1 Corintios 1

Pablo, llamado a ser apóstol de Jesu Cristo por la voluntad de Dios, y el hermano Sóstenes,

A la iglesia de Dios que está en Corinto, a los santificados en Cristo Jesús, llamados a ser santos, con todos los que en cualquier lugar invocan el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesu Cristo, así de ellos como el nuestro:

Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:

to the assembly of God which is at Corinth—those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called saints, with all who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ in every place, both theirs and ours:

Gracia a vosotros, y paz de Dios nuestro Padre, y del Señor Jesu Cristo.

I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ;

That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge;

De tal manera que nada os falte en ningún don, esperando la manifestación de nuestro Señor Jesu Cristo;

Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Fiel es Dios por el cual fuisteis llamados a la participación de su Hijo Jesu Cristo nuestro Señor.

God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

Os ruego, pues, hermanos, por el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesu Cristo, que habléis todos una misma cosa; y que no haya entre vosotros disensiones; antes seáis perfectamente unidos en un mismo entendimiento, y en un mismo parecer.

Porque me ha sido declarado de vosotros, hermanos míos, por los que son de la familia de Cloé, que hay entre vosotros contiendas.

For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.

Quiero decir, que cada uno de vosotros dice: Yo cierto soy de Pablo; mas yo de Apólos; mas yo de Céfas; mas yo de Cristo.

Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.

¿Es dividido Cristo? ¿Fue crucificado Pablo por vosotros? ¿o habéis sido bautizados en el nombre de Pablo?

Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?

Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized into the name of Paul?

Doy gracias a mi Dios, que a ninguno de vosotros he bautizado, mas que a Crispo y a Gayo;

Doy gracias á Dios, que á ninguno de vosotros he bautizado, sino á Crispo y á Gayo;

I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius;

Para que ninguno diga que yo le bauticé en mi nombre.

Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name.

so that no one should say that I had baptized you into my own name.

Y también bauticé la casa de Estéfanas; mas no sé si haya bautizado a algún otro.

And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other.

Porque no me envió Cristo a bautizar, sino a predicar el evangelio: no en sabiduría de palabra, porque no sea hecha vana la cruz de Cristo.

For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.

Porque la predicación de la cruz a la verdad, insensatez es para los que se pierden; mas para los que se salvan, es a saber, para nosotros, poder de Dios es.

Porque la palabra de la cruz es locura á los que se pierden; mas á los que se salvan, es á saber, á nosotros, es potencia de Dios.

For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are dying, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

Porque está escrito: Destruiré la sabiduría de los sabios, y la inteligencia de los entendidos haré venir a la nada.

For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.

¿En dónde está el sabio? ¿En dónde el escriba? ¿En dónde el disputador de este siglo? ¿No ha enloquecido Dios la sabiduría de este mundo?

¿Qué es del sabio? ¿qué del escriba? ¿qué del escudriñador de este siglo? ¿no ha enloquecido Dios la sabiduría del mundo?

Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Hasn’t God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

Porque por no haber el mundo conocido, en la sabiduría de Dios, a Dios por sabiduría, agradó a Dios salvar los creyentes por la insensatez de la predicación.

Porque por no haber el mundo conocido en la sabiduría de Dios á Dios por sabiduría, agradó á Dios salvar á los creyentes por la locura de la predicación.

For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

For seeing that in the wisdom of God, the world through its wisdom didn’t know God, it was God’s good pleasure through the foolishness of the preaching to save those who believe.

Porque los Judíos piden señales, y los Griegos buscan sabiduría;

For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:

Mas nosotros predicamos a Cristo crucificado, que es a los Judíos ciertamente tropezadero, y a los Griegos insensatez:

But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;

but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Greeks,

Empero a los llamados, así Judíos como Griegos, Cristo poder de Dios, y sabiduría de Dios.

But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God;

Porque la insensatez de Dios es más sabia que los hombres; y lo flaco de Dios es más fuerte que los hombres.

Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:

Antes las cosas fatuas del mundo escogió Dios para avergonzar a los sabios; y las cosas flacas del mundo escogió Dios para avergonzar a las que son fuertes;

Antes lo necio del mundo escogió Dios, para avergonzar á los sabios; y lo flaco del mundo escogió Dios, para avergonzar lo fuerte;

But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

but God chose the foolish things of the world that he might put to shame those who are wise. God chose the weak things of the world that he might put to shame the things that are strong.

Y las cosas viles del mundo, y las menospreciadas escogió Dios; y hasta las que no son, para deshacer las que son:

Y lo vil del mundo y lo menospreciado escogió Dios, y lo que no es, para deshacer lo que es:

And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:

God chose the lowly things of the world, and the things that are despised, and the things that don’t exist, that he might bring to nothing the things that exist,

But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

Because of him, you are in Christ Jesus, who was made to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption,

Para que, como está escrito: El que se gloría, gloríese en el Señor.

That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

that, as it is written, “He who boasts, let him boast in the Lord.”
