1 Corintios 8

»Was sodann das Götzenopferfleisch betrifft, so wissen wir, daß wir allesamt im Besitz der (erforderlichen) Erkenntnis sind.« Ja, aber die Erkenntnis macht dünkelhaft, die Liebe dagegen erbaut.

Y POR lo que hace á lo sacrificado á los ídolos, sabemos que todos tenemos ciencia. La ciencia hincha, mas la caridad edifica.

Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth.

Now concerning things sacrificed to idols: We know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up.

Wer sich auf seine Erkenntnis etwas einbildet, der hat noch nicht so erkannt, wie man erkennen muß;

Y si alguno se imagina que sabe algo, aun no sabe nada como debe saber.

And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know.

But if anyone thinks that he knows anything, he doesn’t yet know as he ought to know.

wer dagegen Gott liebt, der ist von ihm erkannt.

Mas si alguno ama á Dios, el tal es conocido de él.

But if any man love God, the same is known of him.

But anyone who loves God is known by him.

»Was nun den Genuß des Götzenopferfleisches betrifft, so wissen wir, daß es keinen Götzen in der Welt gibt und daß es keinen (anderen) Gott gibt als den einen.

Acerca, pues, de las viandas que son sacrificadas á los ídolos, sabemos que el ídolo nada es en el mundo, y que no hay más de un Dios.

As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one.

Therefore concerning the eating of things sacrificed to idols, we know that no idol is anything in the world, and that there is no other God but one.

Denn mag es auch sogenannte Götter, sei es im Himmel oder auf der Erde geben – es gibt ja (wirklich) viele solche Götter und viele Herren –,

Porque aunque haya algunos que se llamen dioses, ó en el cielo, ó en la tierra (como hay muchos dioses y muchos señores),

For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)

For though there are things that are called “gods”, whether in the heavens or on earth—as there are many “gods” and many “lords”—

so gibt es doch für uns (Christen) nur einen Gott, nämlich den Vater, von dem alle Dinge sind und wir zu ihm, und nur einen Herrn, nämlich Jesus Christus, durch den alle Dinge (geworden) sind und wir durch ihn.« –

Nosotros empero no tenemos más de un Dios, el Padre, del cual son todas las cosas, y nosotros en él: y un Señor Jesucristo, por el cual son todas las cosas, y nosotros por él.

But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

yet to us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and we live through him.

Ja, aber es besitzen nicht alle (Christen) solche Erkenntnis, vielmehr gibt es manche, die infolge ihrer (früheren) Gewöhnung an den Götzendienst (das Fleisch) noch als ein dem Götzen geweihtes Opfer essen, und so wird ihr Gewissen, schwach wie es ist, dadurch befleckt.

Mas no en todos hay esta ciencia: porque algunos con conciencia del ídolo hasta aquí, comen como sacrificado á ídolos; y su conciencia, siendo flaca, es contaminada.

Howbeit there is not in every man that knowledge: for some with conscience of the idol unto this hour eat it as a thing offered unto an idol; and their conscience being weak is defiled.

However, that knowledge isn’t in all men. But some, with consciousness of an idol until now, eat as of a thing sacrificed to an idol, and their conscience, being weak, is defiled.

»(Der Genuß von) Speise wird für unsere Stellung zu Gott nicht maßgebend sein: essen wir nicht, so haben wir dadurch keinen Nachteil, und essen wir, so haben wir dadurch keinen Vorteil.« –

Si bien la vianda no nos hace más aceptos á Dios: porque ni que comamos, seremos más ricos; ni que no comamos, seremos más pobres.

But meat commendeth us not to God: for neither, if we eat, are we the better; neither, if we eat not, are we the worse.

But food will not commend us to God. For neither, if we don’t eat are we the worse, nor if we eat are we the better.

Ja, aber sehet wohl zu, daß diese eure Freiheit für die Schwachen nicht zu einem Anstoß werde!

Mas mirad que esta vuestra libertad no sea tropezadero á los que son flacos.

But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumblingblock to them that are weak.

But be careful that by no means does this liberty of yours become a stumbling block to the weak.

Denn wenn jemand dich mit deiner »Erkenntnis« in einem Götzentempel am Mahl teilnehmen sieht, muß da nicht sein Gewissen, wenn er schwach ist, dazu »erbaut« werden, (ebenfalls) das Götzenopferfleisch zu essen?

Porque si te ve alguno, á ti que tienes ciencia, que estás sentado á la mesa en el lugar de los ídolos, ¿la conciencia de aquel que es flaco, no será adelantada á comer de lo sacrificado á los ídolos?

For if any man see thee which hast knowledge sit at meat in the idol’s temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols;

For if a man sees you who have knowledge sitting in an idol’s temple, won’t his conscience, if he is weak, be emboldened to eat things sacrificed to idols?

So wird dann der Schwache durch deine Erkenntnis ins Verderben gebracht, der Bruder, um dessen willen Christus gestorben ist!

Y por tu ciencia se perderá el hermano flaco por el cual Cristo murió.

And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died?

And through your knowledge, he who is weak perishes, the brother for whose sake Christ died.

Wenn ihr euch aber auf diese Weise an den Brüdern versündigt und ihr schwaches Gewissen mißhandelt, so versündigt ihr euch an Christus.

De esta manera, pues, pecando contra los hermanos, é hiriendo su flaca conciencia, contra Cristo pecáis.

But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ.

Thus, sinning against the brothers, and wounding their conscience when it is weak, you sin against Christ.

Darum, wenn Speise meinem Bruder zum Anstoß wird, so will ich in Ewigkeit kein Fleisch genießen, um meinem Bruder kein Ärgernis zu bereiten.

Por lo cual, si la comida es á mi hermano ocasión de caer, jamás comeré carne por no escandalizar á mi hermano.

Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend.

Therefore, if food causes my brother to stumble, I will eat no meat forever more, that I don’t cause my brother to stumble.
