But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, then those who are Christ’s at his coming.
24Then the end comes, when he will deliver up the Kingdom to God the Father, when he will have abolished all rule and all authority and power.
25For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet.
26The last enemy that will be abolished is death.
27For, “He put all things in subjection under his feet.” But when he says, “All things are put in subjection”, it is evident that he is excepted who subjected all things to him.
28When all things have been subjected to him, then the Son will also himself be subjected to him who subjected all things to him, that God may be all in all.
29Or else what will they do who are baptized for the dead? If the dead aren’t raised at all, why then are they baptized for the dead?
30Why do we also stand in jeopardy every hour?
31I affirm, by the boasting in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.
32If I fought with animals at Ephesus for human purposes, what does it profit me? If the dead are not raised, then “let’s eat and drink, for tomorrow we die.”
33Don’t be deceived! “Evil companionships corrupt good morals.”
34Wake up righteously and don’t sin, for some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.
35But someone will say, “How are the dead raised?” and, “With what kind of body do they come?”
36You foolish one, that which you yourself sow is not made alive unless it dies.
37That which you sow, you don’t sow the body that will be, but a bare grain, maybe of wheat, or of some other kind.
38But God gives it a body even as it pleased him, and to each seed a body of its own.
39All flesh is not the same flesh, but there is one flesh of men, another flesh of animals, another of fish, and another of birds.
40There are also celestial bodies and terrestrial bodies; but the glory of the celestial differs from that of the terrestrial.

45So also it is written, “The first man Adam became a living soul.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.
46However, that which is spiritual isn’t first, but that which is natural, then that which is spiritual.
47The first man is of the earth, made of dust. The second man is the Lord from heaven.
48As is the one made of dust, such are those who are also made of dust; and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
49As we have borne the image of those made of dust, let’s also bear the image of the heavenly.
50Now I say this, brothers, that flesh and blood can’t inherit God’s Kingdom; neither does the perishable inherit imperishable.
51Behold, I tell you a mystery. We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed,
52in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we will be changed.
53For this perishable body must become imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54But when this perishable body will have become imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then what is written will happen: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”
55“Death, where is your sting? Hades, where is your victory?”
56The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.
57But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
58Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the Lord’s work, because you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
