Queridos irmãos, mesmo quando estive com vocês, não usei palavras eloquentes nem de grande sabedoria para lhes apresentar o mistério de Deus.
ASÍ que, hermanos, cuando fuí á vosotros, no fuí con altivez de palabra, ó de sabiduría, á anunciaros el testimonio de Cristo.
And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.

Porque decidi nada saber entre vocês, a não ser Jesus Cristo e de sua morte na cruz.

e a mensagem e minha pregação foram muito simples, não com oratória persuasiva e sabedoria humana; entretanto, o poder do Espírito estava em minhas palavras, provando a todos quantos as ouviram que a mensagem vinha de Deus.

And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:

Fiz isso, porque desejava que vocês tivessem a sua fé firmemente baseada no poder de Deus, e não na sabedoria humana.
Para que vuestra fe no esté fundada en sabiduría de hombres, mas en poder de Dios.
That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

Contudo, quando estou entre servos de Cristo já maduros, falo com palavras de grande sabedoria, porém não aquela sabedoria que é daqui da terra, nem aquela sabedoria que apela para os grandes homens deste mundo, que estão condenados a perecer.
Empero hablamos sabiduría entre perfectos; y sabiduría, no de este siglo, ni de los príncipes de este siglo, que se deshacen:
Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:
We speak wisdom, however, among those who are full grown, yet a wisdom not of this world nor of the rulers of this world who are coming to nothing.
Ao contrário, nossas palavras são sábias, porque vêm de Deus, descrevendo o sábio plano de Deus para nos levar às glórias do céu. Esse plano estava oculto em tempos passados, embora tivesse sido preparado para nosso benefício antes do princípio do mundo.
Mas hablamos sabiduría de Dios en misterio, la sabiduría oculta, la cual Dios predestinó antes de los siglos para nuestra gloria:
But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
But we speak God’s wisdom in a mystery, the wisdom that has been hidden, which God foreordained before the worlds for our glory,
Entretanto, os poderosos homens do mundo não o compreenderam; se tivessem compreendido, nunca teriam crucificado o Senhor da glória.
La que ninguno de los príncipes de este siglo conoció; porque si la hubieran conocido, nunca hubieran crucificado al Señor de gloria:
Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
which none of the rulers of this world has known. For had they known it, they wouldn’t have crucified the Lord of glory.
Este é o significado das Escrituras: “Olho nenhum viu, ouvido nenhum ouviu, nem jamais o coração do homem percebeu, as coisas maravilhosas que Deus preparou para aqueles que amam o Senhor”.
Antes, como está escrito: Cosas que ojo no vió, ni oreja oyó, ni han subido en corazón de hombre, son las que ha Dios preparado para aquellos que le aman.
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
But as it is written, “Things which an eye didn’t see, and an ear didn’t hear, which didn’t enter into the heart of man, these God has prepared for those who love him.”
Nós, porém, sabemos dessas coisas, porque Deus enviou seu Espírito para as revelar a nós. O seu Espírito investiga todas as coisas, até mesmo os segredos mais profundos de Deus.
Empero Dios nos lo reveló á nosotros por el Espíritu: porque el Espíritu todo lo escudriña, aun lo profundo de Dios.
But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
But to us, God revealed them through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.
Ninguém, na verdade, pode saber o que outra pessoa está pensando, ou como ela é na realidade, exceto a própria pessoa. E ninguém pode conhecer os pensamentos de Deus, a não ser o próprio Espírito de Deus.
Porque ¿quién de los hombres sabe las cosas del hombre, sino el espíritu del hombre que está en él? Así tampoco nadie conoció las cosas de Dios, sino el Espíritu de Dios.
For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
For who among men knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so, no one knows the things of God except God’s Spirit.
Nós, porém, não recebemos o espírito do mundo, mas o Espírito enviado por Deus, para que possamos entender os admiráveis dons de graça e bênção concedidos por Deus a nós.
Y nosotros hemos recibido, no el espíritu del mundo, sino el Espíritu que es de Dios, para que conozcamos lo que Dios nos ha dado;
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
But we received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is from God, that we might know the things that were freely given to us by God.
Ao falar a vocês acerca desses dons, temos empregado as próprias palavras que nos foram dadas pelo Espírito, e não palavras ensinadas pela sabedoria humana. Assim explicamos as verdades espirituais aos que são espirituais.
Lo cual también hablamos, no con doctas palabras de humana sabiduría, mas con doctrina del Espíritu, acomodando lo espiritual á lo espiritual.
Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
We also speak these things, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual things.
Entretanto, o homem que não tem o Espírito não pode entender nem aceitar esses pensamentos que nos são ensinados pelo Espírito de Deus. Parecem-lhe loucura, porque só aqueles que têm o Espírito Santo em si mesmos é que podem compreender o que só pode ser entendido de maneira espiritual.
Mas el hombre animal no percibe las cosas que son del Espíritu de Dios, porque le son locura: y no las puede entender, porque se han de examinar espiritualmente.
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
Now the natural man doesn’t receive the things of God’s Spirit, for they are foolishness to him; and he can’t know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
O homem espiritual, porém, tem a percepção de todas as coisas, e isso incomoda e confunde o homem do mundo, que não pode de maneira nenhuma entender o homem espiritual, pois
Empero el espiritual juzga todas las cosas; mas él no es juzgado de nadie.
But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
But he who is spiritual discerns all things, and he himself is to be judged by no one.
“Quem conheceu a mente do Senhor? Quem poderia ensinar alguma coisa ou dar conselhos a ele?” Mas nós possuímos efetivamente a mente de Cristo.
Porque ¿quién conoció la mente del Señor? ¿quién le instruyó? Mas nosotros tenemos la mente de Cristo.
For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
“For who has known the mind of the Lord that he should instruct him?” But we have Christ’s mind.
