1 Corintios 9

Eu castigo o meu corpo como um atleta faz, tratando-o com dureza, como o meu escravo. De outro modo, eu temo que, depois de ter pregado aos outros, eu mesmo seja reprovado.

Antes hiero mi cuerpo, y lo pongo en servidumbre; no sea que, habiendo predicado á otros, yo mismo venga á ser reprobado.

But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

but I beat my body and bring it into submission, lest by any means, after I have preached to others, I myself should be disqualified.
