Meus filhinhos, vos escrevo estas coisas para que não pequeis; mas se alguém pecar, temos um advogado com o Pai: Jesus Cristo, o justo.
HIJITOS míos, estas cosas os escribo, para que no pequéis; y si alguno hubiere pecado, abogado tenemos para con el Padre, á Jesucristo el justo;
My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
My little children, I write these things to you so that you may not sin. If anyone sins, we have a Counselor with the Father, Jesus Christ, the righteous.
E ele é o sacrifício para perdão dos nossos pecados; e não somente dos nossos, mas também dos de todo o mundo.
Y él es la propiciación por nuestros pecados: y no solamente por los nuestros, sino también por los de todo el mundo.
And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

E nisto sabemos que o conhecemos, se guardamos os seus mandamentos.

Aquele que diz: “Eu o conheço”, mas não guarda os seus mandamentos, é mentiroso, e nele não está a verdade.
El que dice, Yo le he conocido, y no guarda sus mandamientos, el tal es mentiroso, y no hay verdad en él;
He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
One who says, “I know him,” and doesn’t keep his commandments, is a liar, and the truth isn’t in him.
Mas quem guarda a sua palavra, nele verdadeiramente o amor de Deus tem se aperfeiçoado; nisso sabemos que estamos nele.
Mas el que guarda su palabra, la caridad de Dios está verdaderamente perfecta en él: por esto sabemos que estamos en él.
But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
But God’s love has most certainly been perfected in whoever keeps his word. This is how we know that we are in him:
Aquele que diz que está nele também deve andar como ele andou.
El que dice que está en él, debe andar como él anduvo.
He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
he who says he remains in him ought himself also to walk just like he walked.
Amados, não vos escrevo um mandamento novo, mas sim o mandamento antigo, que tivestes desde o princípio. Este mandamento antigo é a palavra que ouvistes.
Hermanos, no os escribo mandamiento nuevo, sino el mandamiento antiguo que habéis tenido desde el principio: el mandamiento antiguo es la palabra que habéis oído desde el principio.
Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning.

Mas também vos escrevo um mandamento novo, que é verdadeiro nele e em vós; pois as trevas passaram, e a verdadeira luz já ilumina.
Otra vez os escribo un mandamiento nuevo, que es verdadero en él y en vosotros; porque las tinieblas son pasadas, y la verdadera luz ya alumbra.
Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth.

Aquele que diz que está na luz, e odeia seu irmão, até agora está nas trevas.
El que dice que está en luz, y aborrece á su hermano, el tal aun está en tinieblas todavía.
He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.
He who says he is in the light and hates his brother is in the darkness even until now.
Aquele que ama o seu irmão está na luz, e nele não há motivo algum para pecar.
El que ama á su hermano, está en luz, y no hay tropiezo en él.
He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.
He who loves his brother remains in the light, and there is no occasion for stumbling in him.
Mas aquele que odeia seu irmão está nas trevas, anda nas trevas, e não sabe para onde vai, pois as trevas lhe cegaram os olhos.
Mas el que aborrece á su hermano, está en tinieblas, y anda en tinieblas, y no sabe á donde va; porque las tinieblas le han cegado los ojos.
But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.
But he who hates his brother is in the darkness, and walks in the darkness, and doesn’t know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.
Filhinhos, vos escrevo porque pelo nome dele os vossos pecados são perdoados.
Os escribo á vosotros, hijitos, porque vuestros pecados os son perdonados por su nombre.
I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name’s sake.

Pais, vos escrevo porque conheceis aquele que é desde o princípio. Jovens, vos escrevo porque vencestes o maligno. Crianças, vos escrevi porque conheceis o Pai.

Pais, vos escrevi porque conheceis aquele que é desde o princípio. Jovens, vos escrevi porque sois fortes, a palavra de Deus está em vós, e vencestes o maligno.
Os he escrito á vosotros, padres, porque habéis conocido al que es desde el principio. Os he escrito á vosotros, mancebos, porque sois fuertes, y la palabra de Dios mora en vosotros, y habéis vencido al maligno.

Não ameis o mundo, nem as coisas que há no mundo. Se alguém ama o mundo, o amor do Pai não está nele.
No améis al mundo, ni las cosas que están en el mundo. Si alguno ama al mundo, el amor del Padre no está en él.
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
Don’t love the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the Father’s love isn’t in him.
Pois tudo o que há no mundo, a cobiça da carne, a cobiça dos olhos, e a ostentação da vida, não é do Pai, mas do mundo.
Porque todo lo que hay en el mundo, la concupiscencia de la carne, y la concupiscencia de los ojos, y la soberbia de la vida, no es del Padre, mas es del mundo.
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

O mundo passa, e também a sua cobiça; mas aquele que faz a vontade de Deus permanece para sempre.

Filhinhos, é a última hora. E como ouvistes que o anticristo vem, já agora muitos anticristos chegaram. Por isso sabemos que é a última hora.
Hijitos, ya es el último tiempo: y como vosotros habéis oído que el anticristo ha de venir, así también al presente han comenzado á ser muchos anticristos; por lo cual sabemos que es el último tiempo.
Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
Little children, these are the end times, and as you heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have arisen. By this we know that it is the final hour.
Eles saíram de nós, mas não eram dos nossos, pois se fossem dos nossos, continuariam conosco; mas o que aconteceu foi para tornar claro que todos eles não eram dos nossos.

Quem é o mentiroso, senão aquele que nega que Jesus é o Cristo? Esse é o anticristo, que nega o Pai e o Filho.
¿Quién es mentiroso, sino el que niega que Jesús es el Cristo? Este tal es anticristo, que niega al Padre y al Hijo.
Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the Antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son.
Quem nega o Filho também não tem o Pai; aquele que confessa o filho também tem o Pai.
Cualquiera que niega al Hijo, este tal tampoco tiene al Padre. Cualquiera que confiese al Hijo tiene también al Padre.
Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: but he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
Whoever denies the Son doesn’t have the Father. He who confesses the Son has the Father also.
O que ouvistes desde o princípio permaneça em vós. Se o que ouvistes desde o princípio permanecer em vós, também permanecereis no Filho e no Pai.
Pues lo que habéis oído desde el principio, sea permaneciente en vosotros. Si lo que habéis oído desde el principio fuere permaneciente en vosotros, también vosotros permaneceréis en el Hijo y en el Padre.
Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.
Therefore, as for you, let that remain in you which you heard from the beginning. If that which you heard from the beginning remains in you, you also will remain in the Son, and in the Father.
E esta é a promessa que ele nos prometeu: a vida eterna.
Y esta es la promesa, la cual él nos prometió, la vida eterna.
And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.

Estas coisas vos escrevi acerca dos que vos tentam vos enganar.
Os he escrito esto sobre los que os engañan.
These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.
These things I have written to you concerning those who would lead you astray.
E a unção que recebeste dele continua em vós, e não tendes necessidade de que alguém vos ensine; mas, como a unção dele vos ensina tudo, e é verdadeira, e não mentira, e como ela vos ensinou, assim nele permanecei.
Pero la unción que vosotros habéis recibido de él, mora en vosotros, y no tenéis necesidad que ninguno os enseñe; mas como la unción misma os enseña de todas cosas, y es verdadera, y no es mentira, así como os ha enseñado, perseveraréis en él.
But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
As for you, the anointing which you received from him remains in you, and you don’t need for anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, you will remain in him.
E agora, filhinhos, permanecei nele; a fim de que, quando ele se manifestar, tenhamos confiança, e não sejamos envergonhados diante dele na sua vinda.
Y ahora, hijitos, perseverad en él; para que cuando apareciere, tengamos confianza, y no seamos confundidos de él en su venida.
And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
Now, little children, remain in him, that when he appears, we may have boldness and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
Se sabeis que ele é justo, sabeis que todo aquele que pratica a justiça é nascido dele.
Si sabéis que él es justo, sabed también que cualquiera que hace justicia, es nacido de él.
If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.
If you know that he is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness has been born of him.
