HIJITOS míos, estas cosas os escribo, para que no pequéis; y si alguno hubiere pecado, abogado tenemos para con el Padre, á Jesucristo el justo;
My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

Celui qui dit: Je l’ai connu, et qui ne garde pas ses commandements, est un menteur, et la vérité n’est point en lui.
El que dice, Yo le he conocido, y no guarda sus mandamientos, el tal es mentiroso, y no hay verdad en él;
He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
One who says, “I know him,” and doesn’t keep his commandments, is a liar, and the truth isn’t in him.
Mais celui qui garde sa parole, l’amour de Dieu est véritablement parfait en lui: par là nous savons que nous sommes en lui.
Mas el que guarda su palabra, la caridad de Dios está verdaderamente perfecta en él: por esto sabemos que estamos en él.
But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
But God’s love has most certainly been perfected in whoever keeps his word. This is how we know that we are in him:
Celui qui dit qu’il demeure en lui doit marcher aussi comme il a marché lui-même.

Hermanos, no os escribo mandamiento nuevo, sino el mandamiento antiguo que habéis tenido desde el principio: el mandamiento antiguo es la palabra que habéis oído desde el principio.

El que dice que está en luz, y aborrece á su hermano, el tal aun está en tinieblas todavía.
He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.
He who says he is in the light and hates his brother is in the darkness even until now.
Celui qui aime son frère demeure dans la lumière, et aucune occasion de chute n’est en lui.
El que ama á su hermano, está en luz, y no hay tropiezo en él.
He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.
He who loves his brother remains in the light, and there is no occasion for stumbling in him.
Mais celui qui hait son frère est dans les ténèbres, il marche dans les ténèbres, et il ne sait où il va, parce que les ténèbres ont aveuglé ses yeux.
Mas el que aborrece á su hermano, está en tinieblas, y anda en tinieblas, y no sabe á donde va; porque las tinieblas le han cegado los ojos.
But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.

N’aimez point le monde, ni les choses qui sont dans le monde. Si quelqu’un aime le monde, l’amour du Père n’est point en lui;
No améis al mundo, ni las cosas que están en el mundo. Si alguno ama al mundo, el amor del Padre no está en él.
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
Don’t love the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the Father’s love isn’t in him.
car tout ce qui est dans le monde, la convoitise de la chair, la convoitise des yeux, et l’orgueil de la vie, ne vient point du Père, mais vient du monde.
Porque todo lo que hay en el mundo, la concupiscencia de la carne, y la concupiscencia de los ojos, y la soberbia de la vida, no es del Padre, mas es del mundo.
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

Hijitos, ya es el último tiempo: y como vosotros habéis oído que el anticristo ha de venir, así también al presente han comenzado á ser muchos anticristos; por lo cual sabemos que es el último tiempo.
Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
Little children, these are the end times, and as you heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have arisen. By this we know that it is the final hour.

Qui est menteur, sinon celui qui nie que Jésus est le Christ? Celui-là est l’antéchrist, qui nie le Père et le Fils.
¿Quién es mentiroso, sino el que niega que Jesús es el Cristo? Este tal es anticristo, que niega al Padre y al Hijo.
Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the Antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son.
Quiconque nie le Fils n’a pas non plus le Père; quiconque confesse le Fils a aussi le Père.
Cualquiera que niega al Hijo, este tal tampoco tiene al Padre. Cualquiera que confiese al Hijo tiene también al Padre.
Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: but he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
Whoever denies the Son doesn’t have the Father. He who confesses the Son has the Father also.
Que ce que vous avez entendu dès le commencement demeure en vous. Si ce que vous avez entendu dès le commencement demeure en vous, vous demeurerez aussi dans le Fils et dans le Père.
Pues lo que habéis oído desde el principio, sea permaneciente en vosotros. Si lo que habéis oído desde el principio fuere permaneciente en vosotros, también vosotros permaneceréis en el Hijo y en el Padre.
Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.
Therefore, as for you, let that remain in you which you heard from the beginning. If that which you heard from the beginning remains in you, you also will remain in the Son, and in the Father.
Et la promesse qu’il nous a faite, c’est la vie éternelle.

Je vous ai écrit ces choses au sujet de ceux qui vous égarent.
Os he escrito esto sobre los que os engañan.
These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.
These things I have written to you concerning those who would lead you astray.
Pour vous, l’onction que vous avez reçue de lui demeure en vous, et vous n’avez pas besoin qu’on vous enseigne; mais comme son onction vous enseigne toutes choses, et qu’elle est véritable et qu’elle n’est point un mensonge, demeurez en lui selon les enseignements qu’elle vous a donnés.
Pero la unción que vosotros habéis recibido de él, mora en vosotros, y no tenéis necesidad que ninguno os enseñe; mas como la unción misma os enseña de todas cosas, y es verdadera, y no es mentira, así como os ha enseñado, perseveraréis en él.
But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
As for you, the anointing which you received from him remains in you, and you don’t need for anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, you will remain in him.
Et maintenant, petits enfants, demeurez en lui, afin que, lorsqu’il paraîtra, nous ayons de l’assurance, et qu’à son avènement nous ne soyons pas confus et éloignés de lui.
Y ahora, hijitos, perseverad en él; para que cuando apareciere, tengamos confianza, y no seamos confundidos de él en su venida.
And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
Now, little children, remain in him, that when he appears, we may have boldness and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
Si vous savez qu’il est juste, reconnaissez que quiconque pratique la justice est né de lui.
Si sabéis que él es justo, sabed también que cualquiera que hace justicia, es nacido de él.
If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.
If you know that he is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness has been born of him.
