1 Corintios 1

Paulo, escolhido por Deus para ser apóstolo de Cristo, e o irmão Sóstenes,

PABLO, llamado á ser apóstol de Jesucristo por la voluntad de Dios, y Sóstenes el hermano,

Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother,

Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and our brother Sosthenes,

à igreja de Deus que está na cidade de Corinto, aos separados em Cristo Jesus para serem santos, juntamente com todos os que, em toda parte, invocam o nome de Jesus Cristo, Senhor deles e nosso também:

A la iglesia de Dios que está en Corinto, santificados en Cristo Jesús, llamados santos, y á todos los que invocan el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo en cualquier lugar, Señor de ellos y nuestro:

Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:

to the assembly of God which is at Corinth—those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called saints, with all who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ in every place, both theirs and ours:

Que a graça e a paz de Deus, nosso Pai, e do Senhor Jesus Cristo estejam com vocês!

Gracia y paz de Dios nuestro Padre, y del Señor Jesucristo.

Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Nunca deixo de agradecer ao meu Deus por vocês por causa da graça que ele tem dado a vocês por meio de Jesus Cristo.

Gracias doy á mi Dios siempre por vosotros, por la gracia de Dios que os es dada en Cristo Jesús;

I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ;

I always thank my God concerning you for the grace of God which was given you in Christ Jesus,

Ele os enriqueceu em tudo e os ajudou a testificar dele, e deu-lhes uma compreensão total da palavra;

Que en todas las cosas sois enriquecidos en él, en toda lengua y en toda ciencia;

That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge;

that in everything you were enriched in him, in all speech and all knowledge—

o que eu lhes disse que Cristo podia fazer por vocês foi confirmado entre vocês!

Así como el testimonio de Cristo ha sido confirmado en vosotros:

Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:

even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you—

Agora vocês desfrutam de toda a graça e todas as bênçãos, de modo que não falta nenhum dom espiritual a vocês, e vocês têm todo o poder para executar a vontade dele durante este período de espera pela volta de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo.

De tal manera que nada os falte en ningún don, esperando la manifestación de nuestro Señor Jesucristo:

So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:

so that you come behind in no gift, waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ,

E ele garante, até o fim, que vocês serão considerados isentos de qualquer pecado ou culpa naquele dia quando ele voltar.

El cual también os confirmará hasta el fin, para que seáis sin falta en el día de nuestro Señor Jesucristo.

Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

who will also confirm you until the end, blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Certamente Deus é fiel, e foi ele quem os convidou a essa maravilhosa comunhão com seu Filho Jesus Cristo, nosso Senhor.

Fiel es Dios, por el cual sois llamados á la participación de su Hijo Jesucristo nuestro Señor.

God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

God is faithful, through whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Queridos irmãos, suplico-lhes em nome do nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo que parem essas discussões entre vocês. Que haja verdadeira harmonia, a fim de que não apareçam divisões na igreja. Eu lhes imploro que tenham o mesmo modo de pensar, unidos na mente e nas intenções.

Os ruego pues, hermanos, por el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, que habléis todos una misma cosa, y que no haya entre vosotros disensiones, antes seáis perfectamente unidos en una misma mente y en un mismo parecer.

Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

Now I beg you, brothers, through the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfected together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

Meus irmãos, alguns que moram na casa de Cloe me contaram a respeito das discussões e contendas entre vocês.

Porque me ha sido declarado de vosotros, hermanos míos, por los que son de Cloé, que hay entre vosotros contiendas;

For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.

For it has been reported to me concerning you, my brothers, by those who are from Chloe’s household, that there are contentions among you.

Uns estão dizendo: “Eu sou seguidor de Paulo”. Outros dizem que estão do lado de Apolo ou de Pedro; e outros ainda que só eles são os verdadeiros seguidores de Cristo.

Quiero decir, que cada uno de vosotros dice: Yo cierto soy de Pablo; pues yo de Apolos; y yo de Cefas; y yo de Cristo.

Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.

Now I mean this, that each one of you says, “I follow Paul,” “I follow Apollos,” “I follow Cephas,” and, “I follow Christ.”

Por acaso Cristo foi dividido em várias partes? Será que eu, Paulo, fui crucificado pelos seus pecados? Foram vocês batizados em nome de Paulo?

¿Está dividido Cristo? ¿Fué crucificado Pablo por vosotros? ¿ó habéis sido bautizados en el nombre de Pablo?

Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?

Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized into the name of Paul?

Dou graças a Deus por não ter batizado nenhum de vocês, a não ser Crispo e Gaio.

Doy gracias á Dios, que á ninguno de vosotros he bautizado, sino á Crispo y á Gayo;

I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius;

I thank God that I baptized none of you except Crispus and Gaius,

Porque agora ninguém pode dizer que foi batizado em meu nome.

Para que ninguno diga que habéis sido bautizados en mi nombre.

Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name.

so that no one should say that I had baptized you into my own name.

Ah, sim! Batizei a família de Estéfanas. E não me recordo de ter batizado mais alguém.

Y también bauticé la familia de Estéfanas: mas no sé si he bautizado algún otro.

And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other.

(I also baptized the household of Stephanas; besides them, I don’t know whether I baptized any other.)

Pois Cristo não me enviou para batizar, mas para pregar o evangelho; e até minha pregação parece simples, pois não prego com palavras de sabedoria humana, com receio de esvaziar o poder grandioso que há na mensagem da cruz de Cristo.

Porque no me envió Cristo á bautizar, sino á predicar el evangelio: no en sabiduría de palabras, porque no sea hecha vana la cruz de Cristo.

For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.

For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the Good News—not in wisdom of words, so that the cross of Christ wouldn’t be made void.

Sei perfeitamente bem como parece loucura, àqueles que estão perdidos, quando ouvem a mensagem da cruz. Nós, porém, que somos salvos, reconhecemos que esta mensagem é o próprio poder de Deus.

Porque la palabra de la cruz es locura á los que se pierden; mas á los que se salvan, es á saber, á nosotros, es potencia de Dios.

For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are dying, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

Pois está escrito: “A sabedoria dos seus sábios se desvanecerá, e o entendimento dos que são instruídos será rejeitado”.

Porque está escrito: Destruiré la sabiduría de los sabios, y desecharé la inteligencia de los entendidos.

For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.

For it is written, “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise. I will bring the discernment of the discerning to nothing.”

Então, onde estão esses sábios, esses eruditos, esses brilhantes comentaristas das grandes questões desta era? Deus fez com que todos eles parecessem ridículos, e mostrou que a sua sabedoria é loucura.

¿Qué es del sabio? ¿qué del escriba? ¿qué del escudriñador de este siglo? ¿no ha enloquecido Dios la sabiduría del mundo?

Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Hasn’t God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

Deus, em sua sabedoria, providenciou para que o mundo nunca encontrasse a Deus através da sabedoria humana. E então ele se manifestou e salvou todos quantos creram em sua mensagem — essa mesma que o mundo considera loucura.

Porque por no haber el mundo conocido en la sabiduría de Dios á Dios por sabiduría, agradó á Dios salvar á los creyentes por la locura de la predicación.

For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

For seeing that in the wisdom of God, the world through its wisdom didn’t know God, it was God’s good pleasure through the foolishness of the preaching to save those who believe.

Parece absurda para os judeus, porque eles desejam sinais miraculosos como prova de que o que está sendo pregado é verdadeiro; e é loucura para os gentios, porque eles creem somente naquilo que concorde com a sua filosofia e lhes pareça sábio.

Porque los Judíos piden señales, y los Griegos buscan sabiduría:

For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:

For Jews ask for signs, Greeks seek after wisdom,

Por isso, quando pregamos o Cristo crucificado, os judeus se ofendem e os gentios afirmam que tudo isso é um disparate.

Mas nosotros predicamos á Cristo crucificado, á los Judíos ciertamente tropezadero, y á los Gentiles locura;

But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;

but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Greeks,

Deus, porém, abriu os olhos dos que foram chamados para a salvação, tanto judeus como gentios, para verem que Cristo é o grandioso poder de Deus para salvá-los; o próprio Cristo é o centro do sábio plano de Deus para a salvação deles.

Empero á los llamados, así Judíos como Griegos, Cristo potencia de Dios, y sabiduría de Dios.

But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God;

Esse plano de Deus, chamado de “loucura”, é bem mais sábio do que o plano mais sábio do homem mais sábio, e a fraqueza de Deus é muito mais forte do que a força do homem.

Porque lo loco de Dios es más sabio que los hombres; y lo flaco de Dios es más fuerte que los hombres.

Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

Observem entre vocês mesmos, queridos irmãos, que poucos de vocês que foram chamados eram sábios de acordo com os padrões humanos, poucos eram poderosos ou de nobre nascimento.

Porque mirad, hermanos, vuestra vocación, que no sois muchos sabios según la carne, no muchos poderosos, no muchos nobles;

For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:

For you see your calling, brothers, that not many are wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, and not many noble;

Pelo contrário, Deus deliberadamente escolheu valer-se de ideias que o mundo considera loucura para envergonhar aqueles indivíduos que o mundo considera sábios e grandes e escolheu o que o mundo acha fraco para envergonhar o que é forte.

Antes lo necio del mundo escogió Dios, para avergonzar á los sabios; y lo flaco del mundo escogió Dios, para avergonzar lo fuerte;

But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

but God chose the foolish things of the world that he might put to shame those who are wise. God chose the weak things of the world that he might put to shame the things that are strong.

Ele escolheu o que é insignificante e desprezado pelo mundo, e que não é levado em conta absolutamente para nada, e o utilizou para reduzir a nada aqueles que o mundo considera grandes,

Y lo vil del mundo y lo menospreciado escogió Dios, y lo que no es, para deshacer lo que es:

And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:

God chose the lowly things of the world, and the things that are despised, and the things that don’t exist, that he might bring to nothing the things that exist,

para que ninguém, em parte alguma, se vanglorie na presença de Deus.

Para que ninguna carne se jacte en su presencia.

That no flesh should glory in his presence.

that no flesh should boast before God.

Porque é exclusivamente por iniciativa de Deus que vocês têm essa vida por meio de Cristo Jesus. Jesus se tornou sabedoria de Deus para nós, ou seja, justiça, santidade e salvação.

Mas de él sois vosotros en Cristo Jesús, el cual nos ha sido hecho por Dios sabiduría, y justificación, y santificación, y redención:

But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

Because of him, you are in Christ Jesus, who was made to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption,

Tal como se diz nas Escrituras: “Se alguém quiser se gloriar, que se glorie somente no Senhor”.

Para que, como está escrito: El que se gloría, gloríese en el Señor.

That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

that, as it is written, “He who boasts, let him boast in the Lord.”
