Mes petits enfants, je vous écris ces choses, afin que vous ne péchiez point ; que si quelqu’un a péché, nous avons un avocat envers le Père, savoir Jésus-Christ, le Juste.

HIJITOS míos, estas cosas os escribo, para que no pequéis; y si alguno hubiere pecado, abogado tenemos para con el Padre, á Jesucristo el justo;

My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

My little children, I write these things to you so that you may not sin. If anyone sins, we have a Counselor with the Father, Jesus Christ, the righteous.

Car c’est lui qui est la victime de propitiation pour nos péchés, et non seulement pour les nôtres, mais aussi pour ceux de tout le monde.

Y él es la propiciación por nuestros pecados: y no solamente por los nuestros, sino también por los de todo el mundo.

And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

And he is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the whole world.

Et par ceci nous savons que nous l’avons connu, savoir, si nous gardons ses commandements.

Y en esto sabemos que nosotros le hemos conocido, si guardamos sus mandamientos.

And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

This is how we know that we know him: if we keep his commandments.

Celui qui dit : Je l’ai connu, et qui ne garde point ses commandements, il est menteur, et il n’y a point de vérité en lui.

El que dice, Yo le he conocido, y no guarda sus mandamientos, el tal es mentiroso, y no hay verdad en él;

He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

One who says, “I know him,” and doesn’t keep his commandments, is a liar, and the truth isn’t in him.

Mais pour celui qui garde sa parole, l’amour de Dieu est véritablement accompli en lui, et c’est par cela que nous savons que nous sommes en lui.

Mas el que guarda su palabra, la caridad de Dios está verdaderamente perfecta en él: por esto sabemos que estamos en él.

But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

But God’s love has most certainly been perfected in whoever keeps his word. This is how we know that we are in him:

Celui qui dit qu’il demeure en lui, doit vivre comme Jésus-Christ lui-même a vécu.

El que dice que está en él, debe andar como él anduvo.

He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

he who says he remains in him ought himself also to walk just like he walked.

Mes frères, je ne vous écris point un commandement nouveau, mais le commandement ancien, que vous avez eu dès le commencement ; et ce commandement ancien c’est la parole que vous avez entendue dès le commencement.

Hermanos, no os escribo mandamiento nuevo, sino el mandamiento antiguo que habéis tenido desde el principio: el mandamiento antiguo es la palabra que habéis oído desde el principio.

Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning.

Brothers, I write no new commandment to you, but an old commandment which you had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which you heard from the beginning.

Cependant le commandement que je vous écris est un commandement nouveau, et est une chose véritable en lui et en vous, parce que les ténèbres sont passées, et que la vraie lumière luit maintenant.

Otra vez os escribo un mandamiento nuevo, que es verdadero en él y en vosotros; porque las tinieblas son pasadas, y la verdadera luz ya alumbra.

Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth.

Again, I write a new commandment to you, which is true in him and in you, because the darkness is passing away and the true light already shines.

Celui qui dit qu’il est en la lumière, et qui hait son frère, est dans les ténèbres jusqu’à cette heure.

El que dice que está en luz, y aborrece á su hermano, el tal aun está en tinieblas todavía.

He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.

He who says he is in the light and hates his brother is in the darkness even until now.

Celui qui aime son frère, demeure dans la lumière, et il n’y a rien en lui qui le puisse faire tomber.

El que ama á su hermano, está en luz, y no hay tropiezo en él.

He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.

He who loves his brother remains in the light, and there is no occasion for stumbling in him.

Mais celui qui hait son frère, est dans les ténèbres, et il marche dans les ténèbres, et il ne sait où il va ; car les ténèbres lui ont aveuglé les yeux.

Mas el que aborrece á su hermano, está en tinieblas, y anda en tinieblas, y no sabe á donde va; porque las tinieblas le han cegado los ojos.

But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.

But he who hates his brother is in the darkness, and walks in the darkness, and doesn’t know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.

Mes petits enfants, je vous écris, parce que vos péchés vous sont pardonnés par son Nom.

Os escribo á vosotros, hijitos, porque vuestros pecados os son perdonados por su nombre.

I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name’s sake.

I write to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name’s sake.

Pères, je vous écris, parce que vous avez connu celui qui est dès le commencement. Jeunes gens, je vous écris, parce que vous avez vaincu le malin esprit.

Os escribo á vosotros, padres, porque habéis conocido á aquel que es desde el principio. Os escribo á vosotros, mancebos, porque habéis vencido al maligno. Os escribo á vosotros, hijitos, porque habéis conocido al Padre.

I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father.

I write to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one. I write to you, little children, because you know the Father.

Jeunes enfants, je vous écris, parce que vous avez connu le Père. Pères, je vous ai écrit, parce que vous avez connu celui qui est dès le commencement. Jeunes gens, je vous ai écrit, parce que vous êtes forts, et que la parole de Dieu demeure en vous, et que vous avez vaincu le malin esprit.

Os he escrito á vosotros, padres, porque habéis conocido al que es desde el principio. Os he escrito á vosotros, mancebos, porque sois fuertes, y la palabra de Dios mora en vosotros, y habéis vencido al maligno.

I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.

I have written to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God remains in you, and you have overcome the evil one.

N’aimez point le monde, ni les choses qui sont au monde ; si quelqu’un aime le monde, l’amour du Père n’est point en lui.

No améis al mundo, ni las cosas que están en el mundo. Si alguno ama al mundo, el amor del Padre no está en él.

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

Don’t love the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the Father’s love isn’t in him.

Car tout ce qui est au monde, c’est-à-dire, la convoitise de la chair, la convoitise des yeux, et l’orgueil de la vie, n’est point du Père, mais est du monde.

Porque todo lo que hay en el mundo, la concupiscencia de la carne, y la concupiscencia de los ojos, y la soberbia de la vida, no es del Padre, mas es del mundo.

For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—isn’t the Father’s, but is the world’s.

Et le monde passe, avec sa convoitise ; mais celui qui fait la volonté de Dieu, demeure éternellement.

Y el mundo se pasa, y su concupiscencia; mas el que hace la voluntad de Dios, permanece para siempre.

And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

The world is passing away with its lusts, but he who does God’s will remains forever.

Jeunes enfants, c’est ici le dernier temps ; et comme vous avez entendu que l’Antechrist viendra, il y a même dès maintenant plusieurs Antechrists ; et nous connaissons à cela que c’est le dernier temps.

Hijitos, ya es el último tiempo: y como vosotros habéis oído que el anticristo ha de venir, así también al presente han comenzado á ser muchos anticristos; por lo cual sabemos que es el último tiempo.

Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

Little children, these are the end times, and as you heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have arisen. By this we know that it is the final hour.

Ils sont sortis d’entre nous, mais ils n’étaient point d’entre nous : car s’ils eussent été d’entre nous, ils fussent demeurés avec nous, mais c’est afin qu’il fût manifesté que tous ne sont point d’entre nous.

Salieron de nosotros, mas no eran de nosotros; porque si fueran de nosotros, hubieran cierto permanecido con nosotros; pero salieron para que se manifestase que todos no son de nosotros.

They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

They went out from us, but they didn’t belong to us; for if they had belonged to us, they would have continued with us. But they left, that they might be revealed that none of them belong to us.

Mais vous avez été oints par le Saint esprit, et vous connaissez toutes choses.

Mas vosotros tenéis la unción del Santo, y conocéis todas las cosas.

But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.

You have an anointing from the Holy One, and you all have knowledge.

Je ne vous ai pas écrit comme si vous ne connaissiez point la vérité, mais parce que vous la connaissez, et qu’aucun mensonge n’est de la vérité.

No os he escrito como si ignoraseis la verdad, sino como á los que la conocéis, y que ninguna mentira es de la verdad.

I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.

I have not written to you because you don’t know the truth, but because you know it, and because no lie is of the truth.

Qui est le menteur, sinon celui qui nie que Jésus est le Christ ? celui-là est l’Antechrist qui nie le Père et le Fils.

¿Quién es mentiroso, sino el que niega que Jesús es el Cristo? Este tal es anticristo, que niega al Padre y al Hijo.

Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the Antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son.

Quiconque nie le Fils, n’a point non plus le Père ; quiconque confesse le Fils, a aussi le Père.

Cualquiera que niega al Hijo, este tal tampoco tiene al Padre. Cualquiera que confiese al Hijo tiene también al Padre.

Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: †but he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.

Whoever denies the Son doesn’t have the Father. He who confesses the Son has the Father also.

Que donc ce que vous avez entendu dès le commencement demeure en vous, car si ce que vous avez entendu dès le commencement demeure en vous, vous demeurerez aussi au Fils et au Père.

Pues lo que habéis oído desde el principio, sea permaneciente en vosotros. Si lo que habéis oído desde el principio fuere permaneciente en vosotros, también vosotros permaneceréis en el Hijo y en el Padre.

Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.

Therefore, as for you, let that remain in you which you heard from the beginning. If that which you heard from the beginning remains in you, you also will remain in the Son, and in the Father.

Et c’est ici la promesse qu’il vous a annoncée, savoir la vie éternelle.

Y esta es la promesa, la cual él nos prometió, la vida eterna.

And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.

This is the promise which he promised us, the eternal life.

Je vous ai écrit ces choses touchant ceux qui vous séduisent.

Os he escrito esto sobre los que os engañan.

These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.

These things I have written to you concerning those who would lead you astray.

Mais l’Onction que vous avez reçue de lui demeure en vous, et vous n’avez pas besoin qu’on vous enseigne ; mais comme la même Onction vous enseigne toutes choses, et qu’elle est véritable, et n’est pas un mensonge, et selon qu’elle vous a enseignés, vous demeurerez en lui.

Pero la unción que vosotros habéis recibido de él, mora en vosotros, y no tenéis necesidad que ninguno os enseñe; mas como la unción misma os enseña de todas cosas, y es verdadera, y no es mentira, así como os ha enseñado, perseveraréis en él.

But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

As for you, the anointing which you received from him remains in you, and you don’t need for anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, you will remain in him.

Maintenant donc, mes petits enfants, demeurez en lui ; afin que quand il apparaîtra, nous ayons assurance, et que nous ne soyons point confus de sa présence, à sa venue.

Y ahora, hijitos, perseverad en él; para que cuando apareciere, tengamos confianza, y no seamos confundidos de él en su venida.

And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.

Now, little children, remain in him, that when he appears, we may have boldness and not be ashamed before him at his coming.

Si vous savez qu’il est juste, sachez que quiconque fait ce qui est juste, est né de lui.

Si sabéis que él es justo, sabed también que cualquiera que hace justicia, es nacido de él.

If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.

If you know that he is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness has been born of him.
