Assim, eu e Apolo devemos ser considerados como servos de Cristo encarregados da realização dos mistérios de Deus.

Assim, tenham cuidado de não tirarem conclusões apressadas, antes da volta do Senhor. Quando o Senhor voltar, derramará luz sobre o que está oculto nas trevas e mostrará as intenções do coração. Então todos saberão com que intenção temos feito a obra do Senhor. Naquele momento cada um receberá a aprovação de Deus que merecer.

Usei Apolo e a mim mesmo como exemplos, para ilustrar o que lhes digo: que vocês não devem ter preferências pessoais. Dentre aqueles que lhes ensinam a respeito de Deus, vocês não devem orgulhar-se mais por uma pessoa do que por outra.

Que é que faz vocês superiores a qualquer outra pessoa? Que é que vocês têm que Deus não lhes tenha dado? E, se tudo quanto vocês têm vem de Deus, por que proceder como se fossem tão grandes e como se tivessem realizado algo por si mesmos?
Porque ¿quién te distingue? ¿ó qué tienes que no hayas recibido? Y si lo recibiste, ¿de qué te glorías como si no hubieras recibido?
For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?
For who makes you different? And what do you have that you didn’t receive? But if you did receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?
Parece que vocês pensam que já têm tudo que precisam. Já são ricos! Vocês já se tornaram reis, deixando-nos para trás! Eu gostaria que, na realidade, vocês já estivessem em seus tronos, pois quando aquele momento chegar, podem estar certos de que nós também estaremos lá, reinando com vocês.

Temos respondido com mansidão quando se diziam coisas más a nosso respeito que não eram verdade. Até agora, somos como a sujeira debaixo dos pés, como lixo do mundo.

Eu sei que alguns de vocês se tornaram arrogantes, como se eu não fosse mais visitá-los.
