1 Corintios 1

Pablo, llamado a ser apóstol de Cristo Jesús porque Dios así lo quiso, y nuestro hermano Sóstenes,

PABLO, llamado á ser apóstol de Jesucristo por la voluntad de Dios, y Sóstenes el hermano,

Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother,

Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and our brother Sosthenes,

a la iglesia de Dios que está en Corinto, a los que han sido santificados en Cristo Jesús y llamados a ser un pueblo santo, junto con todos los que en cualquier lugar invocan el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, Señor de ellos y nuestro.

A la iglesia de Dios que está en Corinto, santificados en Cristo Jesús, llamados santos, y á todos los que invocan el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo en cualquier lugar, Señor de ellos y nuestro:

Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:

to the assembly of God which is at Corinth—those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called saints, with all who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ in every place, both theirs and ours:

Que Dios nuestro Padre y el Señor Jesucristo derramen en ustedes su amor y su paz.

Gracia y paz de Dios nuestro Padre, y del Señor Jesucristo.

Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

No ceso de dar gracias a Dios que les concedió su amor por medio de Cristo.

Gracias doy á mi Dios siempre por vosotros, por la gracia de Dios que os es dada en Cristo Jesús;

I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ;

I always thank my God concerning you for the grace of God which was given you in Christ Jesus,

Unidos a Cristo, ustedes se han llenado de toda riqueza, tanto en el hablar como en el conocimiento.

Que en todas las cosas sois enriquecidos en él, en toda lengua y en toda ciencia;

That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge;

that in everything you were enriched in him, in all speech and all knowledge—

Todo lo que les dije de Cristo se ha confirmado en ustedes,

Así como el testimonio de Cristo ha sido confirmado en vosotros:

Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:

even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you—

porque no les falta ya ningún don espiritual, mientras esperan con ansias el regreso de nuestro Señor Jesucristo.

De tal manera que nada os falte en ningún don, esperando la manifestación de nuestro Señor Jesucristo:

So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:

so that you come behind in no gift, waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ,

Él los mantendrá firmes hasta el fin, para que nadie los pueda culpar de nada en el día de nuestro Señor Jesucristo.

El cual también os confirmará hasta el fin, para que seáis sin falta en el día de nuestro Señor Jesucristo.

Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

who will also confirm you until the end, blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Dios siempre cumple su palabra, y él los llamó a vivir unidos a su Hijo, Jesucristo, nuestro Señor.

Fiel es Dios, por el cual sois llamados á la participación de su Hijo Jesucristo nuestro Señor.

God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

God is faithful, through whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Pero, amados hermanos, les suplico en el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo que no discutan más, que reine entre ustedes la armonía y cesen las divisiones. Les ruego encarecidamente que mantengan la unidad en sus pensamientos y propósitos.

Os ruego pues, hermanos, por el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, que habléis todos una misma cosa, y que no haya entre vosotros disensiones, antes seáis perfectamente unidos en una misma mente y en un mismo parecer.

Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

Now I beg you, brothers, through the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfected together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

Resulta, hermanos míos, que los de la familia de Cloé me han hablado de las riñas que se traen entre ustedes.

Porque me ha sido declarado de vosotros, hermanos míos, por los que son de Cloé, que hay entre vosotros contiendas;

For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.

For it has been reported to me concerning you, my brothers, by those who are from Chloe’s household, that there are contentions among you.

Me cuentan que algunos dicen: «Yo soy de Pablo»; y que otros afirman: «Yo soy de Apolos»; otros más dicen: «Yo soy de Cefas», y aun sostienen: «Yo soy de Cristo».

Quiero decir, que cada uno de vosotros dice: Yo cierto soy de Pablo; pues yo de Apolos; y yo de Cefas; y yo de Cristo.

Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.

Now I mean this, that each one of you says, “I follow Paul,” “I follow Apollos,” “I follow Cephas,” and, “I follow Christ.”

¿Cómo? ¿Está dividido Cristo? A ver, díganme, ¿morí yo por los pecados de ustedes? ¿Fue alguno bautizado en mi nombre?

¿Está dividido Cristo? ¿Fué crucificado Pablo por vosotros? ¿ó habéis sido bautizados en el nombre de Pablo?

Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?

Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized into the name of Paul?

¡Gracias a Dios que a ninguno de ustedes bauticé excepto a Crispo y a Gayo!

Doy gracias á Dios, que á ninguno de vosotros he bautizado, sino á Crispo y á Gayo;

I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius;

I thank God that I baptized none of you except Crispus and Gaius,

Así a nadie podría ocurrírsele que fue bautizado en mi nombre.

Para que ninguno diga que habéis sido bautizados en mi nombre.

Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name.

so that no one should say that I had baptized you into my own name.

Ah, y también bauticé a la familia de Estéfanas. Creo que no bauticé a nadie más,

Y también bauticé la familia de Estéfanas: mas no sé si he bautizado algún otro.

And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other.

(I also baptized the household of Stephanas; besides them, I don’t know whether I baptized any other.)

porque Cristo no me envió a bautizar sino a predicar el evangelio. Es más, mi predicación fue sin usar discursos propios de la sabiduría humana, para que el mensaje de la cruz de Cristo no perdiera su eficacia.

Porque no me envió Cristo á bautizar, sino á predicar el evangelio: no en sabiduría de palabras, porque no sea hecha vana la cruz de Cristo.

For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.

For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the Good News—not in wisdom of words, so that the cross of Christ wouldn’t be made void.

Sé bien que, para los perdidos, el mensaje de la cruz es una locura, pero para los salvos, esto es, para nosotros, es poder de Dios,

Porque la palabra de la cruz es locura á los que se pierden; mas á los que se salvan, es á saber, á nosotros, es potencia de Dios.

For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are dying, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

porque Dios mismo dice: «Destruiré los planes humanos por sabios que parezcan, y haré caso omiso de las ideas humanas por más brillantes que sean».

Porque está escrito: Destruiré la sabiduría de los sabios, y desecharé la inteligencia de los entendidos.

For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.

For it is written, “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise. I will bring the discernment of the discerning to nothing.”

¿Qué ha sido de los sabios, de los eruditos, de los filósofos de este mundo? Dios los ha hecho lucir tontos al mostrar lo necio de su sabiduría.

¿Qué es del sabio? ¿qué del escriba? ¿qué del escudriñador de este siglo? ¿no ha enloquecido Dios la sabiduría del mundo?

Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Hasn’t God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

En su sabiduría, Dios dispuso que el mundo jamás lo encontraría por medio de la inteligencia humana, y determinó salvar precisamente a los que creen por medio de la «locura» de la predicación.

Porque por no haber el mundo conocido en la sabiduría de Dios á Dios por sabiduría, agradó á Dios salvar á los creyentes por la locura de la predicación.

For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

For seeing that in the wisdom of God, the world through its wisdom didn’t know God, it was God’s good pleasure through the foolishness of the preaching to save those who believe.

Los judíos piden señales milagrosas y los gentiles buscan sabiduría.

Porque los Judíos piden señales, y los Griegos buscan sabiduría:

For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:

For Jews ask for signs, Greeks seek after wisdom,

Por eso, cuando les predicamos a Cristo crucificado, los judíos se escandalizan y los griegos dicen que es una locura.

Mas nosotros predicamos á Cristo crucificado, á los Judíos ciertamente tropezadero, y á los Gentiles locura;

But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;

but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Greeks,

Pero para los llamados, ya sean judíos o gentiles, Cristo es el poder de Dios y la sabiduría de Dios.

Empero á los llamados, así Judíos como Griegos, Cristo potencia de Dios, y sabiduría de Dios.

But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God;

Pues la locura de Dios es mucho más sabia que el más sabio plan humano, y lo débil de Dios es más fuerte que todos los hombres juntos.

Porque lo loco de Dios es más sabio que los hombres; y lo flaco de Dios es más fuerte que los hombres.

Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

Fíjense, hermanos, en los que Dios ha llamado entre ustedes: pocos son sabios, poderosos o nobles, según los criterios humanos.

Porque mirad, hermanos, vuestra vocación, que no sois muchos sabios según la carne, no muchos poderosos, no muchos nobles;

For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:

For you see your calling, brothers, that not many are wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, and not many noble;

Deliberadamente Dios ha escogido a los que el mundo considera tontos y débiles, para avergonzar a los que el mundo considera sabios y fuertes.

Antes lo necio del mundo escogió Dios, para avergonzar á los sabios; y lo flaco del mundo escogió Dios, para avergonzar lo fuerte;

But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

but God chose the foolish things of the world that he might put to shame those who are wise. God chose the weak things of the world that he might put to shame the things that are strong.

Ha escogido a los que en el mundo no tienen importancia alguna, para destronar a los que el mundo considera grandes.

Y lo vil del mundo y lo menospreciado escogió Dios, y lo que no es, para deshacer lo que es:

And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:

God chose the lowly things of the world, and the things that are despised, and the things that don’t exist, that he might bring to nothing the things that exist,

De modo que nadie pueda jactarse en la presencia del Señor.

Para que ninguna carne se jacte en su presencia.

That no flesh should glory in his presence.

that no flesh should boast before God.

Por Dios es por quien ustedes están unidos a Cristo Jesús, a quien Dios ha hecho nuestra sabiduría, nuestra justificación, nuestra santificación y nuestra redención.

Mas de él sois vosotros en Cristo Jesús, el cual nos ha sido hecho por Dios sabiduría, y justificación, y santificación, y redención:

But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

Because of him, you are in Christ Jesus, who was made to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption,

A fin de cuentas, como dicen las Escrituras: «El que quiera sentirse orgulloso, que se enorgullezca de lo que el Señor ha hecho».

Para que, como está escrito: El que se gloría, gloríese en el Señor.

That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

that, as it is written, “He who boasts, let him boast in the Lord.”
