¿Cómo es que ustedes, cuando tienen algo contra otro creyente, acuden a las autoridades paganas para que juzguen el asunto, en vez de acudir a los cristianos?
¿OSA alguno de vosotros, teniendo algo con otro, ir á juicio delante de los injustos, y no delante de los santos?
Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints?
Dare any of you, having a matter against his neighbor, go to law before the unrighteous, and not before the saints?
¿Ignoran acaso que un día los cristianos van a juzgar al mundo? Y si esto es así, ¿por qué entonces no resuelven entre ustedes los pequeños litigios?
¿O no sabéis que los santos han de juzgar al mundo? Y si el mundo ha de ser juzgado por vosotros, ¿sois indignos de juzgar cosas muy pequeñas?
Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
Don’t you know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
¿No saben que vamos a juzgar a los ángeles? Con mayor razón podrán muy bien resolver las cuestiones de esta vida.
¿O no sabéis que hemos de juzgar á los ángeles? ¿cuánto más las cosas de este siglo?
Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

¿Por qué acudir entonces a jueces que no pertenecen a la iglesia para resolver sus asuntos?
Por tanto, si hubiereis de tener juicios de cosas de este siglo, poned para juzgar á los que son de menor estima en la iglesia.
If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church.
If then you have to judge things pertaining to this life, do you set them to judge who are of no account in the assembly?
Lo digo para que se avergüencen. ¿Es que no hay nadie en la iglesia que sea lo suficientemente sabio para resolver las disputas entre cristianos?
Para avergonzaros lo digo. ¿Pues qué, no hay entre vosotros sabio, ni aun uno que pueda juzgar entre sus hermanos;
I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren?
I say this to move you to shame. Isn’t there even one wise man among you who would be able to decide between his brothers?
En vez de esto, un hermano demanda a otro ¡ante los incrédulos!
Sino que el hermano con el hermano pleitea en juicio, y esto ante los infieles?

De por sí, el hecho de que haya litigios entre ustedes es ya una gran vergüenza. ¿Por qué no soportar la injusticia? ¿No sería mejor dejar que los defrauden?
Así que, por cierto es ya una falta en vosotros que tengáis pleitos entre vosotros mismos. ¿Por qué no sufrís antes la injuria? ¿por qué no sufrís antes ser defraudados?
Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded?
Therefore it is already altogether a defect in you that you have lawsuits one with another. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be defrauded?
Más doloroso es que ustedes mismos cometan agravios y defrauden a otros hermanos.
Empero vosotros hacéis la injuria, y defraudáis, y esto á los hermanos.
Nay, ye do wrong, and defraud, and that your brethren.
No, but you yourselves do wrong and defraud, and that against your brothers.
¿No saben que los que hacen eso no tendrán parte en el reino de Dios? Sépanlo bien: Los fornicarios, los idólatras, los adúlteros, los homosexuales y los pervertidos sexuales,

los ladrones, los avaros, los borrachos, los calumniadores y los estafadores no tendrán parte en el reino de Dios.
Ni los ladrones, ni los avaros, ni los borrachos, ni los maldicientes, ni los robadores, heredarán el reino de Dios.
Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

Varios de ustedes merecían antes estos calificativos, pero ya el Señor les lavó sus pecados, los santificó y los justificó en el nombre del Señor Jesucristo y por el Espíritu de nuestro Dios.
Y esto erais algunos: mas ya sois lavados, mas ya sois santificados, mas ya sois justificados en el nombre del Señor Jesús, y por el Espíritu de nuestro Dios.

All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.

«Los alimentos son para el estómago y el estómago para los alimentos», y así es, aunque Dios los destruirá a ambos. Ahora bien, el cuerpo no está hecho para la inmoralidad sexual, sino para el Señor; y el Señor para el cuerpo.
Las viandas para el vientre, y el vientre para las viandas; empero y á él y á ellas deshará Dios. Mas el cuerpo no es para la fornicación, sino para el Señor; y el Señor para el cuerpo:
Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.
“Foods for the belly, and the belly for foods,” but God will bring to nothing both it and them. But the body is not for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.
Un día, con su poder, Dios va a resucitar nuestro cuerpo al igual que resucitó al Señor.
Y Dios que levantó al Señor, también á nosotros nos levantará con su poder.

¿No comprenden que sus cuerpos son miembros de Cristo? ¿Tomaremos un miembro de Cristo y lo uniremos a una prostituta? ¡Jamás!

Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.
Don’t you know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? May it never be!
¿No saben que cuando un hombre se une a una prostituta se hace parte de ella y ella de él? Dios nos dice en las Escrituras que «los dos se vuelven una sola persona».
¿O no sabéis que el que se junta con una ramera, es hecho con ella un cuerpo? porque serán, dice, los dos en una carne.
What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.
Or don’t you know that he who is joined to a prostitute is one body? For, “The two”, he says, “will become one flesh.”
Pero cuando alguien se une al Señor, el Señor y esa persona se vuelven uno en el Espíritu.
Empero el que se junta con el Señor, un espíritu es.
But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

Por eso, precisamente, les digo que huyan de los pecados sexuales. Ningún otro tipo de pecado afecta al cuerpo como este. Cuando uno comete esos pecados, peca contra su propio cuerpo.
Huid la fornicación. Cualquier otro pecado que el hombre hiciere, fuera del cuerpo es; mas el que fornica, contra su propio cuerpo peca.
Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
Flee sexual immorality! “Every sin that a man does is outside the body,” but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.
¿No saben que el cuerpo es templo del Espíritu Santo, que Dios les dio, y que el Espíritu habita en ustedes? Ustedes no son sus propios dueños,
¿O ignoráis que vuestro cuerpo es templo del Espíritu Santo, el cual está en vosotros, el cual tenéis de Dios, y que no sois vuestros?
What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own,
porque Dios nos compró a gran precio. Por tanto, honren con su cuerpo a Dios.
Porque comprados sois por precio: glorificad pues á Dios en vuestro cuerpo y en vuestro espíritu, los cuales son de Dios.
For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.
