Se algum de vocês tem alguma coisa contra outro irmão, como se atreve a ir à justiça e pedir a um tribunal pagão que decida a questão, em vez de levá-la aos santos para decidirem quem de vocês está certo?
¿OSA alguno de vosotros, teniendo algo con otro, ir á juicio delante de los injustos, y no delante de los santos?
Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints?
Dare any of you, having a matter against his neighbor, go to law before the unrighteous, and not before the saints?
Vocês não sabem que os santos irão julgar o mundo? Assim sendo, se vocês vão julgar o mundo, por que é que não podem decidir nem mesmo essas causas menores, sem importância, entre vocês?
¿O no sabéis que los santos han de juzgar al mundo? Y si el mundo ha de ser juzgado por vosotros, ¿sois indignos de juzgar cosas muy pequeñas?
Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
Don’t you know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
Vocês não sabem que nós, os santos, julgaremos até mesmo os anjos? Portanto, vocês deveriam ser capazes de resolver seus problemas aqui na terra com toda a facilidade.
¿O no sabéis que hemos de juzgar á los ángeles? ¿cuánto más las cosas de este siglo?
Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

Por que, então, ir a juízes de fora que nem mesmo são da igreja para resolver uma questão entre irmãos?
Por tanto, si hubiereis de tener juicios de cosas de este siglo, poned para juzgar á los que son de menor estima en la iglesia.
If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church.
If then you have to judge things pertaining to this life, do you set them to judge who are of no account in the assembly?
Estou tentando dizer isso para vocês sentirem vergonha. Por acaso não existe ninguém, em toda a igreja, que seja bastante sábio para resolver essas disputas?
Para avergonzaros lo digo. ¿Pues qué, no hay entre vosotros sabio, ni aun uno que pueda juzgar entre sus hermanos;
I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren?
I say this to move you to shame. Isn’t there even one wise man among you who would be able to decide between his brothers?
Mas, em vez disso, um irmão processa o outro e acusa o seu irmão em Cristo diante de descrentes!

Só o fato de existirem tais questões entre vocês já significa uma verdadeira derrota para vocês como servos de Cristo. Por que não sofrer a injustiça? Seria muitíssimo mais honroso para o Senhor que vocês sofressem o prejuízo.
Así que, por cierto es ya una falta en vosotros que tengáis pleitos entre vosotros mismos. ¿Por qué no sufrís antes la injuria? ¿por qué no sufrís antes ser defraudados?
Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded?
Therefore it is already altogether a defect in you that you have lawsuits one with another. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be defrauded?
Em vez disso, vocês mesmos são os que erram, causando injustiças e prejuízos a outros, e isso contra seus próprios irmãos.

os ladrões, os gananciosos, os bêbados, os caluniadores e os salteadores não terão parte no Reino de Deus.
Ni los ladrones, ni los avaros, ni los borrachos, ni los maldicientes, ni los robadores, heredarán el reino de Dios.

Por exemplo, tomemos a questão da comida. Deus nos deu apetite pelo alimento e estômago para digeri-lo. Não pensem no comer como uma coisa importante, pois dia virá quando Deus acabará tanto com o estômago quanto com o alimento. Já a imoralidade sexual nunca está certa: Nossos corpos não foram feitos para isso, mas sim para o Senhor, e o Senhor deseja ser o dono do nosso corpo.
Las viandas para el vientre, y el vientre para las viandas; empero y á él y á ellas deshará Dios. Mas el cuerpo no es para la fornicación, sino para el Señor; y el Señor para el cuerpo:
Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.

E Deus, pelo seu poder, ressuscitará os nossos corpos dentre os mortos, tal como ressuscitou o Senhor.

Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.

Vocês não sabem que, se um homem se unir a uma prostituta, é um corpo com ela? Porque está escrito: “Os dois se tornam uma só pessoa”.
¿O no sabéis que el que se junta con una ramera, es hecho con ella un cuerpo? porque serán, dice, los dos en una carne.
What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.
Or don’t you know that he who is joined to a prostitute is one body? For, “The two”, he says, “will become one flesh.”
Entretanto, se vocês se unem ao Senhor, vocês se tornam um espírito com ele.

Eis por que eu digo: Fujam da imoralidade sexual. Nenhum outro pecado atinge o corpo como este. Quando vocês cometem este pecado, é contra o seu próprio corpo que vocês estão pecando.
Huid la fornicación. Cualquier otro pecado que el hombre hiciere, fuera del cuerpo es; mas el que fornica, contra su propio cuerpo peca.
Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
Flee sexual immorality! “Every sin that a man does is outside the body,” but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.
Será que vocês não sabem que o seu corpo é a morada do Espírito Santo que Deus lhes deu? Seu próprio corpo não lhes pertence.
¿O ignoráis que vuestro cuerpo es templo del Espíritu Santo, el cual está en vosotros, el cual tenéis de Dios, y que no sois vuestros?
What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own,
Porque Deus comprou vocês por preço elevado. Portanto, glorifiquem a Deus com o seu corpo.
Porque comprados sois por precio: glorificad pues á Dios en vuestro cuerpo y en vuestro espíritu, los cuales son de Dios.
For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.
