En cuanto a “recoger dinero para los hermanos creyentes”, les doy las mismas instrucciones que les di a las iglesias de Galacia.
CUANTO á la colecta para los santos, haced vosotros también de la manera que ordené en las iglesias de Galacia.
Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye.

El primer día de la semana, todos deben apartar dinero del que han ganado. No quisiera que se recogiera dinero cuando estoy con ustedes.
Cada primer día de la semana cada uno de vosotros aparte en su casa, guardando lo que por la bondad de Dios pudiere; para que cuando yo llegare, no se hagan entonces colectas.
Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.
On the first day of every week, let each one of you save as he may prosper, that no collections are made when I come.
Cuando llegue, escribiré cartas de recomendación para la persona que escojan, y esa persona llevará sus donativos a Jerusalén.
Y cuando habré llegado, los que aprobareis por cartas, á éstos enviaré que lleven vuestro beneficio á Jerusalem.
And when I come, whomsoever ye shall approve by your letters, them will I send to bring your liberality unto Jerusalem.
When I arrive, I will send whoever you approve with letters to carry your gracious gift to Jerusalem.
Si resulta que yo puedo ir también, entonces ellos pueden ir conmigo.

Now I will come unto you, when I shall pass through Macedonia: for I do pass through Macedonia.

y puedo quedarme con ustedes por un tiempo, quizás por la temporada de invierno, y después podrán enviarme nuevamente de camino hacia donde voy.
Y podrá ser que me quede con vosotros, ó invernaré también, para que vosotros me llevéis á donde hubiere de ir.
And it may be that I will abide, yea, and winter with you, that ye may bring me on my journey whithersoever I go.
But with you it may be that I will stay with you, or even winter with you, that you may send me on my journey wherever I go.
Esta vez no quiero ir a verlos por poco tiempo. Espero poder quedarme más tiempo con ustedes, si el Señor lo permite.

porque se me ha presentado una gran oportunidad allí, aunque tengo también muchos opositores.

Ahora, si Timoteo llega, asegúrense de que no tenga ningún temor de estar con ustedes, porque él está trabajando por el Señor tal como yo lo hago.
Y si llegare Timoteo, mirad que esté con vosotros seguramente; porque la obra del Señor hace también como yo.
Now if Timotheus come, see that he may be with you without fear: for he worketh the work of the Lord, as I also do.
Now if Timothy comes, see that he is with you without fear, for he does the work of the Lord, as I also do.
No permitan que nadie lo menosprecie. Envíenlo con alegría en su viaje para que pueda venir a verme. Los hermanos, hermanas y yo estamos esperándolo.
Por tanto, nadie le tenga en poco; antes, llevadlo en paz, para que venga á mí: porque lo espero con los hermanos.
Let no man therefore despise him: but conduct him forth in peace, that he may come unto me: for I look for him with the brethren.
Therefore let no one despise him. But set him forward on his journey in peace, that he may come to me; for I expect him with the brothers.
En cuanto a nuestro hermano Apolo: le insistí en que fuera a verlos junto con los otros creyentes, pero no tenía disposición de ir en el momento. Él irá a visitarlos cuando tenga la oportunidad de hacerlo.
Acerca del hermano Apolos, mucho le he rogado que fuese á vosotros con los hermanos; mas en ninguna manera tuvo voluntad de ir por ahora; pero irá cuando tuviere oportunidad.
As touching our brother Apollos, I greatly desired him to come unto you with the brethren: but his will was not at all to come at this time; but he will come when he shall have convenient time.
Now concerning Apollos the brother, I strongly urged him to come to you with the brothers, but it was not at all his desire to come now; but he will come when he has an opportunity.

I beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints,)
Now I beg you, brothers—you know the house of Stephanas, that it is the first fruits of Achaia, and that they have set themselves to serve the saints—
que respeten su liderazgo, y así mismo a todos los que ayudan en la obra con tanta dedicación.
Que vosotros os sujetéis á los tales, y á todos los que ayudan y trabajan.
That ye submit yourselves unto such, and to every one that helpeth with us, and laboureth.
that you also be in subjection to such, and to everyone who helps in the work and labors.
Me alegro de que Estéfanas, Fortunata y Acaico hayan llegado, porque lograron lo que ustedes no pudieron hacer.
