1 Corintios 1

Pablo, llamado a ser apóstol de Jesús, el Cristo por la voluntad de Dios, y el hermano Sóstenes,

Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother,

a la Iglesia de Dios que está en Corinto, santificados en Cristo Jesús, llamados a ser santos, y a todos los que invocan el Nombre del Señor nuestro, Jesús, el Cristo, en cualquier lugar, Señor de ellos y nuestro;

Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:

to the assembly of God which is at Corinth—those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called saints, with all who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ in every place, both theirs and ours:

Gracia y paz tengáis de Dios nuestro Padre, y del Señor Jesús el Cristo.

Gracias doy a mi Dios siempre por vosotros, por la gracia de Dios que os es dada en el Cristo Jesús;

I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ;

That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge;

con lo cual el testimonio del Cristo ha sido confirmado en vosotros,

de tal manera que nada os falte en ningún don, esperando la manifestación del Señor nuestro, Jesús, el Cristo;

So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:

el cual también os confirmará que permanezcáis sin pecado hasta el fin, hasta en el día de nuestro Señor Jesús, el Cristo.

Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Fiel es Dios, por el cual sois llamados a la confraternidad de su Hijo, Jesús, el Cristo, Señor nuestro.

God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

Todavía, hermanos, os ruego por el Nombre del Señor nuestro, Jesús, el Cristo, que habléis todos una misma cosa, y que no haya entre vosotros divisiones, antes seáis perfectos, unidos en un mismo entendimiento y en un mismo parecer.

Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

Porque me ha sido declarado de vosotros, hermanos míos, por los que son de Cloé, que hay entre vosotros contiendas;

For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.

quiero decir, que cada uno de vosotros dice: Yo soy de Pablo; pues yo de Apolos; y yo de Cefas; y yo de Cristo.

Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.

Now I mean this, that each one of you says, “I follow Paul,” “I follow Apollos,” “I follow Cephas,” and, “I follow Christ.”

¿Está dividido el Cristo? ¿Fue colgado en el madero Pablo por vosotros? ¿O habéis sido bautizados en el nombre de Pablo?

¿Está dividido Cristo? ¿Fué crucificado Pablo por vosotros? ¿ó habéis sido bautizados en el nombre de Pablo?

Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?

Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized into the name of Paul?

Doy gracias a Dios, que a ninguno de vosotros he bautizado, sino a Crispo y a Gayo;

I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius;

para que ninguno diga que habéis sido bautizados en mi nombre.

Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name.

Y también bauticé la casa de Estéfanas; mas no sé si he bautizado algún otro.

And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other.

Porque no me envió Cristo a bautizar, sino a predicar el Evangelio; no en sabiduría de palabras, para que no sea hecha vana el madero del Cristo.

For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.

Porque la Palabra del madero a la verdad es locura a los que se pierden; mas a los que se salvan, es a decir, a nosotros, es potencia de Dios.

For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are dying, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

Porque está escrito: Destruiré la sabiduría de los sabios, y reprobaré la inteligencia de los entendidos.

For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.

¿Qué es del sabio? ¿Qué del escriba? ¿Qué del filósofo de este siglo? ¿No ha enloquecido Dios la sabiduría de este mundo?

Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Hasn’t God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

Porque en la sabiduría de Dios, por no haber el mundo conocido a Dios por sabiduría, agradó a Dios salvar a los creyentes por la locura de la predicación.

Porque por no haber el mundo conocido en la sabiduría de Dios á Dios por sabiduría, agradó á Dios salvar á los creyentes por la locura de la predicación.

For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

For seeing that in the wisdom of God, the world through its wisdom didn’t know God, it was God’s good pleasure through the foolishness of the preaching to save those who believe.

Porque los judíos piden señales, y los griegos buscan sabiduría;

For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:

For Jews ask for signs, Greeks seek after wisdom,

pero nosotros predicamos a Cristo colgado en el madero, que es a los judíos ciertamente tropezadero, y a los gentiles locura;

Mas nosotros predicamos á Cristo crucificado, á los Judíos ciertamente tropezadero, y á los Gentiles locura;

But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;

but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Greeks,

pero a los llamados, así judíos como griegos, Cristo es potencia de Dios, y sabiduría de Dios.

But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God;

Porque lo loco de Dios es más sabio que los hombres; y lo flaco de Dios es más fuerte que los hombres.

Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:

antes lo que es la locura del mundo escogió Dios, para avergonzar a los sabios; y lo que es la flaqueza del mundo escogió Dios, para avergonzar lo fuerte;

Antes lo necio del mundo escogió Dios, para avergonzar á los sabios; y lo flaco del mundo escogió Dios, para avergonzar lo fuerte;

But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

but God chose the foolish things of the world that he might put to shame those who are wise. God chose the weak things of the world that he might put to shame the things that are strong.

y lo vil del mundo y lo menospreciado escogió Dios; y lo que no es, para deshacer lo que es,

And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:

God chose the lowly things of the world, and the things that are despised, and the things that don’t exist, that he might bring to nothing the things that exist,

para que ninguna carne se jacte en su presencia.

That no flesh should glory in his presence.

But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

Because of him, you are in Christ Jesus, who was made to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption,

para que, como está escrito: El que se gloría, gloríese en el Señor.

That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

that, as it is written, “He who boasts, let him boast in the Lord.”
